Romance RP

Ryan nodded and replied, "Sure, let's get started."

He then opened up the book and began to read.  The story was about a young woman who felt lonely and abandoned in the world because so many people feared her.  

(I'm trying to see if I can make the story a little similar to what's happening to Lycoris although not really.  lol)

Lycoris listened with interest as Ryan began the story, and she immediately sympathized with the heroine of the story, wondering why so many people feared her so. Then she waited for Ryan to read more, hoping to know why soon.

Ryan continued to read, and the story explained that the heroine was feared because she had great magical power that was hard to control.  So she felt lonely and abandoned, not having one friend in the world.  But one day, a prince from a far away land met the heroine just as she felt lost in her despair and having found out about her powers, he explained that he had powers similar to hers but that he could control them and could help her control hers, too.

As Lycoris continued listening to the story, she couldn't help but think over how the story of the heroine sounded similar to hers. She, too, had great powers and although she wasn't feared by others, she was dangerous to them and had to stay away.

Then the part about the prince came and she felt him quite similar to Ryan, for he was quite powerful as well and was helping her control her powers too. She listened with even more interest, wanting to see how things unfold for those two.

Ryan continued to read the story, and the story described how the heroine and the prince became friends.  And as they got closer, the heroine's life was in danger because a dangerous sorcerer was after the heroine, craving for her powers.  Although the heroine wanted the prince to stay away from her, as she didn't wish for him to be hurt, the prince refused, vowing to stay with the heroine for all time.

Lycoris was more attentive than ever, especially as Ryan read the part about the dangerous sorcerer who was after the heroine's powers. She thought it was quite similar to the captain who was after her, and how Ryan was staying by her side to help her and protect her despite all the dangers that surrounded him. She waited for him to read more, waiting to see how things end.

Ryan continued to read, and the story described how the relationship between the heroine and prince had blossomed into love.  Despite the heroine's repetitive words that the prince stay away from her, he would always refuse, exclaiming that he loved her and that there was no way he would ever abandon her.

Then came the final battle, as the heroine and the evil sorcerer battled each other.  As the heroine looked like she would be defeated, the prince suddenly came to the rescue and he and the heroine combined their powers to take down the sorcerer.  Then the two lived in peace and soon after got married.  Finally, the prince took his new princess back to his castle where they could live out the rest of their days in peace and happiness.

Lycoris was happy that the story had a happy ending, and she was amazed by how similar it was to her story with Ryan and the captain, minus the romantic part. She blushed at such a thought although she quickly put it out of her head, knowing that she and Ryan shared a sibling-like relationship and Ryan would never feel for her what the prince did for the heroine.

Smiling softly, she said, "That was such a good story and I'm really glad that it ended well. The heroine and prince deserved their happily ever after."

Ryan nodded happily and replied,

"Yup, they sure did.  That was a great story, wasn't it?"

The puppies barked happily and chuckling, Ryan added, "And it sounds like our boys liked it, too."

Lycoris giggled a little and petting the puppies happily, she said,

"It deserves all the praise. You know, we had a lot in common with the heroine and prince, if you look at it carefully. I do hope we can defeat the captain, too, just like they defeated the bad sorcerer in the story."

Although Lycoris told herself that she couldn't get a happy ending like the heroine, defeating the captain was good enough for her before she would leave the world.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yup, you're right about that.  So if we compare the story to what's happening in our lives, you're the beautiful heroine and I'm your prince and that captain is the sorcerer."

He gazed happily at Lycoris, wondering if the story was trying to tell him something.

Lycoris giggled and nodding, she replied,

"That's true. We're working together to defeat the bad captain and I have faith that we will do so then the world can be a happy and a peaceful place without him, just like the ending of the story. She even tried to push the prince away before she feared for him, just like I feared for you and still do."

Ryan chuckled and replied, "And just like the prince, I won't leave your side, my angel.  There really are quite a lot of similarities between this story and our lives.  I wonder if it's trying to tell us something."

The puppies barked happily, as though telling Ryan that it was.

(Well, the puppies seem to see what Lycoris and Ryan can't see. XD)

Lycoris petted the puppies gently and said,

"It looks like the little ones agree with you, Ryan, although I wonder what it is? Is it that we shouldn't ever give up, that we would defeat the captain eventually?"

Although her mind would drift to the romantic part for some reason, she quickly pushed it away.

(lol  Yup.  XD)

Ryan looked thoughtful and replied, "Perhaps.  Maybe the story's trying to tell us that we should persevere, despite whatever obstacles may be in our way."

The puppies barked at the couple, as though trying to tell the couple that they were missing the point of the story.

Lycoris was about to agree with Ryan but she noticed that the puppies continued barking. Petting them gently, she said,

"Hmm it sounds as though they're telling to tell us something but I can't tell what. Maybe they don't really agree with us there."

Ryan looked to the puppies and asked, "Do you boys have a different idea what the story's trying to tell us?"

The puppies barked, as though they were trying to tell Ryan and Lycoris that they were in love, but Ryan simply looked confused and added,

"I can't read their minds, unfortunately.  Hmm, I guess we'll figure it out in time."

Lycoris was confused as well and nodding, she replied,

"I am sure. Hmm I wonder if there's some spell that can help us read animals' minds. I'd love to learn such a spell. It would make me happy to communicate with these little boys."

Ryan looked thoughtful and replied, "I don't think there is such a spell yet although I'd like there to be one as well.  It would be great to communicate with these little guys here."

The puppies tried to communicate what they wanted to say to Lycoris and Ryan but as the couple didn't understand, they gave up.

Lycoris smiled and nodding, she held the puppies in her arms and continued petting them gently. She said,

"This is such a peaceful evening. I hope every night is like this."

Ryan smiled fondly and replied, "Me, too."

Thinking of something, he asked, "Hey, Lycoris, would you like some hot chocolate?  I know it's a bit late but I'm in the mood for one and it would help warm us up some more."

Lycoris looked delighted at the idea and nodding, she replied,

"I'd love that, if it wouldn't be trouble, Ryan. I like hot chocolate anytime and you're right that it would warm us some more."

Ryan chuckled happily and replied, "Great, and it wouldn't be much trouble.  It won't take me long at all to make two cups of hot chocolate.  Back to the kitchen then."

After he set aside the book, he got up and helped Lycoris to her feet.  Then he escorted her to the kitchen and then proceeded to make two cups of hot chocolate.

Lycoris followed Ryan to the kitchen, waiting patiently for him after that till he prepared the two cups of hot chocolate, which she looked forward to having anytime.

Ryan quickly finished making two cups of hot chocolate and after he was done, he carried the cups to the table.  He placed one of the cups in front of Lycoris and said,

"Here you are, Lycoris.  I hope it's to your liking."
