Ryan replied,

Are you sure that's all?  I understand if you don't wish to tell me but you should talk to someone, if not be.


Matthew smiled and replied, "Sure.  Let's see."

He looked at the choices and then said, "How about an omelette?  You can choose what you want in it and you can even have a small fruit salad on the side and choice of drink, of course."

Lady Penelope was silent for a moment then sighing inwardly, she said,

It-it is just...I-I am worried about my daughter. I have a feeling she is up to something that could end up hurting her.

She thought that revealing this much wouldn't hurt, as things still remained ambiguous.

Anjela nodded and replied,

"Yup, sure. We can have omelettes with sausages? And maybe orange juice? How does that sound?"

Ryan replied,

Hmm, I see.  Well, I understand how worried you must be.  You're her mother, after all, and I know you only want to look out for her.


Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Sure, that sounds perfect.  Ok, I'll go ahead and order for us then."

He rang the bell and soon, a maid knocked on the door.  Matthew gave her their orders for breakfast and the maid jotted them down and then went to let the chefs know.

Lady Penelope replied quietly,

That's right. She-she is all I have left so all I want is to see her happy and well. I realize how difficult that is though.

Her facial expression was trying to remain strong and composed although that strength seemed to falter.

After Matthew told the maid of their orders and they were alone again, Anjela smiled softly at him and said,

"You probably never had omelettes with strawberries and chocolate before, right? It's a common breakfast in the gods' world but I never heard of it in the human world."

Ryan replied,

If there's anything I can do to help, please name it.


He felt bad for Lady Penelope although he did not dare show such emotion to Lisianthus.

Matthew looked curiously at Anjela and shaking his head, he replied, "Nope, I haven't.  Humans usually order some sort of meat, vegetable, and/or cheese to include in their omelettes.  But it sounds yummy."

Lady Penelope replied gratefully,

Thanks, sweetie. I know I can count on you when I need it. Thank you, darling.

She took a deep breath then continued making the oatmeal. Lisianthus continued making the juice meanwhile, and soon it was all ready.

Anjela nodded and smiling, she said, "It is. I'll make it for you sometime. Well, we're going to the gods' world very soon and I guess I'll be doing more cooking."

Ryan continued to make the oatmeal as well and soon, he was all done.  He commented,

"Ok, I made oatmeal with chocolate syrup as the topping.  I hope that's ok."

Matthew happily replied, "I can't wait to try out your cooking.  I mean, when we're not out in a forest searching for a powerful witch, that is."

He chuckled a bit to himself.

Lisianthus heard what Ryan said and grinning, she said, "Oh that sounds wonderful, cutie. I'm totally having that."

Lady Penelope had finished as well and said, "And I made oatmeals with honey so now there is a variety for everyone to choose from. We should probably make the table and call for the others."

Anjela chuckled a little as well and replied,

"Nah, no more of that. I'll have a better chance of showing you how well I cook."

She paused then looking at him, she quietly said, "Umm we'll be staying in a small apartement in Cephiron. It's nothing fancy and it's a bit on the small side. I hope that's ok. It's where mom and I used to live before we moved to her temple so it's a very old place. I wish I could have taken you to my home, but that's been burned down a long time ago."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok.  Beautiful, why don't you set up the table while we get the others?"

Matthew smiled and replied, "I look forward to seeing your home and I won't care if it's small.  Small means cozy and it's not like I haven't roughed it out before."

There was a knock at the door and once Matthew opened it, the maid entered, laying out breakfast for the couple on the table.  Once she was finished, she curtseyed and left.

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Sure, I'll get it done and I'll take care of Nala's food as well."

She went ahead to make the table and lay things out. Lady Penelope turned to Ryan and said, "I'll tell the chancellor and you can get Lycoris and Alex. Umm Matthew and my daughter aren't here. They spent the night outside although I am guessing they will return shortly."

She kept a straight face, knowing inwardly that Anjela wasn't returning.

Anjela looked at the spread of food before them and smiling softly, she said,

"That looks quite delicious, you know. Let's eat."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ahh I see.  Well, if Sia asks, we can just say that they went out for an early morning walk or something.  We can set aside some food for them for later."

Matthew grinned and replied, "Yup, and I'll be curious to hear your thoughts about the humans' version of omelettes."

He helped Anjela into a seat and then he took a seat.

(Random but even though I have this gaming laptop, I'm still playing these older games.  lol)

(lol As long as you're enjoying them, that's what matters although you might want to look into newer games. XD)

Lady Penelope nodded and replied, "Okay. I'll go get the chancellor then."

She headed upstairs to the chancellor's room to tell him breakfast was all ready.

Anjela reached for her fork and knife and took a bite of her omelettes. She tasted it thoroughly and smiling, she said,

"I like it. It tastes quite different but I like it."

(Well, I do have plenty of newer games and I have been meaning to play more 3D ones although I'd like to do when I have more free time and feel up to playing longer games.  XD)

Ryan headed upstairs to Alex and Lycoris' room.  He gently knocked on the door and said,

"Alex, Lycoris, are you awake?  Breakfast is ready."

Matthew grinned and replied, "I'm happy you like it."

He took his fork and after taking a bite of his omelette, he commented, "Yup, this sure is good and it tastes hot and fresh."

(Yup, I see. XD)

Lycoris and Alex were already awake and dressed up when Lycoris heard Ryan's voice on the other side of the door. She reached out to touch Alex's hand and said, "It's Ryan. Do we join them for breakfast? I-I'd like to but I am worried about my powers getting out of control."

Anjela nodded happily and replied,

"It does. This inn has very good chefs."

She continued eating her breakfast, getting her strength for the day.

(Heh, yeah, I continue to get editing, so I haven't really had a break yet.  XD)

Alex gently squeezed Lycoris' hand and nodding, he replied, "I think we should.  I'll be right beside you the entire time and as soon as we're done, we'll come back here.  I know you don't want to endanger the others and I understand.  It'll only be for a short while."

Matthew continued to eat as well, enjoying the omelette and fruit salad.  He would sip his orange juice and cast occasional, loving glances at Anjela.

(Well, hey, that's a good thing. XD It means that you'll be more busy but you'll get paid and be able to get more games when you have free time. XD)

Lycoris took a deep breath and nodding, she said, "Okay. I'll trust you on this."

She still felt a little scared but as long as she had Alex by her side, she felt she could through anything.

Anjela continued eating and she would notice Matthew's loving glances. She would blush shyly but smile back, feeling her heart swell each time he would gaze at her like so.

Eventually, she was all done, having enjoyed her meal.

(Heh, that's true.  I thought I'd get a break by now since I did finish editing the files for one path but the dev gave me other files for side stuff, so I guess she wants to try to get as much done as possible before releasing the next early access.  XD)

Alex smiled softly and he helped Lycoris to her feet.  Then he escorted her out of the room and opening the door, Ryan was waiting for them.  He smiled at the couple and said,

"Hey, you two.  We made a really delicious meal.  You'll love it."

Matthew soon finished his meal, too, and after finishing up the last of his orange juice, he smiled and said,

"That was so good.  I'm full."

(Yup, I guess. Hopefully you get some free time by finishing these files this time. XD)

Lycoris smiled softly at Ryan and replied,

"Hey, Ryan. Good morning. I can't wait to try breakfast. I know you cook really well. Everyone is there, right?"

Anjela smiled back and replied, "Yeah, it definitely was. I am quite full as well so it looks like we have our energy filled up for the day. Let me take care of cleaning that up."

She gathered the empty dishes and plates and after putting them on the tray, she picked it up and put it outside the room for a maid to pick up later, then closed the door and went back inside.

(Well, we'll see.  I keep getting new files even after I finish other ones.  lol  XD)

Ryan replied, "Everyone except for Matt and Lady Penelope's daughter.  They went out but they should be back later."

He led the way downstairs and Alex and Lycoris followed.

Matthew smiled as Anjela returned and he said, "I know I should head back to Ryan's place soon but I just want relax here with you for a while.  I hope that's ok."

(lol I see. XD)

Lycoris followed Alex and Ryan downstairs, where Lisianthus had finished preparing the table and food was all laid out. The chancellor and Lady Penelope soon came down as well, and Lady Penelope smiled softly at Alex and Lycoris. She said,

"Good morning, sweeties. How was your night?"

Anjela smiled softly and looking slyly at Matthew, she said, "You sure like my company, huh? I don't mind."

She held Matthew's hand and led the way to the couch where they could sit and relax for a bit.

Alex smiled at Lady Penelope and replied, "We slept well last night, my lady.  I hope you did, too, and breakfast looks and smells wonderful."

Matthew happily followed Anjela to the couch and once they both sat, he said,

"I feel so happy, Anjela, and it's all because of you."

Lady Penelope smiled back at Alex kindly but she didn't say anything. The party all took their seats and started eating. The chancellor was the first to comment as he said,

"This tastes quite delicious. The oatmeal is perfectly done."

Anjela smiled shyly to Matthew and looking at him fondly, she replied,

"Heh, really? Do I bring you that much joy just by being around you? I didn't think I could make anyone happy."

Ryan replied, "Lady Penelope and I both made it.  You can take whichever you prefer."

Alex turned to Lycoris and asked, "What would you like?  There's oatmeal topped with honey and one topped with chocolate."

Matthew blushed and replied, "But you do make me that happy.  You make me infinitely happy, Anjela.  I love you."

Lycoris replied, "Ahh I'll have the oatmeal with honey. I tasted that before and it was quite delicious."

Of course, Lisianthus helped herself to the oatmeal with chocolate, and Lady Penelope had some of the oatmeal with honey.

Anjela blushed as well and squeezing Matthew's hand gently, she gazed at him lovingly and said,

"I love you too. Heh, if someone had told me some time ago that I would fall in love with you so deeply, I would have called them crazy. I am not sure how you did it but you really captured my heart and now I love you so."

Ryan chose to have the oatmeal with honey, while Alex chose to have the one with chocolate.  Once everyone had chosen what they wanted, they began to eat, getting their fill for the day.

Matthew happily replied, "And you captured my heart, Anjela.  I love you forever and I will never stop loving you."

He leaned in to give her a sweet kiss.
