Lisianthus looked curiously at Ryan and said,

"Do you have any other ideas, cutie? I can't think of anything at the moment but questioning Alex's friends."

Lycoris replied happily, "And that's what's wonderful about you. Others might use this ability as a way of gaining money and fame, right? But you genuinely care about the people and do everything you can to help them."

Ryan looked stumped and replied, "I guess we can bring Bryan along and see if he has better luck but if not, then we observe our surroundings without others knowing and see if there is any unusual activity or movement."

Matthew blushed and replied, "Now you're flattering me, Lycoris.  But yes, I really do want to help the people here as much as possible and if my abilities can aid me in doing so, then I'll use them."

Lisianthus looked thoughtful and replied,

"I guess we can bring Bryan along but I don't know about the other option. I mean, if Alex and Nerine were kept anywhere here, wouldn't the shapeshifter be quite careful not to let anything seem suspicious?"

Lycoris happily replied, "And that is what makes you a wonderful person."

A little later, a little bird flew into the garden and near the door, after making sure that no one else was nearby, it changed form and the shapeshifter made an appearance. She then knocked the door to enter, not seeing the invisible party.

Ryan furrowed his eyebrows and sighing, he replied, "You're right, beautiful.  I'm sorry I can't think of a better idea at the moment."

Matthew noticed the shapeshifter and looking to the others, he said,

"It looks like your daughter is back, my lady.  I guess we should go inside."

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lisianthus quickly smiled softly and said, "No, don't apologize, cutie. The situation is pretty complicated on its own."

She paused then taking a breath, she said, "Let's continue. We might be lucky at one point. If we don't reach anything by the end of the day, I suppose we can ask for Bryan's help tomorrow."

Lady Penelope saw her daughter as well and nodding, she said, "Yes, let's go back inside and it is not safe to stay out much longer."

The chancellor nodded in agreement and then the party moved back inside the house.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok, that sounds like a good plan, beautiful.  Let's continue."

The two of them continued to go to various nobles' houses, asking about Alex's whereabouts.

After everyone was back inside the house and the invisibility spell was deactivated, Matthew said,

"Let's go relax in the living room."

The couple continued moving from house to house, introducing themselves and asking about Alex although no one was able to help them out so far.

(You can decide if they reach Matthew's house and when and all. XD)

The party nodded in agreement and followed Matthew to the living room. The shapeshifter had seen them and following them to there, she raised an eyebrow and asked,

"You all were outside?"

(Ahh ok.  XD)

After they had questioned another noble, Ryan sighed and said, "We should keep going, beautiful, although this is discouraging."

He saw another noble house, which was Matthew's, and pointing to it, he asked,

"Should we try this place?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "Oh yes.  Lycoris was curious to check out the garden but it's fine.  The chancellor had his invisibility spell on the entire time we were outside."

(I'm either gaming or chatting with Folke.  Just wanted to let you know in case the posts suddenly slow down.  ^^)

(Ahh I understand. XD)

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "I guess we've got nothing to lose. We shouldn't give up yet."

She approached the house and knocked on it, waiting for any response.

The shapeshifter nodded and after she took a seat, she said,

"That explains why I didn't see you. Anyways, I got you all the ingredients you need. It wasn't too difficult to find them."

Matthew took the ingredients from the shapeshifter and replied, "Thanks.  I'll make the elixir today and hopefully, it'll help Lycoris."

He smiled softly at her.

Just then, there was a knock at the door.  Thinking that it was unusual, Matthew said,

"I wonder who'd be here at this time?"

However, he gave the others a look that said that they should be careful.  Meanwhile, Olivia heard the knock and went ahead to open the door.

The chancellor, the shapeshifter and Lady Penelope nodded and they all became on guard. Lycoris looked worried as well and remained silent, hoping it would be nothing to worry about.

Meanwhile, after Olivia had opened the door, Lisianthus smiled to her and said,

"Hello, ma'am. I wonder if the master or the mistress of the house are present? We need to see them urgently."

Olivia nodded and replied, "Oh yes, the master is in.  I'll go get him but may I ask who's calling for him?"

Lisianthus nodded and replied,

"Yes, of course. Please tell him it's Queen Lisianthus, of the gods' world."

Olivia nodded and replied, "Thank you, your majesty.  Please wait here while I get the master."

She then went to the living room, where Matthew and the others.  Olivia then approached Matthew and quietly said,

"There's a Queen Lisianthus of the gods world outside the door, sir."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Thank you, Olivia.  Please go take care of lunch."

Olivia nodded and went into the kitchen.  Matthew turned to the others and said, "I'll talk to her but if anything goes wrong, I'll cough loudly, ok?"

Lycoris looked worried but as she had to trust Matthew on this, she quietly said,

"We'll be on our guard but please take care, ok? I trust you can take care of this."


Lady Penelope, the chancellor and the shapeshifter all looked attentive as well, waiting for the outcome of this.

Matthew nodded and replied, "Don't worry, Lycoris.  I'll go talk to her and take care of the matter.  You stay with the others."

He gently touched Lycoris' hands for a moment and then got up and left the living room, approaching the front door.  Outside, he saw Lisianthus and Ryan and politely said,

"Hello, your majesty.  I was told that you wanted to see me?"

Lisianthus smiled to Matthew and replied,

"Yes, sir. I apologize for disturbing you but I'm afraid the matter is quite urgent. You know Alex Carnahan, correct? I understand that you are one of his friends?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, I am.  We grew up together.  Is there something wrong with Alex?"

He looked worried even though he actually knew that Alex was all right.

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Yes, I am afraid that something is wrong with him. Alex is missing and we fear that he may be in danger. You haven't heard anything of him in a while? He hasn't tried to contact you at all recently?"

Matthew shook his head and replied, "I'm afraid not, your majesty.  I thought he and his wife were on vacation?  I did notice that they haven't been at home for some time so that was my logical conclusion."

Lisianthus sighed sadly and replied,

"Not really. They have been involved in some mess and now they are in danger and missing."

She paused then asked, "Well, you haven't noticed anything unusual around recently, sir? I am not sure how exactly but, anything that seemed out of place?"

Matthew shook his head and replied, "No, I'm afraid not, your majesty.  Everything around here has been quiet although that usually is the case."

He looked over at Ryan and asked, "You're not related to Sir Bryan O'Connell, are you?"

Ryan replied, "I am.  I'm his twin brother-well, recently discovered twin."

Matthew nodded in understanding.

Lisianthus quickly added,

"You know Bryan as well, right? He is with us too. We're all staying at the castle at the moment since the king and queen of Devenshire are kindly helping us with the search. You see, Alex and Nerine, his wife, are our friends so we worry deeply about them. Please, if you know anything about them, please let us know."

Matthew was surprised to hear that Bryan was back but nodding, he replied, "Of course, your majesty.  I'll send word to you if I hear of anything.  I hope you'll find Alex soon."

Lisianthus nodded and replied,

"Thank you for your time, sir. Please allow us to take our leave."

She bowed respectfully to him and then led the way away from his house, disappointed that they made no progress at all.
