Romance RP

Ryan replied, "Because I see how much pain I've caused you and I can never bear to do that to you again.  I'll do everything I can to make up for what I did to you, Sia, everything."

He placed special emphasis on that last word, looking determinedly into her eyes.

Lisianthus looked back into Ryan's eyes, wondering if he truly meant every word he said. But turning her head away, she replied,

"Maybe, but this doesn't change how you think of me. It doesn't change that you couldn't trust me but you placed your faith in my enemies. So what if you regret it now? Maybe you're feeling sorry for me. Is that it? Because I don't need your sorry nor your pity. It won't change anything of how I feel."

Ryan shook his head and replied, "I'm not feeling sorry for you.  I wouldn't want to do everything I can, I wouldn't love you, if all I was feeling was sorry for you.  I place my trust in you, Sia, even if it'll take time for you to trust me again, if you can find it in your heart ever to trust me once more."

Lisianthus frowned and a little anger starting to show in her voice, she replied,

"You're saying all these sweet, wonderful words now but where were they when it mattered? How do you expect me to believe you again? If you place your trust in me as you claim, then why did you lie to me over and over? Why did you treat me like I don't exist, acted behind my back once and twice? What's the meaning of anything you say now, when your actions were completely different?"

Ryan sighed sadly and quietly replied, "I wish you would just place your faith in me.  I've explained it over and over to you but it's up to you on whether to believe me and I know that you need time.  I understand.  

Just please take the necessary precautions to protect yourself.  I'll always care about you, no matter what my past actions may have been."

Lisianthus felt only angrier as Ryan avoided answering her and suddenly pushing him away, she got up and angrily said,

"It's none of your business what I do. You've got nothing to do with me anymore, do you understand? Once everything is over and resolved, you'll go back to the humans' world and you'll never see me again. Keep that in mind."

Biting her lower lip, she turned around and left, not wanting to be anywhere near Ryan.

Ryan sighed sadly and figuring that it was best to leave Lisianthus alone, he headed to the stables to spend some time with Melody, hoping that her presence would cheer him up.

(I wish that Lisianthus wouldn't be so stubborn.  Gosh, even my bf and I made up.  :/)

(Ahh Lisianthus believes that Ryan betrayed her and that isn't so easy to overcome, I think, although she still loves him very much. XD But anyways, either she'll come around with time and insistence, or if either she or Ryan got in a very dangerous/life-threatening situation or something and had to save each other. XD That would make her realize how much she truly loves him or how much he truly loves her, if that makes sense. lol)

Melody was in the stables, resting peacefully after having had lunch a while earlier. As she saw Ryan come in to the stables, she whinnied happily, glad to see him.

(Ahh I see.  XD)

Ryan smiled softly as he saw Melody greet him happily and petting her head, he looked at her and said,

"How are you, girl?  Has your day been going ok?"

Melody whinnied happily, replying that her day has been going alright and that she was happy to see Ryan. She flapped her wings, as though she were asking him the same question.

Ryan smiled gently at Melody and replied, "I wish my day were going better, girl."

He then told Melody about Lisianthus and the discussion they just had, feeling that he needed to tell someone, to let out his emotions and his sadness about the situation.

Melody whinnied sadly as she heard about all of this from Ryan, as the situation between him and Lisianthus didn't seem to be getting any better. She wished she could say something to cheer Ryan on and tell him that Lisianthus loved him still, she told her that herself, but there was no way to communicate that to him. So she reached out her wing to him, gently comforting him.

Ryan petted Melody's wing and said,

"Thank you, girl.  I hope that we'll be able to work things out.  I wish Sia would just open up her heart to me again.  She should trust it, shouldn't she?"

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Melody whinnied in agreement, continuing to comfort Ryan gently as though she were quietly telling him not to give up or lose hope. 

All of a sudden, there was a slight glow over Melody's wings, and a soft voice coming from her, it said,

Can you hear me, Ryan? Don't be alarmed. It's me, Melody.


(Well, I know this is kind of weird but I hope it's ok. I want to help Ryan a little here and all. XD)

(Awww it's all right.  XD)

Ryan looked surprised as he heard a voice and looking at Melody, he replied,

Melody?  Is that really you?  Are you talking to me?

Melody whinnied happily and then she replied,

Yes, it's me. I know it's a surprise, isn't it? But this isn't an ability that I can show to anyone; not even Lisianthus knows of it. Only the late queen, her mother, knew and now you. What do you think?

Ryan happily replied,

It's really amazing.  I had no idea that you have such an ability.  Can all pegasi communicate like this?

Melody whinnied and shaking her head, she replied,

No, not all of them but only a very rare species do and I belong to it. It's what makes us special and what makes me deserve to be the royal pegasus. But as I said, we don't show it to anyone and only when we need to. You deserve to know, Ryan, and I feel like this is one of the times when I need to talk to you more freely.

Ryan nodded and replied,

I see.  So I take it that you talking to me like this means that you want to help Sia and me?

Melody replied,

That's true. It seems to me that none of you understand one another and so you can't come to fix things between you two.

Ryan replied,

Yes, that's right.  D-do you have any suggestions, Melody?  I mean, I've been trying but Sia keeps shutting me out.

Melody replied,

You two need to see each other's point of view. If Lisianthus can understand that you did why you did without ever having your trust in her wavered, and that you didn't mean to hurt her, she'll open her heart to you. And you too-you need to understand why she is having such a hard time opening her heart to you again so you can know how to ease her worries. You can't put someone at ease without understanding them, can you?

Ryan replied,

I-I know.  I've been trying.  I really have but Sia is so hurt that she can't see beyond why I did what I did.

Melody replied,

That's true but that doesn't mean that she loves you any less. She told me that herself over and over. Lisianthus doesn't speak to anyone as honestly as when she speaks to me. Just because she's continuing to push you away doesn't mean that she's having an easy time doing it. Lisianthus may be suffering through your breakup more than you even.

Ryan nodded and replied,

I understand.  So I should try to see things from her point of view and persuade her to see things from my point of view but how do I do that?
