Romance RP

William chuckled lightly and replied, "Yup, you can have lunch. I am sure the fish would like to take a rest anyways."

He then took the hook back and closed it up.

Megan replied happily, "Thanks, William."

She opened up the picnic basket that Stacey had given her and inside, she found some delicious assortment of fruits and a few sandwiches. Megan took out the sandwiches and looking at William, she asked, "Which sandwich do you want? Stacey made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and chicken salad sandwiches. There's some fruit juice here, too."

William shook his head and replied, "Ahh I am not hungry now but you enjoy your lunch."

As he couldn't eat, he just was going to enjoy the sea for a bit. Although he felt seasick before, being with Megan made him forget such a thing.

Megan nodded and replied, "Ok, I'll save some food for you."

She put most of the sandwiches back in the picnic basket but took out a chicken salad sandwich for herself. She began eating happily, enjoying William's company and looking out at the ocean at the same time.

Meanwhile, William sat quietly watching the sea and the beach from far, which seemed to be small but still pretty from far.

As Megan continued to eat her lunch, she remembered something. Pausing in her eating, she looked up at William and said,

"I almost forgot. My art teacher has taught us portraits so I'd like to start working on your portrait. Can you see me once or twice a week? I'll do my best to capture how handsome and wonderful you are."

William didn't have a problem with that so he replied, "Well, if you need me to do so, I will. I'll try to come to you at least once a week but maybe twice if I can."

Megan felt so happy when she heard William's reply that she put down her food and hugged William around the waist, replying,

"Thank you so much! You're the best."

She then let go of William and resumed eating her lunch.

William softly smiled and then turned his attention towards the sea and the sights, which he no longer felt sick of. He was feeling, if not happy, glad for the first time in a long while.

Megan continued to eat her lunch happily and after a little while, she finished. She disposed of the trash in a corner of the basket and drank some juice. She looked up at William and asked,

"Are you thirsty? There are some cups and the fruit and juice is delicious."

William shook his head and replied, "Ahh I am alright, no worries. If I feel thirsty later, I will have something."

Megan nodded and put the cups and other things back in the picnic basket. Once she was done, Megan looked up at William and innocently asked,

"William, do you want to know, really want to know, why I feel so close to you? Ms. Laura and a few others have wondered but I haven't told them."

Since it made William curious at times as he thought he didn't have an attractive personality, he replied with a curious look on his face,

"If you feel comfortable to tell me, I would like to know. It made me wonder at times."

Megan smiled innocently and with this far away, dreamy-eyed look, she replied, "You remind me of my dad in a lot of ways. The two of you look similar but besides that, you're very kind, strong, and caring. My dad was like that. I miss him a lot and no one has ever come close to him before I met you. No one can ever replace my dad but seeing you and being with me helps me to remember all the happy times we had and that I'm never alone."

William smiled softly and kindly at Megan as she told him of her reason, which he felt sympathy for. It took him a bit to find something to reply with, but then he replied,

"I know I cannot replace your dad, Megan, but I am glad that you feel that comfortable towards me. In a way, too, you make me feel better, a lot better. I don't tell this to many people, you know, and it's very rare for me to open up to somebody like this."

Megan nodded in understanding and replied, "I think we understand each other very well, William. I wanted to tell you my feelings which I don't to a lot of people."

Thinking that it was time to change the subject to a lighter one, she continued, "How about we continue fishing until the sun comes down?"

William nodded and replied, "Alright then. How about you go with another try then? I am sure you will catch something nice."

He handed her the fishing pole.

Megan took the fishing pole from William and after putting bait on the hook, she threw it into the water and waited patiently, hoping to catch another fish. She enjoyed spending the day with William and after her confession on why she liked him, she felt even better.

William watched silently as Megan continued fishing and waiting for any fish to take the hook. He was touched of why did Megan like him and he of course returned her feelings.

Megan waited a little longer for one of the fish to catch the bait. After a while, she felt a tug on her fishing pole and she tried to reel in the fish. However, this one was very strong and she struggled to pull it in. But she kept trying and trying, not wanting to fail in front of William.

William saw that Megan was pulling a fish but it seemed that it was pretty strong. But he didn't want to help her except if she asked for it.

Megan continued trying to reel in the fish but it was proving to be a tough fight. Finally, glancing at William, she timidly asked,

"Would you help me? This one's really strong."

William chuckled slightly and then nodding, he went to Megan and putting his arms around her, he got hold of the fishing pole with her, reeling the fish in with her and using his strength.

With William's help, Megan was finally able to reel in the fish. She successfully got it out of the water and marveling at the fish, she observed how big it was. It was the biggest one she had caught yet.

Megan said, "No wonder I had trouble this time. This one is huge, don't you think?"

William nodded and replied, "Yup, it's huge and it looks to be strong, too. But we beat it, so we both are stronger than it."

He winked at her.
