Romance RP

Lisianthus ate her food happily, enjoying the oatmeal with chocolate. As they ate though, she furrowed her eyebrows and remembering something, she said,

"Where are Matthew and that shapeshifter? Why aren't they here?"

Anjela returned the kiss lovingly, pouring all her emotions into it. After it was eventually broken, she gazed lovingly at Matthew but then her gaze turned into one of sadness. She quietly said,

"I-I know you've probably grown tired of me asking you this but are you sure you want to come? You-you realize what I am heading back to the gods' world for, right? Will you be able to take it? I-I mean, watching me go down that road, seeing me in a different light? Will you continue loving me then?"

Although Ryan knew that Lady Penelope could answer, he felt that it would be better if he did, so he replied,

"They went out early in the morning for a walk but they should be back later.  Isn't that right, my lady?"

He looked to Lady Penelope for confirmation.

Matthew looked seriously at Anjela and replied, "Yes, I will.  I love you, Anjela, and I always will.  I promise you that will never change, no matter what path you go down.  I am with you always."

Lady Penelope nodded quickly and replied, "Ahh yes, yes, that's right. I made sure to leave some breakfast aside for them."

She gave Ryan a grateful, silent look. Lisianthus raised an eyebrow but nodding, she said, "Okay. Those two are getting really close."

She didn't look pleased by the thought, as she considered Matthew a friend and didn't want him spending too much time around a criminal.

Anjela was moved by Matthew's words and she held both of his hands in hers. But continuing to look at him worriedly, she replied,

"But you haven't seen the worst of me yet. I mean, the worst you've probably seen me do was kidnap that captain's wife and I know that deep down, you didn't approve of it. What if you see me do worse things? What if you witness a darker side of me? It-it's nothing that I am proud of, nothing that I like to show, but it's there. What if you don't like that Anjela?"

Ryan didn't reply to Lisianthus' comment but rather just shrugged and continued to eat.  Instead, he looked to Lisianthus and asked, "What did you give Nala for breakfast, beautiful?"

Matthew gently squeezed Anjela's hands and softly replied, "Anjela, I will always love you, no matter how dark that side of yours you speak of gets.  We all have our dark sides.  Just because you haven't seen mine doesn't mean it isn't there.  But I will never stop loving you, no matter what.  I promise."

Lisianthus looked to Ryan and said, "I found some leftover chicken slices in the icebox, so I cut them up and put them for her. She is eating happily in the kitchen."

Anjela looked uncertainly at Matthew but she didn't say anything, moved by his words. She reached out to caress Matthew's cheek tenderly and softly said,

"I guess I just...I don't want to disappoint you. You think highly of me despite all my flaws and I-I don't want to let you down."

Ryan smiled and replied, "Awww that's good.  As long as Nala is fed meat and given water, she'll be good.  I can imagine how well she'll be treated as the royal pet."

Matthew smiled softly at Anjela and replied, "You'll never disappoint me.  I know in my heart to be true.  So don't you worry.  I will always love you, no matter what."

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off for the night now but I'll post again tomorrow and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lisianthus grinned happily and replied, "Of course. She'll only have the very best."

Lycoris looked curious and asked, "You have a pet cat now, Sia?"

Lisianthus nodded happily and replied, "Yup, Ryan got it for me. I'll introduce you to her right after breakfast, Lycoris. I am sure she'll love you."

Anjela smiled tenderly at Matthew and continued caressing his cheek for a moment, then looking seriously at him, she said,

"Okay. I want you to promise me a few things, Matt. I need to make sure you understand the whole situation."

She paused then slowly said, "For one, I want you to promise me that you won't get yourself in trouble, even if it's to help me. You can't get involved. And that you won't stop me from doing anything that could help me accomplish my goal, no matter how bad it is, or even if it hurts me or gets me in grave danger."

Ryan grinned and added, "Nala's quite the sweetie."

Alex smiled and replied, "We're curious to meet her."

Although Matthew couldn't really promise those things to Anjela, he knew that he had to in order to stay close to her and to help save her, as he told Lady Penelope that he would.  So he nodded and said,

"I promise.  All I want is to be with you always."

Lycoris smiled softly and nodding, she said, "Yes, I'd like to see her too. I haven't been around a cat before. I only had the chance to keep Bryan's and Rosaline's puppies for a while, but I never got the chance to play with a kitten."

Anjela smiled a bit, glad that Matthew made the promise and she had faith he would keep it. She nodded and continuing to look seriously at him, a bit sadly too, she continued,

"Okay. I want you to know this too. No matter what happens, let's agree that this road will inevitably end with my death. Whether I succeed or fail, it's the eventual outcome. A happy ending won't be for us. That-that is why our love is bound to end, Matt, why we aren't made to be. We-we're just extending the time we have together. Please understand this, okay?"

She reached out to squeeze his hand gently, feeling heartbroken at her own words.

Ryan smiled and replied, "You'll look forward to it.  Cats are more independent than dogs so they're generally not as playful but Nala loves to be playful."

Matthew looked sadly at Anjela and replied, "Even if that happens, our love will never die, Anjela, because our spirits will live on forever.  So I don't want you to ever think I'm going to stop loving you."

He gently squeezed back Anjela's hand.

Lycoris smiled softly and replied, "I'm quite curious to meet her now."

She continued eating her oatmeal as well as sipping her juice, as did the others.

Anjela gazed back sadly at Matthew and quietly replied, "I'll never stop loving you either, even if they kill me a thousand times. My love for you could never die. I-I just need to make sure you understand that this path will only end in heartbreak."

Alex and Ryan continued to eat their breakfast and soon, they were done.

Matthew nodded and replied, "I know and I'm willing to take that risk.  All I want is to be with you, Anjela.  You're the only one for me."

Lady Penelope, the chancellor, Lisianthus and Lycoris were soon all done eating as well. Seeing how everyone was finished, Lady Penelope got up and said,

"Ahh I'll take care of the clean up."

She started gathering the empty dishes and such.

Anjela continued to gaze sadly but lovingly at Matthew as she softly replied,

"Please don't say I am the only one for you. I love you so much, so deeply but you deserve much better than this. And after all of this is done, you need to find someone else to start a real wonderful life with, a woman to be your true love."

Ryan turned to Lisianthus and said,

"Let's see if Nala's finished.  Then we can introduce her to Lycoris and Alex."

Matthew replied, "But you are my true love.  Even if I find someone else, she will never be you."

He vowed to only ever love Anjela, as he couldn't imagine his life with anyone else.

Lisianthus nodded happily and said, "Okay. I think she should be finished by now."

She got up and led the way happily to the kitchen to check on Nala. Meanwhile, the chancellor excused himself from the party to head to the library.

Although Anjela didn't agree on being Matthew's true love and wanted to beg him not to think that, to accept that they would be together for a short time, she was also quite touched by his words, his true feelings. 

Without saying anything, she hugged him furiously close, holding him tightly, overcome by her emotions and feelings. She whispered, "I love you, Matt. Now and forever, my heart is only for you."

Ryan got up and followed Lisianthus as they headed to the kitchen to check up on Nala.  Nala had just finished up her breakfast and was now cleaning up after herself.

Matthew returned the hug and replied with much emotion, "And I love you and my heart is only yours forever, Anjela."

Lisianthus found Nala and seeing how she finished eating, she picked her up in her arms and looking at her adoringly, she said,

"Hey, little one. You all done eating? I want to introduce you to someone."

Anjela continued hugging Matthew tightly and quietly said,

"I'm sorry I couldn't make you happier, Matt. I am sorry I can't give you a normal, happy life like you want."

Nala meowed happily, indicating that she was done.  Ryan smiled and said, "It sounds like you have your answer, beautiful."

Matthew smiled softly at Anjela and replied, "I don't want a normal life, Anjela.  With you, all I get is happiness and excitement and I couldn't ask for anything else."

Lisianthus nodded happily and said, "Yup, let's go."

She carried Nala in her arms and then went back to where Alex and Lycoris were. She approached the couple and taking a seat nearby, she gently put Nala on Lycoris' lap and said, "Here you go, Lycoris. This is Nala."

Lycoris looked quite curious and carefully approached Nala with her hand, letting her sniff it first and get to know her.

Anjela couldn't help but smile back at Matthew and replied,

"Heh, do you like everything about me? Isn't there anything you want changed, you wish you weren't there?"

Nala curiously sniffed Lycoris' hand and then she nuzzled her nose against it.  Alex smiled and said, "Awww she likes you, angel, but after all, you are only the best."

Matthew looked curiously at Anjela, and after a moment, he shook his head and replied, "Nope, you really are absolutely perfect to me, even if you think otherwise."

Lycoris smiled softly and gently petting Nala's head, she replied,

"She feels so soft and furry. Hi, Nala. I'm Lycoris. Nice to meet you."

Anjela blushed a bit and smiling slyly at Matthew, she said, "Heh, you really know how to say sweet things, eh? I find it difficult to believe that you don't have any experience with women, you know."

Nala meowed happily at Lycoris, greeting her.  Ryan commented, "Cats are furrier than dogs, as you can tell.  How do you like Nala, Lycoris?"

Matthew chuckled and replied, "Heh, well, maybe I needed the right woman to bring out this side of me.  Really, all other woman are boring compared to you."

Lycoris continued petting Nala's head happily as well as scratching her chin, and smiling softly, she said,

"She is very adorable and cute. And I can tell she is really friendly."

Lisianthus nodded happily and replied, "Yup, yup. Nala is quite friendly to everyone."

Anjela smirked a bit at Matthew's comment then gazing at him lovingly, she leaned in to give a loving, sweet kiss.

Nala purred happily as Lycoris continued to pet her.  Ryan commented, "If you'd like, I could get you a pet as well, Lycoris.  You've met both cats and dogs now.  Which do you like?"

Matthew happily returned the kiss, pouring all of his love and passion into it.  He wrapped his arms around her waist and deepened the kiss, making it last for as long as possible.

Lycoris smiled gratefully at Ryan for a moment but then her smile misted with sadness, she replied,

"I like them both and I appreciate that of you very much, Ryan, but I don't think this would be a good idea, at least for now. I still don't have complete control over my powers and who knows what I might end up hurting next."

She looked quite saddened that she stopped petting Nala for a moment.

Anjela continued kissing Matthew passionately for a few more moments, gently caressing his cheeks and basking in his warmth. After the kiss was eventually broken, she gazed at him warmly and blushing, she said, "I love you. I can't live without you anymore."
