Melody was momentarily silent then replied,

Well, first she needs to trust you more but simply telling her to do so won't work out so you need actions. Do you think there's anything you can do that would prove to her that you're loyal to her, never meant to hurt or betray her?

Ryan replied,

I don't know although I could certainly ask Duchess Irene for suggestions.  I-I want to do everything I can to make things up with Sia.  I just want her to give me a chance to do so.

Melody replied,

If you wait for a chance from her, Ryan, you won't get one. Lisianthus' mind is telling her to shut things out with you so that she can have an easier time letting go of you. Do you understand? Lisianthus will do everything she can to push you away, pretend that she doesn't love you anymore and try to forget you. It's her way of trying to ease the pain of the decision she made to break up with you. So don't wait for a chance from her; you need to act right away even if she continues to run away from you.


She paused then getting an idea, she continued,

Perhaps you don't understand me. You need to hear it from her. Listen, Lisianthus visits me and talks out to me around dinnertime everyday. Perhaps if you stay around her and become invisible or something, you can hear out how she truly feels and thinks about everything?

Ryan's eyes perked up at the idea and nodding, he replied,

Yes, I can do that.  You say that she comes to visit you around dinnertime?

Melody replied,

That's true. I think she hasn't been eating regularly recently so she prefers to come here around dinnertime when she's sure that everyone else is busy having dinner. If you can stay here then and remain unseen, you'll surely hear out everything from her. That will help, won't it?

Ryan nodded and replied,

Yes, yes, that's true.  I'll come around dinnertime and listen to your conversation with her then.  I can make an excuse to skip dinner and come back then.

Melody whinnied excitedly at the idea and replied,

Make sure to come by a little early, so you can catch her on time without provoking any suspicion. I feel sure that if you two come to understand each other more, you'll be able to fix things between you two. It saddens me to see you so apart.

Ryan replied,

Yes, yes, I'll do that.  I'll make sure to return before dinner and keep myself invisible so I can listen in.  I need to understand Sia's mind and heart better in order to fix things between us.

Melody whinnied softly at that and her wings glowed once more. She didn't say anything else but continued whinnying softly and petting Ryan's chest gently with her head, comforting him and giving him her support.

Ryan smiled softly and he gently petted her head, feeling happy that Melody had comforted him and advised him.  He said,

I'm happy you talked to me, Melody.  We should do so more often.

Melody whinnied happily at the comment and flapping her wings, she replied softly,

Whenever you need to talk, Ryan, I'm here. But no one must know about this, ok? What is secret remains so, and I trust that you won't tell anyone.

Ryan nodded and replied,

Of course.  I understand but I wonder.  Is there a reason that you don't talk to Sia?  Or you don't wish for others to know?

Melody replied,

If I talk to Sia and start conversing and responding to her, she will start to become less honest with me. I don't know if you understand, but the reason why Sia is always so honest with me and talks her heart out when we're alone is that because she thinks I can't comment or respond to her. So why should I deprive her of that freedom and comfort? I can support and care for her all the same without having to increase my communication.

Ryan replied,

Ahh yes, that makes sense.  I understand and don't worry.  I won't tell anyone else that you can talk.


He smiled and added,

You really are a very special pegasus, you know.

Melody whinnied happily and flapped her wings at that comment. She replied,

And you're a very special person too, Ryan. That's why I trust you and have complete faith that you're the only one who can help Sia and make her happy.

Ryan replied,

Thank you, Melody.  I'll do everything I can to fix things between Sia and me, and I appreciate how much you want to help us.

Melody whinnied happily, hoping inwardly that things would finally work out between the couple. She replied,

Good luck. I'll support you two all the way, with everything I can.

Ryan smiled softly and replied,

Thanks, girl.  I appreciate that you want to help us, girl.  I wish there was something I could do for you in return but maybe an apple or carrot as a small token of my appreciation?

Melody whinnied happily and flapped her wings playfully at the idea, totally welcoming it and answering that yes, she would appreciate it very much.

Ryan smiled softly and casting a spell, there appeared an apple in his right hand.  Handing it to Melody, he said,

Here you are, girl.  A small token of my thanks to you.

Melody whinnied happily once more and reaching out, she picked up the apple from Ryan's hand and munched it happily. After she finished eating it, she happily said,

Your apples are always the most delicious, you know.

Ryan blushed and replied,

Aww thanks, girl.  Just let me know whenever you'd like some apples.

Melody whinnied happily and flapped her wings in excitement at the offer. She continued enjoying being petted by Ryan and providing him with support as long as he needed to.

Ryan smiled softly and continued to gently pet Melody's head.  He commented,

I like getting to talk to you like this, Melody.  Do you mind if we do this more often or at least every once in a while?


(If I'm not on much for the rest of this week, it's because I have to finish the beta testing I mentioned.  The dev really wants me to finish it and the only way I can do so and do the other things I need to-my dad is coming back this week as well so yeah-is to cut back on things whenever I can so if I'm not here much, then that's why.)

Melody whinnied softly and replied,

Whenever you need, Ryan. I am happy to talk to you as well. It allows me more freedom to communicate what I want to you.
