Lady Penelope smiled to the couple and nodding, she said, 

"We'll be waiting for any updates from you. Please take care and let us know if there is anything we can do to help."

Nerine looked a bit thoughtful then replied, "Maybe some juice? I don't feel like eating yet but maybe juice will help."

Ryan smiled and replied, "Of course.  We'll keep you updated."

He turned to Lisianthus and said,

"We should let Alex and Lycoris know we're going and then we'll head back."

Helena nodded and replied, "Ok, let me go ring for a maid."

She rang the bell specifically to call for a maid and waited for one to arrive so she could tell her that Nerine wanted juice but to make sure that it was one which the healer specified would be ok for Nerine to drink.

Lisianthus nodded and led the way out of the kitchen and to the living room where Alex and Lycoris were. She said,

"We're about to go now. Do you want anything before we do? We'll let you know if anything new comes up."

A little later, there was a knock on the door and a maid came in. She bowed to the ladies and said,

"How can I help you, miss?"

Alex shook his head and replied, "No, I think we'll be fine."

He turned to Lycoris and asked, "Is there anything you need, Lycoris?"

Helena smiled to the maid and replied, "Nerine would like some juice."

She told the maid the kind of juice Nerine should have, one that wouldn't upset her stomach.

Lycoris shook her head and replied, "No, I am fine. Thank you. Just please let us know any updates and as I said before, if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know."

The maid nodded and replied,

"Right away, miss."

She then left the room to bring the juice the ladies asked for.

Ryan nodded and replied, "We will.  Please stay safe, you two."

Alex replied, "We will."

As the maid went to get the juice, Helena returned to her seat by Nerine's side and just smiled at her.

(I'll be going to sleep soon so this will be my last post for tonight but I'll post more tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lisianthus said, "See you later, you two."

She then led the way out of Ryan's house and to outside so she would summon the portal and take them back to the gods' world.

Nerine smiled back at Helena and a little later, there was another knock on the door. It was the same maid carrying a tray that had Nerine's juice and water. She put it on a nearby table then took her leave.

Ryan followed Lisianthus outside as she summoned the portal to return to the gods' world.  He then waited for her to take the lead and enter so he would follow her.

After the maid left, Helena asked, "So which would you like first, water or juice?"

Lisianthus took a deep breath and once more, she cast her magic so she would summon the portal to the gods' world. She was able to do successfully although afterwards, her feet swayed as she felt light-headed all of a sudden and was about to lose her balance.

Meanwhile, Lycoris started having the same headache all over again and held her head in pain. Her other self was struggling once more for control, to get free before it was too late or reach for Matthew. She needed his help before he would lose her forever.

Nerine replied, "I'd like the juice, please. I think it will help a lot."

Ryan immediately noticed the way Lisianthus moved and rushing to her side, he held her and asked,

"Beautiful, are you ok?  Please, take it easy."

Alex saw Lycoris in pain and holding her, he said,

"Lycoris, hang on.  Don't let her win, ok?"

Just then, Matthew entered the living room and seeing Alex and Lycoris, he asked, "Umm what's going on here?"

Helena smiled and handing Nerine a glass of juice, she said,

"Here you are.  Just take your time and sip it slowly."

Lisianthus held on to Ryan to steady herself and took deep breathes, trying to regain her strength. She slowly whispered,

"I-I should have been more careful with this. I think I might have just burned out myself for a while. I  don't think I'll be able to summon the portal again for some time."

The moment that Matthew spoke up, Lycoris' pain seemed to double, as her other self gave it everything she had to break free. In the middle of Lycoris' cries, her other self seemed to take control for just a moment and desperately cried,

"Matthew, help me! Help me!"

Nerine took the glass of juice from Helena and smiling softly, she said,

"Thank you, Helena. I know I must have been troublesome to you but you're a wonderful friend."

Ryan replied, "It's going to be ok.  Let's go back to the castle and then you must rest.  And don't summon the portal for a while.  The others will be ok."

Matthew's eyes widened in alarm, as he realized which Lycoris was speaking out to him.  He ran to Lycoris, crouched before her, and holding her hands, he said,

"Hey, I'm here.  Calm down, please.  Just calm down."

Helena smiled and replied, "You haven't been troublesome at all.  I was so worried about you and it's only natural as your friend, right?  I'm just glad you're feeling better."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Okay. Hopefully we won't need to go back here again soon."

She continued taking her breathes until she felt she was a little more steady, then said, "Let's go. We still have a lot to take care of."

Lycoris continued to be in pain, as the real Lycoris was resisting with all her might while her other self was doing everything she could to reach out to Matthew for just a moment more, to tell him what Alex and Lycoris planned to do. As she continued to cry, she murmured slowly with difficulty,

"The captain...hand us over. Help. I'll die."

Nerine nodded happily and replied,

"I am thanks to the news you delivered to me. I don't want anything but to be back to Alex. If this will happen soon, I couldn't feel better."

She sipped a little of her juice.

Ryan nodded and gently holding onto Lisianthus' arm, he escorted her through the portal and back to the gods' world.

Matthew looked even more alarmed as the other Lycoris told him of the actual Lycoris and Alex's plan.  He replied,

"What?  No, no, you mustn't.  I won't let that happen.  I'll keep you safe and protected here."

Helena smiled and replied, "And I'm happy for the two of you.  You really deserve to have a life of peace and happiness."

(I forgot to say it but I'm not sure how often I'll be able to post today.  I'm here but I'm too sleepy.  I haven't caught up on my sleep and then I went to bed crying last night because of something stupid so yeah.  :/)

(Aww I am sorry to hear that, phoenix. I know how that feels. :/ I hope you feel better soon and don't worry about posting. Just make sure to get lots of rest, ok? )

Lisianthus followed Ryan through the portal to the gods' world and they were teleported back to the castle's gardens. She took a deep breath then furrowing her eyebrows, she said, 

"We need to meet with the current captain. He'll update us with the situation and if anything new came up."

Lycoris continued crying as the two fought for control although the real Lycoris was doing her best to dominate. She took back control and quickly said,

"I-I am fine, Matthew. Please don't mind her. She-she is trying to force herself upon me again."

(I think we can leave Nerine and Helena aside for now unless something important comes up?)

(Thanks.  I'll most likely go to bed early tonight although for now, I'll keep on editing.  I need something to keep me busy but I don't want to play the game that I'm currently playing.  But if I change to something else, that's going to upset a certain someone, so editing's one option I'll go with for now.)

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok, but after we meet up with him, you need to rest, beautiful.  You'll need your strength."

Matthew replied, "Please I need to know what's going on.  I don't understand."

Alex replied, "It'll be ok.  That fake is just trying to take control again, but our Lycoris can defeat her."

(And yup, I agree.  It's fine to leave Nerine and Helena for now.  ^^)

(I see. I just hope you feel better soon and don't let anyone stress you out. ^^)

Lisianthus smiled a little to Ryan as she tried to hide her tiredness and replied, 

"I'll try, cutie, but we need to finish the work we have to do first. We still have lots of things to take care of."

She led the way back into the castle and to her office so she could call for the soldiers' captain.


Lycoris seemed to calm down for a moment but then she quickly shook her head defiantly, and as the other Lycoris took back control for a moment, she pleadingly cried,

"It's not ok. Matthew, help me. She is going to kill us. She's going to kill me."

(I'll try.  :/)

Ryan walked beside Lisianthus as the two of them headed inside the castle and then to Lisianthus' office.  They then waited for the soldiers' captain to arrive so they could receive the latest update.

Matthew grabbed Lycoris by the shoulders and replied, "What?  What are you talking about?"

He looked at Alex questioningly although Alex didn't say anything.

Lisianthus led the way to her office and after she and Ryan had taken their seats, she called for the soldiers' captain to be brought. He arrived shortly and after bowing to both of them, he said,

"The soldiers have returned, Your Majesty. They've studied the location quite well."

He showed the couple all the information he had gotten.

Lycoris held her head between her hands in pain, internally struggling as her selves fought for control. She slowly whispered,

"Stop...them...They'll hand us over. The captain. I-I'll die. I don't want to die."

(This will probably be my last post for tonight since I should go to bed pretty soon and catch up on sleep.  I'm finishing up going through another editing pass before, though.)

Ryan listened carefully as the soldiers' captain explained all he had learned and then he asked,

"Are they any weakpoints, any places we could take advantage of?"


Matthew looked at Alex and asked, "Is this true, Alex?  Were you and Lycoris really plan to turn her over?"

But before Alex could reply, Matthew turned back to the Lycoris in control and he replied, "I'm not going to let that happen.  I'll protect you."

(I understand and I hope you feel better tomorrow, phoenix. )

The captain turned to Ryan and furrowing his eyebrows, he replied,

"Not exactly, sir. We know an opening that we could go through and our presence will be discovered rather delayed, but it will be discovered all the same. The previous captain has some of the most powerful protections and securities in place. It's like a fortress. Even the castle here doesn't have this level of security."


Lycoris continued to hold her head between her hands in pain and the real Lycoris took back control once more. She quickly said,

"She-she is lying, Matthew. Of course we weren't planning to do such a thing. She-she is only saying things to justify trying to take control forcefully."

(Thanks.  I'm feeling better today.  If I get one more night of good sleep, then I should be good to go.  ^^)

Ryan furrowed his eyebrows and replied, "We've got to find a way to disable their detection system."

He then added, "I wonder how the captain has such an advanced system in place."

Matthew just ended up being confused while both Lycoris were trying to regain control.  Alex turned to Matthew and said,

"Listen, Matt, you should leave the room for a bit.  It'll be easier for Lycoris to regain control."

(I am happy to hear that. ^^ )

The captain turned to Ryan and said, "The previous captain was quite the powerful sorcerer. It seems like he was able to found some powerful protections for especially for his mansion."

Lisianthus looked at the captain and asked, "So you weren't able to find a way for the stealthy soldiers to sneak into the mansion?"

The captain turned to Lisianthus and replied, "That we did, Your Majesty. With the sir's wide-range nullifying spell, we'll be able to create a pathway into the mansion. Unless the previous captain has other surprises inside, our soldiers will be able to find the hostage and get her out while we distract the previous captain and his soldiers."

Although Lycoris was still at her internal struggle, it seemed like the other Lycoris was able to regain control for a moment although she couldn't say anything this time, but reached out to clutch tightly onto Matthew, silently begging him not to leave her.

(I had work earlier so I'm back now.  I'll post more once I'm free.  ^^)

Ryan nodded and replied, "That's wonderful news.  We'll be able to get Nerine out of there and back here."

Matthew felt Lycoris hold onto his hand and ignoring Alex, he said,

"I'm not leaving you.  I'm right here and I won't let anything happen to you."

(Welcome back. ^^)

The soldiers' captain smiled a bit to Ryan and replied, "Yes, sir."

Lisianthus furrowed her eyebrows and said, "Have you started aligning your soldiers yet, captain? I want the finest and strongest soldiers on our side."

The captain nodded and replied, "Yes, Your Majesty. They'll be ready by sunset so we can move."

Lycoris clutched harder onto Matthew but the real Lycoris was able to regain control and taking her breathes, she slowly said,

"I-I am fine, Matthew. Please leave. You-you're strengthening her over me."
