Romance RP

Irene returned Ryan's smile softly and replied, "I slept fine too. It was an uneventful night, at least."

She took her seat and as all of them were present and seated, Lisianthus took a deep breath and said, "Before I say anything, I am guessing none of us came up with any theories regarding the situation, right?"

Irene shook her head and said, "I thought about the matter over and over but something is off about all of this that I can't find any helpful clues."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "I haven't tried coffee with any additions yet so maybe we can try that out sometime? I am pretty sure it will taste delicious, won't it?"

Ryan shook his head and added, "I'm with Duchess Irene on this.  Something does feel off about all of this but I can't figure out what.  Do you have an idea, beautiful?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, it does.  If you want, you can try it now.  Olivia was quite thoughtful to have cream and sugar if we want it."

Lisianthus bit her lower lip and replied, "No, not really. I kept thinking about this but to no avail."

She paused then frowning, she said, "Whatever happened, Alex and Nerine are surely with the shapeshifter at the moment and we can't just let them be. That's why I've been thinking; I'll take a week off work and I'll lead the search process myself. If we have to search every single house in Devenshire, I'll do it."

Lycoris' eyes lit up as she heard this and nodding happily, she said,

"Then yes, I'd love to try it now. I want to know how different the coffee will taste with such additions. Would you please add some cream and sugar to my cup, Matt?"

(I'm here.  I might be really slow in posting but yeah, I'll post as much as I can until I go to sleep.  ^^)

Ryan nodded and replied, "That's a good idea, beautiful, and of course, I'll accompany you on the search.  So will Duchess Irene be in charge of things here?"

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Of course."

He added a teaspoon of cream and sugar and stirred them in.  Then he handed the cup to Lycoris and said,

"Here you are, Lycoris.  Let me know how you like it."

(Ahh take your time. ^^)

Lisianthus nodded and turning to Irene, she said, "Yes. Irene will take care of things here. I know she'll be able to be in charge of all the important matters until we return."

Irene didn't seem to like the idea very much, however, and replied, "I don't mind taking care of the work here but I can't say I support this idea. Wouldn't this be putting you in unnecessary danger, Lisianthus? I am sure the soldiers will do everything they can to find everyone."

Lycoris smiled softly and replied, "Thanks, Matt."

She reached out to taste a bit of her cup and after taking her time to savor the taste, she happily said,

"Yum, this is really delicious too. The taste became different; sweeter in a way but quite delicious all the same."

Ryan replied, "Duchess Irene does have a point but I'll stay with Sia and protect her."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Definitely.  I know some people prefer to have cream and sugar in their coffee.  Do you like having them more than just coffee by itself?"

Irene turned to Ryan and replied, "I trust that you will but I don't understand the necessity of this."

Lisianthus replied firmly, "It will make a difference, Irene. When I am there, I can question Alex's friends for one, maybe obtain any information that can lead us to his place. Maybe he contacted any of them recently. Things will be more flexible if I and Ryan go. Plus, I don't want to just sit here and pray the soldiers are lucky to find them. I am through with waiting helplessly like this."

Lycoris looked thoughtful then said, "The cream and sugar sure have a wonderful taste with coffee but I think I still prefer the coffee on its own. It has such a unique taste and all."

Ryan replied, "Sia's right and if I'm with her, I can help her question Alex's friends and I'm familiar with Devenshire, too.  It is a good plan."

Matthew nodded and replied, "I'm the same as well.  I prefer having my coffee black.  It has a stronger effect and keeps me more alert."

Irene had to admit that the reasoning made sense although she was still worried about Lisianthus, as this could turn out potentially dangerous. Nodding, she replied,

"Well, if you insist, I guess there's nothing I can do about it. Just be extremely careful."

Lycoris smiled softly and nodding happily, she said, "We agree then."

She paused then said, "Now let's eat our breakfast before it gets cold."

The two of them started eating their breakfast happily, enjoying its taste.

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "Don't worry, Duchess Irene.  I'll look after Sia and make sure that no harm comes to her."

Matthew nodded happily and he began to eat his breakfast as well, enjoying the taste and its warmth.

Irene sighed inwardly but she smiled a little to Ryan and replied, "Of course. I trust you, Ryan."

Lisianthus rolled her eyes at that and pouting, she said, "Yeah, right. Now like I can't protect myself or something."

Getting up, she said, "Well then, I don't want to waste any time. Ryan, we should get ready and prepare ourselves for the journey."

Lycoris continued eating her breakfast, getting her fill for the day and adding to her energy while drinking her coffee. She was eventually all finished so she waited for Matthew to finish as well.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, of course."

He turned to Irene and said, "We'll keep in regular contact and do let us know of anything that happens here."

Matthew continued to eat his breakfast, soon finishing up.  He then saw that Lycoris was done and asked,

"Are you full, Lycoris?"

Irene nodded and replied, "Of course. I'll continue the investigations here on my side as well and if we do come to any conclusions or if we find any clues, I'll let you know."

Lycoris smiled and nodding, she said,

"Yes, I am quite full. This was very delicious. The chefs here really are amazing."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Thanks."

He turned to Lisianthus and said, "We should head to our room and pack and also let the others know that we'll be away for a while so they don't worry."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, they're very good at what they do."

There was a knock at the door and Olivia came in along with another maid.  Olivia asked,

"How was breakfast?"

Matthew replied, "It was very delicious and the coffee was great."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "I guess. It's only Bryan and Rosaline anyways, and Avi."

She sighed inwardly as she realized how most of their friends were absent but she followed Ryan to their room so they could pack before leaving.

Lycoris nodded happily and said,

"It was indeed, Olivia. Thank you very much. It was quite the meal."

Ryan escorted Lisianthus to their room so they could begin their packing and their journey to the human world.

Olivia smiled softly and replied, "I'm glad you liked it."

She gave instructions to the other maid to take the tray to the kitchen.  Olivia then turned to Lycoris and asked,

"Would you like me to prepare your bath, miss?"

Lisianthus followed Ryan to their room and once they were inside and alone, she gave him a small, loving smile and said,

"Thanks for supporting me on this, cutie. You truly give me strength."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yes, I would like that, Olivia. Thank you very much."

She addressed Matt and said, "You'll go refresh yourself as well, right, Matt? By the time you're done, I'll be done too and you can escort me downstairs to see everyone else?"

Ryan smiled back and replied, "I'll always support you, beautiful.  Your plan is good and Duchess Irene will make sure that everything is ok back here."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Yup, that's right.  I'm going back to my room to shower and have a quick change of clothes and then I'll be back here to escort you downstairs to visit the others."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Yes, I trust that. Irene knows how to take care of things here so nothing will go wrong in my absence and well, even if something does, she'll let me know."

She paused then said, "There's something I haven't thought about. Where are we going to stay during our time there? Although I am guessing Devenshire has plenty of inns so we can stay at one of them."

Lycoris nodded happily, excited about the idea and replied, "Ok then, I'll be waiting for you. Don't take too long, ok?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "True or we could stay at my place or even at the castle.  We could let the king and queen know of your plan and I'm sure they'd be all right with letting us stay there to plan things."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "I'll be quick then."

He got up and took his leave.  Meanwhile, Olivia went into the bathroom to prepare Lycoris' bath, making sure to set aside towels and a bathrobe.  Once she was done, she returned to Lycoris' side and said, "Your bath is ready, miss."

Lisianthus looked thoughtful and replied, "Hmm well, we're going to the castle first thing anyways to check if there are any news about the search process. I'll let the king and queen know about our plan and if they offer that we stay, I'll agree. But otherwise, I won't ask and we can stay at your place. Is that ok?"

Lycoris smiled softly and replied, "Thanks, Olivia."

She reached to her feet and after taking a deep breath, she carefully got up. Although she still felt weak, she felt better than how she was the day before and was able to stand on her feet more easily. She then waited for Olivia to take her to the bathroom.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Sure, that sounds like a good plan to me."

Olivia escorted Lycoris to the bathroom and once there, she guided Lycoris' hands to the bathtub, towels, and bathrobe.  She then said,

"You just let me know when you'd like me to wash your hair and I'll come right in here, miss."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Ok then. Let's get prepared."

She went to the closet and got out a couple of bags. She said, "I'll just need one to pack my things and you can use the other one, cutie."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Ok, thanks, Olivia."

She waited until Olivia left and then took off her nightgown and went into the bathtub. She washed herself and after a little time, she called out to Olivia,

"Olivia? You can come in now."

(Sorry for the slow reply.  Had some Internet troubles and all.  Anyway, I'll make this post and then go to sleep.)

Ryan nodded and replied, "Thanks, beautiful."

He took the other bag and proceeded to put his clothes in it.

Olivia entered the bathroom and approaching Lycoris, she took the bottle of shampoo and carefully proceeded to wash Lycoris' hair.  She commented,

"Your hair is very beautiful, miss."

(Ahh it's ok, no worries. I had to go off for lunch anyways and all. Nite, nite. ^^)

Lisianthus proceeded to put her clothes and things in her bag as well, taking only the necessary things as she didn't want the bag to end up too heavy. She was definitely glad that Ryan would accompany her although she hoped their journey would be fruitful in the end.

Lycoris smiled softly and replied, "Really? That's sweet of you to say, Olivia. Thank you."

She paused then as she had something on her mind, she quietly said, hesitance clear in her voice,

"Umm Olivia, you-you remember what you told me yesterday? Umm about how Matthew looks especially happy around me and all that?"
