Romance RP

Nala meowed curiously, wondering why Lycoris stopped petting her.  Ryan smiled sadly and replied, "If you really feel that way, I can hold off on getting you a pet but I think it would be a good idea if you eventually have one.  And hey, we're going to figure out what's up with your powers.  I'll continue looking into it more.  We're not going to give up, ok?"

Alex nodded and added, "Ryan's right.  We'll all try to figure this out."

Matthew blushed as well and happily replied, "I can't live without you, either, Anjela.  I love you forever and I always, always will."

Lycoris smiled a little more and nodding, she said, "Yes, of course. I won't give up. I'll learn how to control my powers eventually."

She continued petting Nala's head again as well as scratching her back. Meanwhile, Lady Penelope had finished cleaning up in the kitchen and joined the others although she just took a seat in an armchair quietly, looking both tired and thoughtful. She expected Matthew to come back any moment and she waited for him eagerly.

Anjela smiled softly and gazed lovingly at Matthew for a few moments, but then her facial expression got a little serious and she said,

"You should probably go back to Ryan's place now and get things done so we can get moving. Umm what will you tell mum?"

Of course, Anjela had no idea Matthew had already contacted Lady Penelope.

Ryan nodded and replied, "That's the spirit."

Meanwhile, Matthew looked thoughtful and replied, "I guess I'll tell her the same thing that I'll tell the others-that I had fallen asleep and by the time I woke up, you were gone.  But wait..."

He thought of something and said, "Anjela, if Sia gets her memory back and knows that you ran away, won't she just go hunting for you?  I'm scared that she'll hurt you or worse."

Anjela smirked a bit and replied,

"I would like that. Having the queen regain her memory would be just perfect. It would be no fun killing her when she doesn't even remember what she committed. As for hunting me down, that's what I expect. I'm wanted in the gods' world anyways so I'll have to be careful either way."

Matthew nodded sadly although he didn't say anything in response.  It troubled him that Anjela still wanted to kill Lisianthus although he understood where her anger was coming from.  He knew that Lisianthus had regained her memory but he didn't want to tell Anjela, as he knew that would only motivate her to kill her.

Anjela observed Matthew's silence and although he didn't say anything, she could tell what he was thinking. She sighed to herself, realizing that the only thing Matthew didn't like about her was her desire for revenge, and that it was the only thing that put them at odds. How would he accompany her when her every move from now then would be headed into that direction?

She turned her gaze away and quietly said, "You know, this is exactly what I was talking about earlier. You don't like the path I am walking into and I understand. But you don't have to watch me as I go into it. You-you don't have to come with me, Matt. I won't bear to see this look on your face with every step I take."

Matthew sighed and replied, "Anjela, I said I'd come with you and I'm not changing my mind.  It's true that I'm not exactly comfortable with this path you're taking but I'm not going to stop you.  You'd do the same for me, I'd hope."

Anjela turned to face Matthew and looking sadly at him, she said,

"I would. But as I said, I don't want to disappoint you. You haven't seen the worst of me. You don't like hearing me when I just talk about it, so let alone seeing me act on it. And I am not blaming you; I don't expect that you'd encourage me or cheer me on. But I-I hate seeing the sadness in your eyes every time I speak of this."

Matthew replied, "If it'll help, I'll try better to hide my feelings.  The last thing I want is for you to feel upset at me.  I want you to do what you feel is right for you, Anjela.  I'll try to be more supportive."

He gently squeezed her hands, as though to affirm his thoughts.

Anjela took a deep breath and smiling a little at Matthew, she gave his hand a squeeze back and said,

"Thanks, Matt. I just don't you to have to do something against your will for me, or to go against your own principles and ideas for me. I understand that you're also a doctor, and instinctively you want to save people, not kill them. I understand."

Matthew smiled as well and replied, "Thanks, Anjela.  You're right.  As a doctor, I don't think about killing people as an option unless it's something like self-defense or in very rare cases, if someone is really sick and there's no way to cure them.  But those cases are rare."

Anjela nodded and replied, "I understand. It's not like I am a serial killer or something, or I do it for the fun of it. I have tried to avoid that option as long as I could as well, but sometimes, killing can also be used as a punishment, when we're talking about a ruthless queen who kills for almost no reason."

She sighed then said, "Anyways, you should go. We really need to get moving."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Ok.  Do you want to wait here until I get back?  Or should we meet somewhere else?"

Anjela replied, "I can wait here unless you can think of a better place? But I think here will do. I'll wait for you then we can get moving as soon as you're back."

Matthew nodded and smiling, he replied, "Ok then.  You just rest here and I'll be back with my things as soon as I'm done."

He leaned in to give Anjela a sweet kiss before departing.

Anjela returned the kiss most lovingly, pouring all her love into it. She wrapped her arms around Matthew's neck and deepened the kiss, making it more passionate than ever. For some reason, the kiss was almost misted with sadness, as though Anjela was really showing Matthew how much she truly loved him and asking for forgiveness in the same time, for what she planned to do.

Matthew continued to kiss Anjela for a few more sweet, loving moments and once the kiss ended, he gazed lovingly into Anjela's eyes and said,

"I love you so very, very, very much, Anjela, and I always will."

Anjela's heart swelled with warmth at hearing Matthew's words that she couldn't help but lean in to kiss him again. After the kiss was broken, she gazed at him warmly and caressing his cheek tenderly, she said,

"And I love you so deeply, so truly, so very, very much, Matt. Please remember that always and never doubt it."

Matthew smiled and replied, "I'll never doubt your love for me and I hope you'll never doubt my love for you."

He took a breath and then said, "Guess I should get going but I'll be back soon."

Anjela nodded and replied, "Okay, I'll be waiting for you. Don't take long, okay? And don't tell mum about anything. Just tell her that I ran off and you have no idea where I am."

Matthew nodded and replied, "I understand.  I won't be long."

He gave Anjela a quick kiss and then left the room, heading downstairs and soon out of the inn, heading out of town and to Ryan's place.  Even though he had already told Lady Penelope everything, he wasn't going to say so to Anjela.

Anjela watched as Matthew went out of the room then sat down on the couch. She took a deep breath and her mind was pushing her to just get up, take her things and leave. She didn't want to hurt Matthew and it was inevitable if he would accompany her, walk down the road with her. If they would be separated anyways, why not finish things now and then before he got hurt? It ached her heart to think of that however and she didn't know what to do.

(Awww I hope Anjela doesn't do that.  Matthew would just feel betrayed.  :/)

Matthew continued the walk up the hill towards Ryan's place.  Although he could have run, he knew that it would take a toll on his heart so he opted to walk quickly.  Soon, he made it back up and after passing through the barrier, he entered the door, prepared to execute the plan.

Lady Penelope was waiting eagerly, expecting Matthew to be back any moment. As she heard someone walk through the door, she quickly got out of the living room and went to the door to see Matthew. Although she knew he would be alone, she was still heartbroken to see that Anjela really didn't come.

She looked sadly at him and quietly said so the others wouldn't hear, "She will still leave."

Meanwhile, Anjela's mind kept racing to and fro for a while but in the end, she decided that she wasn't going anywhere. Matthew trusted her and she decided to place her faith into him as well. And her heart just wouldn't allow her to leave him and walk back on him, for she needed him and loved him as much as he did to her.

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, I'm afraid so but I will be with her the entire time.  Umm, my lady, we don't have much time but since Sia has her memory back, should I still go with the plan that Anjela ran away or come up with something else?"
