Romance RP

(Nite, nite, phoenix. ^^)

The shapeshifter nodded and replied, "Yes, this is Blacklily. It's the largest city on a cloud in the gods' world. So how does it feel? To see the moons and stars up close."

The chancellor nodded and replied, "Yes, that would be for the best. I truly hope whatever group behind this will be caught soon. This will bring nothing but chaos and mess to the gods' world."

Lady Penelope was silent although she wondered if Lisianthus was completely safe, as the person who wanted to kill her the most in the world was in the same house after all.

Matthew replied, "It's surreal.  It's like I can almost touch them from here.  It must be quite a luxury to live here."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, I do hope so.  Meanwhile, how about we go about and make some dinner?  The others should be back soon and it would be nice to have something hot ready for them."

The shapeshifter nodded and said, "Well, you're kind of right about that. Most of the residents here are nobles and wealthy people. The living standards here are are higher than anywhere else in the gods' world, but so is the price. Still, visitors are welcome anytime."

She paused then said, "I guess I should give you a tour although most of the shops and such will be closed by now. Maybe a quiet walk around town?"

Lady Penelope got up and smiling a little, she said, "You're right about that, darling. I'll help you with dinner. You must be tired after what happened."

Lisianthus definitely didn't want to be with the chancellor alone so she said, "Ahh I'll help too. We want to be done by the time Matthew and his friend come back."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Sure, that sounds great.  Please lead the way."

Ryan turned to Lisianthus and asked, "Are you sure?  You probably want to get some rest after everything that happened."

The shapeshifter nodded and started leading the way on their walk around the city. Although it was quiet, there were still some lights around and a few people going about. The city was as beautiful as always, with its splendid, pristine buildings and majestic atmosphere.

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Oh yes, I am sure. I am okay, really. Don't worry about me."

She gave Ryan a comforting smile but one that also told him that she didn't want to be alone, especially not with the chancellor.

Matthew looked around the city with wonder and fascination and he asked,

"How do cities on the ground compare to Blacklily?  Are the buildings just as beautiful?"

Ryan nodded and understanding, he replied, "Ok, and what about you, Nala?  Do you want to come with us or rest until we have dinner ready for you?"

Nala meowed curiously, unsure.

The shapeshifter looked thoughtful and replied, "I suppose the buildings in Cephiron are equally as beautiful, but then again, it's the capital so it's only natural. But otherwise, Blacklily is the most beautiful city in the gods' world, in my opinion."

She would curiously look at Matthew as they walked, observing the looks of wonder and fascination on his face.

Lisianthus said, "She can come with us. She can rest nearby in the kitchen while we prepare dinner. How does that sound, Nala?"

Lady Penelope looked curiously at the cat and asked, "What is this creature? I've never seen anything like it before."

(Ahh I think it's around time we should bring back Alex and Lycoris so they are on the same timeline as the others?)

(Sure, that's cool.  You can bring them back.  XD)

Matthew smiled and commented, "I think this is even more beautiful than the towns in the human world.  I mean, I've been to Lessire and that's a huge city but it pales in comparison to this."

Nala meowed happily at Lisianthus' idea.  Ryan smiled and turning to Lady Penelope, he said,

"This is a cat, my lady.  It's a pet in the human world and I thought that Sia would like to have one."

(Okay. XD)

The shapeshifter smiled a bit and said, "I am glad you are enjoying yourself. I wish I could have brought you during the morning. You'd have seen more of the city. But well, at least for now, you get to see the wonderful sight of the stars and moons up close."

Lady Penelope continued to observe Nala curiously and nodding, she said, "I see. She's adorable. I think I've heard about cats before but this is my first time seeing one."

Lisianthus petted Nala's head gently.

Back in Alex's house, Lycoris was still asleep in Alex's arms although as what had become usual by then, her sleep was starting to become restless. She moaned and growled in her slumber, and a faint purple light emitted from her body.

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, that's true and we can come back when it's daytime.  I don't mind being here at this time.  It was quite beautiful and peaceful."

Nala meowed happily and looked on happily at Lady Penelope.  Ryan smiled and said, "I guess cats are unique to the human world."

Alex woke up and saw the faint purple glow surrounding Lycoris' body.  He gently hugged her and rubbed her back, as though silently trying to calm her down.

The shapeshifter nodded and thinking of something, she said, "Come. There is somewhere I think you'd like to see."

She led the way through the streets until they made it to a tall building that looked like a lighthouse or a watchtower.

Lady Penelope nodded happily and said, "That's true. It's interesting to see such an adorable, small creature." She reached out to pet Nala's head for a little bit, then asked, "What kind of food does she eat? What do we make her?"

Lycoris continued to moan in pain but thankfully, her magic didn't seem to get too unstable, and it only stopped at the faint purple glow around her body. She murmured,

"Please stop. I-I don't want to hurt anyone. Stop, please."

(Back from work.  ^^)

Matthew curiously followed the shapeshifter until they reached the building.  Looking at it, he asked, "Is this the highest view from where we can see the city?"

Ryan replied, "Cats like fish and they can eat meat like beef, too.  And, of course, water."

Nala meowed happily, agreeing with Ryan's comment.

Alex hugged Lycoris and gently said, "Hey, Lycoris, it's going to be ok.  I'm here, I love you, and I'm never going to leave you.  I promise."

(Welcome back. ^^ I still have some work to take care of today but I will post when I can. ^^)

The shapeshifter nodded and said, "That's right. It's on the outskirts of the city so you can see the whole city from above but better yet, it almost feels like you're between the clouds. Hold my hand and I will teleport us to the top."

Lady Penelope smiled and said, "That's simple. We can make that for her. We'll, in that case, would you like grilled fish and maybe shrimps for dinner? Seafood. And Nala can have some of the fish."

Lycoris continued to moan in pain for a little more but then her eyes slowly opened and she woke up. The purple glow faded away as she did and although she remembered nothing of her dream, she felt pretty down.

Feeling Alex's arms around her, she slowly whispered, "Alex...? Are you awake?"

(No problem.  I'll be gaming, so I'll post when I can as well.  ^^)

Matthew smiled and touched the shapeshifter's hand, waiting for her to teleport them to the top of the building.

Nala meowed happily and chuckling, Ryan said, "It sounds like Nala likes the idea and me, too.  We can have a seafood feast."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, I'm awake, Lycoris.  Are you all right?"

(Sorry I wasn't able to post at all. It was pretty busy and I had lots of chores to take care of and all. >.< I'll try to post more tomorrow. ^^)

The shapeshifter held Matthew's hand and then teleported them to the top of the building. It was indeed an old watchtower and it had the perfect view: on a side, one could see the whole city, beautiful with its sparkling lights and surrounded by the stars. On another side, one could clearly see the night sky, with the moons ever so close and the clouds floating by.

The shapeshifter turned to Matthew and smiling a bit, she asked, "What do you think?"

Lady Penelope nodded happily and replied, "Wonderful. I'll start the preparations. We should have a lot of food ready for Matthew and Anjela too."

She led the way to the kitchen to start getting out the ingredients.

Lycoris was silent for a moment then she quietly said, "I-I think I had a bad dream but I don't remember. Did my magic get out of control again? I-I didn't hurt you, did I?"

(It's ok, no worries.  ^^)

Matthew smiled and replied, "It's wonderful.  It feel like I could touch the moons and stars from here."

He gazed up at the sky in wonder and fascination.

Ryan turned to Lisianthus and happily asked, "Shall we, beautiful?"

Alex replied, "I'm ok.  You didn't hurt me at all.  You glowed purple again and it did sound like you had a nightmare, but that was it."

(Thanks for understanding. ^^)

The shapeshifter smiled a little and watched Matthew as he gazed at the sky. She took a seat at a bench nearby and watching the view as well, she said, 

"This is my favorite spot and hardly anyone comes here too. So we both know our secret spots now."

Lisianthus nodded happily at Ryan and said, "Let's go."

She carried Nala in her arms and followed Ryan to the kitchen so they could help Lady Penelope. Although the earlier events were still on her mind, she wanted to forget about them for now and just try to relax.

Lycoris nodded and relief in her voice, she replied, "I-I guess it could have gone worse. My magic is still unstable. Having you by my side helps a lot though. I don't know how it could have gone otherwise."

Matthew turned to the shapeshifter and taking a seat next to her, he smiled and replied, "Yup, we sure do."

He gazed warmly at her and then turned his attention back to the sky.

Ryan escorted Lisianthus as they entered the kitchen and once there, he waited for Lisianthus to place Nala somewhere nearby so they could begin to cook.

Alex hugged Lycoris and replied, "I'm staying with you always, my Lycoris.  You never have to worry or be afraid."

The shapeshifter gazed at the sky as well, enjoying the peace and quiet. They were isolated from everyone else and she liked to be on her own, and Matthew's company was surprisingly welcome. 

As she continued gazing at the sky, she asked, "So you like it now more than being back with the others?"

Lisianthus placed Nala on a chair nearby then started helping Ryan and Lady Penelope make the preparations for dinner, getting out the ingredients and such.

Lycoris returned Alex's hug and smiling a little apologetically, she replied, 

"I know I could never be safer anywhere but with you. It seems like I've been disturbing your sleep recently. I am sorry."

Matthew looked at the shapeshifter and nodding, he replied, "I do.  It's really nice here, being in this place with you."

He smiled at the shapeshifter.

As Ryan, Lisianthus, and Lady Penelope were making dinner, he said,

"Hmm, should I contact Matthew or your daughter to find out when they're getting back?"

He looked to Lady Penelope.

Alex shook his head and replied, "You never have to apologize to me, Lycoris.  You know, I can only sleep when I'm with you."

The shapeshifter smiled a bit and replied, "I am sure it would be nice here even if you were alone, you know, but thank you. Surprisingly, I like your company as well. We have quite a bit in common."

She gazed back at the sky, taking in its beauty and the serenity of the atmosphere.

Lady Penelope turned to Ryan and smiling, she nodded and said, "That would be greatly appreciated, darling. They are a little late, I think. I would think they would be back by now."

Lycoris smiled softly and kissing Alex on the cheek, she said, "And I can only sleep in your arms, my Alex."

She blushed a little then said, "What time is it? Have we been sleeping for long?"

Matthew smiled and replied, "Who knew?  I'm glad we got to meet, even though it was under unusual circumstances."

Ryan returned Lady Penelope's smile and nodding, he replied, "Ok, I'll contact them now."

He decided to contact the shapeshifter and asked,

Hey, it's Ryan.  Umm, we were all wondering when you and Matthew are getting back.

Alex took a look outside the window and saw how dark it was.  He nodded and replied, "Yup, we slept for quite a while.  It's evening now, but I think we really needed the rest."

The shapeshifter was about to reply to Matthew when she received Ryan's telepathic message. She said,

"Hold on. Ryan is talking to me."

She closed her eyes and replied,

Hey. Don't wait for us. We'll be a little late. We might grab something to eat but yeah, just don't wait for us.

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yeah. I feel physically better now. Umm do you think it would be better to spend the night here and move in the morning? I don't mind either way but I am just considering what would be more convenient for you."

Ryan replied,

Well, if you two are going to return late, we won't wait up but we'll leave you some food in the icebox that can be heated, in case you want to eat when you get back.  But I'll let your mother and the others know.

Alex thought about it and replied, "I think it'd be better for us to move in the morning.  I should make us something to eat and then we should rest for the night.  I'll keep you safe and protected.  I promise, my Lycoris."

The shapeshifter replied,

Alright. Yeah, let my mom know so she doesn't overworry. 


*************

Lycoris hugged Alex close and replied, "I know, Alex. I feel the safest when I am with you. I don't want to be with anyone else. I am so sorry for all the trouble I cause you."
