Ryan smiled softly and replied, "Yup, I'm sure you'll all be safe with each other."

He looked thoughtful and added, "I probably won't be back before dinner tomorrow evening so I'll make sure that I make lunch for you and have it readily available.  It's probably best that you stay in our room while I'm away tomorrow."

Alex nodded and replied, "I agree.  All I expected was an extra blanket or two when I made that request earlier but she was really thoughtful to bring us here.  It proves that I am right about her.  There is some good inside her, even though she's not aware of it."

Lycoris shook her head and replied, "Don't bother. I'll be fine-I can myself a sandwich or something if I am hungry or I can even have some of the sweets in the icebox. I told you not to worry about me, ok? I am not completely helpless."

Nerine nodded in agreement and replied, "I suppose you're right. You have such a good sight into people, Alex. This gives us some hope, right? Having someone who isn't quite ruthless with us."

Ryan reached out to touch Lycoris' arm and smiling softly at her, he replied, "I know.  I guess I can't help but worry about my one and only angel.  I want to make sure that you have everything readily available for you while I'm away.  I promise I'll return as soon as possible, though, ok?"

Alex smiled and replied, "That's true and she can definitely protect us from the captain.  She did so before even though she denied it, otherwise.  I guess people really are quite complicated.  That captain is obviously bad but that woman isn't."

Lycoris smiled a little although she felt bad hearing Ryan's words, for she wanted him to stop caring about her but it was definitely too early. Nodding, she replied,

"I'll be waiting for you and I know you'll do everything you can to bring Alex and Nerine back to safety."

Nerine nodded in agreement and then thoughtfully replied, "I wonder why she's hooded all the time though. I mean, it's not like we know her or anything so I doubt her identity matters a lot, right?"

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "Thanks, Lycoris.  Just having your belief in me keeps me strong and motivates me to do everything I can to get Alex and Nerine back safely.  I'll do this just for you."

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "Yeah, that is a good point.  Everyone else we've seen here has made their faces known so yeah.  I don't know if I should approach her on this subject, though."

(Curious but would Alex and Nerine recognize that shapeshifter if her hood was off?  XD)

Lycoris smiled softly but didn't say anything else, turning back her attention to petting Robert ever so gently.

(Ahh nope, she's hiding something else with the hood although she does have a secret to do with them. XD)

Nerine nodded and replied, "Yeah, it might provoke her or something. I can't help being curious though. It seems like she's hiding something major to be wearing a hood all the time."

As the couple continued to spend the evening like so, Ryan commented,

"When things settle down, I'll take you to the beach near here.  Then we can make sand castles and collect seashells.  That'll be a fun way to relax and destress, I think."

Alex nodded and replied, "I agree.  If she slips up, we might get a chance to see what she looks like but we'd have to be incredibly lucky for that to happen."

He looked thoughtful and added, "I wonder if we would recognize her mom since she's a god and all."

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and make a post before going to work and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded although she didn't say anything, as she didn't look forward to that trip anymore, or any similar trips, as she believed she was hurting Ryan by spending time and building happy memories with him.

Feeling quite exhausted, she said, "Ryan, can we turn in for the night? I know it's a bit early but I'm tired. Today was really stressful and I just want to get some sleep."

Nerine looked thoughtful as well and replied, "Hmm but if she's someone we know, she probably won't show her face, right?"

She paused then looking disturbed, she continued, "But if that's the case, that means there's a spy of the sort back in the castle in the gods' world, right? Someone they think they can trust but is actually on the captain's side."

Although Ryan couldn't help but feel a bit hurt by Lycoris' request, he reasoned that it wasn't an unreasonable one.  So nodding, he replied,

"Sure, we can do that."

He turned to the horse and said, "We'll go to sleep now but I'll see you tomorrow morning before I'm off, ok?"

Robert whinnied happily and nodded his head in reply.

Alex was shocked as the realization hit him as well and nodding, he replied, "That's right.  This is something we'll need to tell Sia about as soon as we get out of here."

Lycoris petted Robert gently and said, "Good night, Robert. Sleep well."

Holding the puppies in her arms, she followed Ryan to their room, just wanting to get some sleep as she was quite exhausted, physically and mentally.

Nerine nodded and replied, "It's still just a speculation on our side, though. I guess we won't really confirm unless her mother shows up."

Ryan gently held on to Lycoris' arm as he led the way back inside the house and upstairs to their room.  There, he placed Lycoris on the sofa and said,

"Is it ok if I get ready first?  I'll be quick, I promise."

Alex nodded and replied, "That's true and if Ryan agrees to the exchange, we won't be staying here long enough to find out who she is."

He sighed and then added, "Well, I guess there's no point to thinking too much about things for now."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Sure, and take your time. I'll be waiting here."

Nerine sighed as well and nodding in agreement, she replied, "I guess so. Let's hope things just go smoothly."

Noticing it was getting late, she said, "Do you want to turn in for the night? Some rest would be good. We don't know what's waiting for us tomorrow."

Ryan smiled and replied, "Ok."

He then got a pair of pajamas and went into the bathroom to wash up and change for the night.

Alex replied, "Yeah, that's true.  We should get some sleep then."

He took off his shoes and then climbed into bed, waiting for Nerine to join him.  He smiled softly and added,

"This definitely feels a lot more comfortable than last night."

Lycoris waited patiently for Ryan with the puppies on her lap although she didn't feel up to playing with them. Although she just wanted to sleep and forget things, her mind kept wandering around and recalling the day's events, which only deepened the pain inside her.

Nerine smiled softly and after taking off her shoes as well, she climbed into bed by Alex's side and cuddled close to him. She said,

"Yup, it definitely is."

She reached out for the blankets and using them to cover themselves, she said, "And now we can be warm as well."

(Aww, I feel bad for Lycoris but I didn't want her to go to the captain and get herself killed in the process.  :/)

Ryan quickly finished washing up and changed into a pair of dark blue pajamas.  He then combed his hair and checked himself in the mirror.  He definitely looked better than he did earlier and felt a little better as well although a part of him still felt down.  Knowing that Lycoris was waiting for him, though, he left the bathroom and put away his clothes.  Approaching Lycoris, he said,

"I'm all done, my angel.  Let's get you washed up and then I'll fetch your nightgown, ok?"

Alex wrapped his arms around Nerine's waist and smiling softly at her, he replied, "It sure is.  Sleep well, my darling, and see you in the morning."

He then closed his eyes, sleep coming soon upon him.

(Ahh you did the right thing and saved her life. XD But it will take some time for her to get over things. XD)

Lycoris became alert as she heard Ryan's voice and nodding, she replied, "Ok."

She then got up and holding on to Ryan, she followed him to the bathroom.

(Ahh we can leave Alex and Nerine for a while. XD So that both parties are together in time and all. XD)

(Ahh I understand, and yup, I agree as well on Alex and Nerine.  XD)

Ryan led Lycoris into the bathroom and there, he helped her to brush her teeth and then wash her face.  After both tasks were completed, he fetched a beautiful white nightgown and handing it to her, he said,

"Here's your nightgown, Lycoris.  Do you need anything else?"

Lycoris took the nightgown from Ryan and shaking her head, she replied,

"Thanks, Ryan. I'll change and let you know once I am done."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok, take your time."

He then left the bathroom, making sure to close the door.  He then sat on the sofa and although he felt a little tired, he wanted to contact Lisianthus and let her know what was going on.  So taking out his pendant, he asked,

"Beautiful, are you there?"

Lisianthus had just entered her room to turn in for the night when she felt her pendant activating. Receiving Ryan's call, she smiled and said,

"Hey, cutie. I am glad you contacted me. How is everything on your end?"

Ryan smiled softly upon hearing Lisianthus' voice and replied, "Things are fine here although I had a bit of a scare earlier."

Figuring that there was no point in hiding his feelings, he explained how Lycoris wanted to go to the captain and fight him despite that she wasn't ready and how he had to stop her from doing so.

Lisianthus was worried as Ryan explained what happened earlier. Once he was done, she sighed and replied,

"Alex and Nerine mean a lot to Lycoris so she must have taken their kidnapping so hard. But you calmed her down, right? And you're ok? I am sure once the exchange is made tomorrow and they're back to safety, she won't bring up such madness again."

Ryan replied, "Yeah, we're both fine although tired but that's understandable.  And I sure hope so.  We spent the day training Lycoris' duplicate and presenting all the possible scenarios to her so she should be ready when we make the exchange tomorrow.  I told Lycoris that she should remain here so she'll be safe while I go with the duplicate to make the exchange.  I'll need to contact you again tomorrow morning when I finalize the details with that shapeshifter."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Sure, I'll make myself free next morning and if things go ok and the shapeshifter agrees to hold the exchange in the gods' world, I'll make sure to come to you to open the gate and everything. Don't worry-just take care of contacting her and let me take care of the rest, ok, cutie?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "Thanks, beautiful.  You truly are the best."

He smiled softly, as it helped having Lisianthus comfort and help him.  Remembering something, he asked,

"Did either Rosaline or Bryan contact you about returning to the castle?  I told them what was going on and they agreed that returning there is the best course of action.  I don't want either of them to be a target of that captain."
