Romance RP

The head healer had his head down as he replied,

"The maid responsible for taking care of her went last night to her room to get her ready for the night but she wasn't there. We searched everywhere around the mansion but there was no trace. But there was no sign of anyone breaking in or anything like that. She...she just disappeared."

Lisianthus had an angry frown over her face and furious, she replied, "What's the meaning of this? She disappeared like that?! How could this be? Where were the soldiers? How could she be gone just like so?!"

Lycoris looked curious and replied, "Oh but how special? Are there any special qualities you want in a soul mate? But yes, both of them are married now. Alex's wife is my sister and I know Bryan's wife as well."

Ryan could see how angry Lisianthus was and he could certainly understand.  Looking to the head healer, he calmly replied,

"Sir, please tell us as much as you can.  Has there been a search party to look for Lycoris?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "I see.  Well, as to my soul mate, she'd be sweet, kind, curious about the world..."

He went on to describe all the qualities he sought for in a soul mate.

The head healer turned to Ryan and replied, "We looked everywhere we could, sir, but all in vain. It was a mansion on a cloud of its own near Blacklily, sir. We searched the mansion and I even sent soldiers to look in Blacklily but so far, nothing was found."

Although he knew that Ryan shouldn't know of Lycoris' location, at this point with Lycoris gone, it didn't matter whether Ryan knew or not.

Lycoris listened to Matthew as he mentioned the qualities he wanted in a woman and although most of the qualities were in her, nothing occurred to her. When he was finished, she smiled softly and said,

"Well, those are some beautiful qualities you want there and I am sure you'll find them in a woman one day. Everyone is bound to find their true love one day, I believe."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I see.  Well, Lycoris certainly couldn't have gone far.  She must be hiding somewhere."

Matthew smiled softly and replied, "Thanks, Lycoris.  That's very kind of you to say."

He continued to eat his breakfast and was soon all done.

Lisianthus turned to Ryan and replied, "She couldn't have left on her own, Ryan. She can't go anywhere on her own."

Her hands forming fists angrily, she said, "It must be that shapeshifter. But how could she have known her place? It-it doesn't make any sense but she must have something to do with it."

Lycoris was soon all finished as well, feeling full. She bowed her head gratefully and said, "This was quite delicious. Thank you very much, Matt."

Ryan wasn't so sure that it was the shapeshifter, especially considering that he and Irene knew where Lycoris had been held and neither of them would have ever told her.  He looked thoughtful and said,

"So if Lycoris is with the shapeshifter, if we find the shapeshifter, we find Lycoris?"

Matthew smiled softly and replied, "You're welcome, Lycoris.  I'm happy you liked the meal."

He gathered the empty dishes and such and put the tray outside for one of the maids to take later.  Returning to Lycoris' side, he then said,

"I'll take care of the note now and you should get some sleep.  Well, unless you prefer to wash up and have a change of clothes?  In that case, I can ask one of the maids to help you."

Although Lisianthus wasn't so sure herself, she replied, "Well, that must be it, right? No one else could have taken Lycoris away and definitely, Lycoris didn't leave on her own. That's impossible, isn't it?"

The head healer looked thoughtful, as the latter choice wasn't so impossible after all, especially that he remembered a certain question Lycoris asked the day before.

Lycoris blushed a bit but admitting to herself that she would like to wash up and change, she replied shyly,

"Well, umm, if it isn't too much trouble? I-I mean, it's ok if I have to stay like this if it would be any burden."

She still felt a little shy around Matthew and withdrawn, as he was still somewhat a stranger and she couldn't help but feel that her presence was inadvertently troublesome.

(Ahh I am heading to college in a bit although I should come back early but yup, if I don't catch up on posting or if I am late, that's why. XD)

(Ahh ok.  XD)

Ryan replied, "Yeah, it's highly unlikely that Lycoris could have left on her own."

However, he knew that Lycoris didn't like being held where she was so he thought that perhaps she could have made a plan to escape on her own.

Matthew smiled softly and gently touching Lycoris' right hand, he replied,

"It isn't any trouble at all.  Let me go find one of the maids.  I'll be right back."

He left Lycoris' room to find a maid and soon returned with a matronly looking woman beside him.  He approached Lycoris and said,

"I'm back and this is Olivia.  She'll help you wash up and change into a nightgown.  I've given her instructions to help you out."

Olivia curtseyed and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you, miss."

(Back now. XD)

The head healer spoke up then and with a confused frown on his face, he said,

"Yesterday early during the afternoon, I was having lunch with Lady Lycoris and hmm, she asked me a question that I thought was strange but I didn't think much of it."

Lisianthus turned to him and asked, "And what was that?"

The head healer replied, "She asked me whether there were any other portals to the humans' world other than the one here in the chapel. I told her about the one near Myriaden but she didn't clarify why she asked. She said she was only curious. I didn't think much of it but could this have to do with her disappearance somehow?"

Lycoris smiled softly and bowed her head respectfully, she said,

"And it's a pleasure to meet you as well, Olivia. I hope I won't trouble you too much but I would really appreciate the help."

Ryan turned to Lisianthus and asked, "Is there any way we can check out that portal and find out if it's been used recently?  If it has, then there's a chance that Lycoris could have used it."

Olivia smiled softly and replied, "I will be happy to help you, miss.  Sir Matthew has informed me of your condition and I will treat you gently and to the best of my care."

Matthew added, "Olivia is one of the nicest maids here and I thought you'd be more comfortable with her than one of the younger maids."

The head healer nodded and replied, "Yes, I believe Her Majesty can do that."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "I definitely can. We should head there immediately then but could it be really that Lycoris escaped on her own? I-I mean, how could she, with her condition and all? And that place is high in the sky so she couldn't have left without someone's help."

Lycoris smiled gratefully and replied, "Yes, she sounds quite nice. Thank you very much, Matthew and thank you in advance, Olivia. I truly appreciate your help."

She was quite grateful that she met such nice people who didn't save any effort to help her.

Ryan looked thoughtful and replied, "Lycoris possesses magic, right?  I mean, could she have somehow used magic to escape?  It could be possible, even in her condition."

Matthew replied, "I will be back to check on you in a little bit.  I'll head to my room to write the note and send it to your friends so they know that you are here.  In the meantime, Olivia will help you to wash up and get changed."

Olivia added, "I'll make sure that your dress is washed well, miss."

Lisianthus was still confused how Lycoris' magic could help her get around but she replied,

"Well, anyways, we should head to the other portal right away and check. Then we can start thinking where she could be based on what we find."

The head healer said, "I am coming with you, Your Majesty."

Lisianthus nodded and turning to Ryan, she said, "You'll come too, right, cutie?"

Lycoris nodded and smiling gratefully to Olivia, she replied, "I would appreciate that. Thanks, Olivia."

Addressing Matthew, she said, "Please do, Matthew. The shapeshifter needs to know that I am here as soon as possible. Thank you."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Of course, beautiful.  I'll help out in any way that I can and my magic could prove useful in finding Lycoris as well."

Matthew smiled softly and replied, "No problem.  I'll be back a little later then and I know you'll be in the best of hands."

He bowed respectfully and then went into his room to write the note and take care of a few other things.

Olivia then turned to Lycoris and said, "Would you like to take a bath, miss?  If so, I'll prepare one for you and make sure it feels extra comfortable."

Lisianthus smiled gratefully to Ryan and replied, "Okay then. I would really appreciate that, cutie."

She led the way out of the office then out of the castle, heading to the stables. There, she ordered the stableman to prepare a carriage with pegasi to take them to Myriaden as fast as possible, and the stableman left immediately to do as told.

Lycoris nodded and replied, "I would like that very much if it wouldn't be any trouble, Olivia. It would help me refresh a bit and all."

She smiled at her gratefully, appreciating her help.

As the carriage was being prepared, Ryan couldn't help but wonder what had happened to Lycoris and more importantly, he hoped that she was all right, wherever she was.

Olivia returned Lycoris' smile with one of her own and replied, "Of course, miss.  I'd be happy to prepare a bath for you.  I'll be right back."

She went into the adjoining bathroom and then prepared a warm bubble bath and added in lavender petals so the bath water would smell extra nice.  Once the bath was prepared, Olivia returned to Lycoris and said,

"The bath is all ready for you, miss.  May I escort you into the bathroom?  It's very close by."

The carriage was soon all prepared and the stableman led the party to it and helped them inside. Once they were all set, the driver started moving it and took to the air, heading to Myriaden.

Lycoris nodded with a smile and said, "Sure."

She reached to her feet and tried to get up and although her strength didn't help her much, she was doing her best to stand on her own and follow Olivia to the bathroom.

As the party headed towards their destination, Ryan turned to Lisianthus and touching her hands, he said,

"We'll find her, beautiful.  We will."

Olivia approached Lycoris and gently holding her arm, she said,

"Please allow me to help you, miss."

She slowly walked with Lycoris to the bathroom and then she said, "We're in the bathroom.  Would you like me to help you undress and enter the bathtub?"

Lisianthus looked quite worried and said, "I hope so. This-this is my fault, right? She ran away because of me? I-I didn't want to let her go when she asked..."

She looked quite depressed at the thought.

Lycoris blushed but shaking her head, she replied, "It's ok. I'll manage. Umm could you wait outside and once I am done, I-I'll call for you to bring my nightgown? If that's ok."

Ryan shook his head and replied, "Please don't think that, beautiful.  We won't know her reasons until we find her.  So let's just focus on finding her right now, ok?"

Olivia nodded and replied, "If you're sure, miss."

She gently guided Lycoris' hands to the bathtub and then to the towels and bathrobe.  She said,

"I think you'll manage but do you wish to wash your hair, too?"

Lisianthus took a deep breath and nodding, she said, "You're right. That's the most important thing at the moment."

The carriage continued flying towards Myriaden and soon, the party made it there and the driver led the carriage to land. He then opened the door and helped them out.

Indeed, the portal was already open and running as although it should have disappeared as soon as Lycoris stepped into it, she hadn't summoned it quite correctly that it was still going, but quite unstable.

Lycoris looked thoughtful for a moment but thinking that her hair would have gotten dusty from the fall and the ordeal she went through to escape, she nodded and replied,

"Umm ok, if you don't mind. I think it could use the wash, right? I mean, I don't know how I look at the moment but it can't be quite neat."

Ryan looked at the portal and said, "The portal shouldn't be open like that, should it?  Unless someone just went through it?"

He looked confused, not knowing what to make of the situation.

Olivia smiled softly and replied, "It certainly couldn't hurt to give it a wash.  Why don't you undress and enter the bath and wash yourself first?  I'll wait right outside the door and then you can call for me when you wish to wash your hair.  Does that sound good?"

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again before work.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lisianthus was puzzled as well and replied, "Yes, that's true. Let me check it."

She approached the portal but the magical energy she felt was unbearable and on approaching it, there was a wave of energy immediately pushing her backwards. Alarmed and surprised, she said,

"Woah. What's wrong with it? It's quite unstable. It can't be that someone just used it."

Lycoris nodded and smiling softly, she replied, "Yes, that sounds good. Thank you very much."

She waited until Olivia left the bathroom and then started to undress and got into the bath, which was warm and nice. It felt quite relaxing and she washed up, cleaning and refreshing herself.

(Hi Love.  I got your gifts on Steam and thank you very much.  You really didn't have to get me anything.  I feel very happy to be your friend for many years and I hope our friendship will only continue to grow.    I'm planning on giving gifts, too, although I might not finish doing so until tomorrow since today is going to be a bit hectic with work and all.  ^^  And speaking of work, I'll be back a little later tonight since I have that new class and thus, I'll be home later but I'll be here as soon as I'm all done and free.  XD)

Ryan furrowed his eyebrows and replied, "Something must have gone wrong when the last person activated the portal.  That would explain its instability.  What do we do?"

As Olivia waited outside the bathroom for Lycoris to call out to her, meanwhile, Matthew had just finished writing the note that mentioned that Lycoris was at his place.  However, he decided to address it to Lady Penelope.  After the note was written and sealed, he asked one of the butlers to deliver it to Alex's and Nerine's house right away, giving directions on where it was.

(Aww you're welcome and thank you so much for your gifts as well. I'm lucky to be your friend for so long and I hope for the same thing as well. ^^ And take your time with work and all. I understand. XD ^^)

Lisianthus continued to eye the portal with concern and replied, "I-I can try to close it."

She approached the portal and extending her arms to it, she did her best to shut down the portal despite its instability although it didn't prove to be easy. Meanwhile, the head healer turned to Ryan and said,

"Could it be that Lady Lycoris was here and she's the one who opened this portal? This would explain its instability. Her state of health won't allow her to use her magic powerfully enough."

Lycoris finished cleaning herself and not wanting to keep Olivia waiting outside for long, she called out to her,

"Olivia? You-you can come in now."
