Matthew nodded and replied, "I understand.  I noticed the shield was becoming unstable so I assumed that you were getting tired.  But don't worry.  I'll keep casting the rejuvenation spell on you until it's no longer necessary."

Alex grinned and replied, "I thought you might like it.  It's this restaurant's special dessert."

He took his spoon and he happily ate his pudding.

Anjela nodded and replied, "Yeah, that would be great, thanks. Heh, hopefully, I won't suffer too badly at the end of the day."

She chuckled a bit and continued taking her breaths until she felt she was stable again.

Lycoris nodded happily and continued to eat her pudding. She said, "I think I have a new favorite dessert. This is heavenly. Can we make this at home?"

Matthew smiled and getting a water bottle from his bag, he handed it to Anjela and said,

"Here, it's important to keep hydrated."

Alex looked thoughtful and nodding, he replied, "Yup, I think so.  Pudding is mainly made of milk, sugar, and whatever flavor you choose.  After you make it on the stove, you chill it until it's all nice, cool, and thick.  So yup, I certainly think it's possible."

Anjela took the bottle of water from Matthew and smiling softly, she said, "Thanks."

She sipped a little water, letting it soothe her. She said, "I think we are getting close to the cave. About half an hour more or so."

Lycoris smiled happily and replied, "That sounds great. I'd love to try making it at home with you. I am sure we can make it even more delicious."

She continued eating her pudding happily, enjoying every spoonful.

Matthew smiled and replied, "That's great.  When you're ready, we should move ahead and get to that cave."

Alex continued to eat his pudding as well, feeling happy that Lycoris seemed to be in better spirits.  He asked, "Angel, do you think this is even better than chocolate cake?"

Anjela nodded and after drinking a little more water, she gave the bottle back to Matthew and said, 

"Thanks. I'm all ready now. Let's keep going."

Lycoris looked thoughtful and smiling, she nodded and said, 

"Yes, I think so. I mean, they are both very delicious but this feels lighter, you know? You can eat more of it and not feel heavy."

Anjela nodded and after drinking a little more water, she gave the bottle back to Matthew and said, 

"Thanks. I'm all ready now. Let's keep going."

Lycoris looked thoughtful and smiling, she nodded and said, 

"Yes, I think so. I mean, they are both very delicious but this feels lighter, you know? You can eat more of it and not feel heavy."

Matthew took the bottle back from Anjela and after placing it in his bag, he nodded and replied, "Ok, let's go."

He then continued to walk with Anjela, heading towards the cave.

Alex chuckled and replied, "Yes, you're right about that, my Lycoris.  Pudding is especially wonderful to have when the weather gets warm.  We'll definitely make some at home sometime."

Anjela continued walking by Matthew's side as they went through the storm and towards the cave. Thankfully, the rest of the journey was uneventful, and the storm was slowly starting to die out although it was already getting dark.

Lycoris nodded happily and said, "I'd love that."

She continued eating her pudding, soon finishing up.

As Matthew walked with Anjela, he noticed how dark it got and he said,

"Well, it looks like time has passed faster than I expected although at least the storm has finally died out."

Alex finished up his pudding as well and seeing that Lycoris was done, he said, "I'll go take care of the bill, my angel, and then we can go on that ride."

He gave Lycoris a quick kiss and then went to the cashier to pay for the pudding.

Anjela furrowed her eyebrows and replied, "Yeah, but we are late. We'd usually be at the cave by this point. We better hurry. The next cave isn't a picnic if I remember correctly. The monsters take form of those we care about the most."

Lycoris waited patiently as Alex paid for the puddings although she was a bit nervous, hoping he would come back quickly as she didn't want to be left alone for long.

Matthew raised an eyebrow and replied, "Hmm, I see.  Yeah, we'd better hurry to the cave and face it."

He continued to move forward, not wanting to waste more time.

Alex quickly returned to Lycoris and smiling, he said,

"Ok, bill's all paid for so we can get going when you're ready."

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off for the night now but I'll post again tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Anjela continued moving forward with Matthew and the two soon made it at the cave. It was a large cave, higher than the previous caves. Before entering, she took a breath and said,

"You ready? It is another mind-twisting cave. Are you prepared?"

Lycoris smiled with relief as Alex returned and getting up, she said, "I'm ready so we can go."

She extended her hand to Alex so he can take it and they could get going.

Matthew looked at Anjela and nodding, he replied, "I suppose so.  So we have to face our most loved one in this cave?"

Alex gently held Lycoris' hand, helping her to her feet.  Then he escorted her outside the restaurant to where their horse was waiting.  He helped Lycoris get on and then he got on behind her.  Then he gently directed the horse to begin galloping, to take them on a tour of the countryside.

Anjela nodded to Matthew and replied, "Yes, that's right. The monsters take their form and you have to fight and take them down. They may be ones that are alive or gone. It won't be easy but as long as we stay focused, I am sure we can do it."

Lycoris laid her head on Alex's chest as they rode away from the restaurant and towards the countryside. She took a deep breath of the fresh air and smiling a bit, she said, 

"I'll always love this place. It's so peaceful and beautiful here."

Matthew nodded and replied, "I understand.  I suppose, for me, that will be my mom."

He wondered who Anjela would have to fight although he had a pretty good guess and didn't want to pry.

Alex nodded happily and replied, "It sure is and it feels even better riding in the countryside with my angel in my arms and a beautiful horse with us."

The horse whinnied happily upon hearing Alex's comment.

Anjela nodded and not commenting, she said, "Let's go.

She took a deep breath and led the way into the cave.

Lycoris couldn't help but giggle happily at Alex's comment and replied,

"She is very happy being flattered and I am too. I love you so much, my Alex."

Matthew followed Anjela inside the cave, mentally preparing himself to fight whoever would face him.

Alex chuckled and replied, "And I love you so much, my Lycoris."

He leaned in to give Lycoris a kiss on the cheek, as the couple continued to ride through the countryside.

Anjela and Matthew walked inside the cave, which had an eerie atmosphere inside and there were sounds of dripping water that could be heard. It was even colder inside the cave and Anjela instinctively wrapped her arms around herself, feeling her body shiver sickly although the rejuvenating spell was still in place.

Lycoris blushed but she smiled happily and returned the kiss with one of her own. She couldn't help but lovingly say,

"You're the best, Alex. Thank you so much for bearing everything for my sake."

Matthew looked around the cave as they walked and he commented, "This place sure is creepy, isn't it?  Let's get through here quickly."

Alex smiled at Lycoris and replied, "I'd do anything for you, my angel, because you are always worth it to me and I love you eternally."

Anjela nodded and replied, "Yeah. Let's hope it won't take us too long."

They continued walking for a little more until the path itself was branching into a couple of pathways. But before they had the chance to even make up their mind on which way to go, there was a sudden shake throughout the cave and before they knew it, a huge rubble of rocks fell from the ceiling between them, separating both of them so each one had his path and left to fend for himself.

Lycoris blushed even deeper and holding Alex's hands as he held the horse's reigns, she said, "And I'll always love you infinitely. You're my whole world, Alex. I couldn't be without you."

As soon as the earthquake stopped, Matthew called out,

"Anjela, are you ok?"

Alex blushed and replied, "And I couldn't be with you, my angel."

He leaned in to give Lycoris another kiss, feeling happy and eternally in love with her.

Anjela was unhurt although she was surprised as the rubble came down and she was separated from Matthew. As she heard him calling out to her, she replied back,

"I am okay. Are you alright? How-how did this even happen?"

She looked at the path before her but it seemed like she would have to go through alone without Matthew.

Lycoris returned Alex's kiss lovingly, pouring all her love and emotion into it. After the kiss was broken, she happily said, "I am always happy when I am with you, my Alex."

Matthew furrowed his eyebrows and replied, "This might have been done on purpose, to make us do our tests separately.  I don't like the idea of us having to be apart and hoping that we'll meet at the exit."

Alex hugged Lycoris and replied, "And I am always happy when I'm with you, my Lycoris."

He paused and then asked, "How are you enjoying the fresh air, my angel?  Is this fun?"

Anjela frowned as well and replied, "Me neither. Stand back. I'll try to blast my way through this rubble."

She summoned a couple of powerful fireballs and shot them at the rubble of rocks as strongly as she could, but the rubble didn't even seem to be shaken as though some magic force was protecting it.

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "Very. I love the feeling of the wind on my skin. Umm can we go faster? Is it possible?"

(Ahh I think it's time to bring Nathan and Helena back so they could execute their plans? Is that ok? XD)
