Alex took a seat next to Nerine and looking to Avi, he replied, "Please do, Avi. We'll bring Lycoris tomorrow morning and please talk some sense into her. She was quite stubborn about the whole bodyguard issue as well. She doesn't want us to endanger ourselves for her but she doesn't get that it's our choice. It's not like we're being forced to help her."

As everyone rested, Ryan grinned and commented, "We make quite the pair, beautiful. We'll take that chancellor down, no doubt."

Avi nodded and replied, "I will. I wish I could go outside myself and take care of her every need but I have to depend on you meanwhile, guys, and I know you care about Lycoris as much as I do."

Nerine was secretly sick of this whole talk about Lycoris although she did her best not to show any signs, but hoped that the party would stop talking about her soon.

Lisianthus nodded confidently and replied, "Definitely! We're quite strong, you with your magic and me with my fighting. No one could top that!"

Alex nodded and replied, "I'll do my best. I'll make the best arrangements I can for Lycoris and hope that everything works out."

He paused for a moment and then said, "We should eat before the food gets cold."

Ryan grinned and replied, "Yup, that's right. Hmm, you know, we should train against one another later. I wonder who would win."

(I'm getting sleepy and it's getting late so I should get off for the night now. I'll check back tomorrow and post again. Nite, nite, Love. ^^)

Avi nodded and after everyone was seated to eat, they all began eating dinner, which was delicious and hot as usual.

Lisianthus looked delighted by the idea and nodding excitedly, she replied, "Yes, yes, we should definitely do it! I totally want to battle you, and I'll give you my total best!"

Everyone ate although Alex's thoughts were preoccupied about Lycoris. He was worried about her and although he admired her selflessness, he was worried that she was sacrificing herself to make everyone else happy and that didn't feel right to him.

Ryan chuckled and nodding, he replied, "And I'll do the same."

He then gave Lisianthus a sly look and said, "If I win, what would I get as my reward?"

Nerine, Avi and Rosaline had their dinners as well and Avi was worried about Lycoris as well, while Rosaline was enjoying Bryan's company. Nerine was thinking about Lycoris as well, but from a different perspective, thinking of how she could keep that sinister, sly sister away from her sister, as she couldn't afford to lose Alex to her again.

Lisianthus gazed into Ryan's eyes slyly and lovingly as she replied, "I'll leave that as a surprise, cutie, but you know the quality of my rewards and they're all nice, aren't they?"

(O.O Man, Nerine's thinking about Lycoris is scary.)

As everyone ate, Bryan looked lovingly at Rosaline and said,

"It's been a while since we ate like this, hasn't it, my love? And it looks like the puppies are enjoying dinner, too."

The puppies ate happily.

Ryan grinned and replied, "Yup, they are. And you know that my rewards are equally as wonderful."

He gazed lovingly into Lisianthus' eyes.

(Yup, that's true. O.O)

Rosaline nodded happily and replied, "That's true, my love. I missed eating with you. The food tastes even more delicious when you're with me because you're in my company."

Lisianthus nodded happily as she continued gazing lovingly at Ryan and replied, "Definitely! That's why I am totally going to beat you, cutie."

Irene watched the couple exchanging loving gestures with an amused smile and a sweat drop.

Bryan blushed slightly and replied, "I feel exactly the same way.  I sure missed having meals with you, my love."

He glanced lovingly at Rosaline for a moment before resuming his meal.

Ryan chuckled and slyly replied, "We'll see about that, beautiful.  After all, I don't want to miss your sweet rewards."

(Man, I can imagine how Lisianthus and Ryan would be as rulers and Irene watching on.  XD)

Rosaline returned the loving glances to Bryan and continued eating, soon finishing up her dinner. Nerine and Avi soon finished up as well and Avi commented,

"This was delicious but it was more so because you were with us, guys."

(lol Yup. I have a feeling Irene will have to keep watching them to make sure they keep up with their duties. XD)

Lisianthus grinned happily and after finishing drinking her bottle, she said,

"Let me know when you're ready, cutie, so I can beat you and get that lovely reward from you."

Alex smiled and replied, "We've missed having meals like this, haven't we, darling?"

He turned to Nerine for a reply.

Alex had finished up his dinner and Bryan was finishing up as well.

Ryan grinned and finished drinking the rest of his water. Then he replied,

"I'm ready when you are, beautiful, and don't expect me to go easy on you. I want that reward, too."

Nerine nodded in agreement and replied, "Yup, we did. It's great to have dinner with everyone again. Hopefully, we can be all reunited soon so we can have more meals like this."

Lisianthus replied happily, "Then let's get going, cutie, and don't you hold back!"

She led the way to the spot where they could begin their fight, and the soldiers gathered to watch this exciting battle.

Alex nodded and happily replied, "I couldn't have said it better myself, darling."

He helped to clean up the dishes and such so the maids could take them back later. Bryan did the same for him and Rosaline as well as gather the empty bowls from the puppies.

Ryan followed Lisianthus to the spot where they would have their battle and once they were both in position, he said,

"Ladies first, beautiful."

The party helped clean up everything and gathered the empty dishes and plates in the trays for the maids to take them later, placing them nearby. The maids arrived a little later and took everything, cleaning up the place, then left the party to themselves once more.

Lisianthus frowned in determination and becoming serious, she summoned her weapon and marched at Ryan to attack.

After the maids had cleaned up, Alex turned to everyone and asked,

"So how should we spend the evening? Any ideas?"

Ryan watched as Lisianthus charged at him and quickly dodged her attack. He then summoned a minor spell and aimed it at her. He made sure that the spell wouldn't harm her but rather that it would only disarm.

Avi looked thoughtful and replied, "Well, there isn't much we can do here, is there? We could just keep chatting, I suppose. How do you guys spend your days nowadays? You don't go out of the castle at all?"

Lisianthus quickly dodged Ryan's spell and attacked him with her weapon once more, making sure not to hurt him as well but to prevent him from casting any more spells at her.

Alex shook his head and replied, "No, not really. We do go spend some time in the garden but we don't leave the castle grounds. We don't want to miss our daily visits with you and Bryan."

Ryan found it difficult to cast more spells as Lisianthus aimed her attacks at him. He'd cast defensive shields so the attacks wouldn't penetrate at him while trying to come up with new attacks of his own.

Avi nodded and replied, "We appreciate it, guys. Your daily visits help us go on, really. I can't imagine how it would be if we couldn't see you at all."

Rosaline nodded and replied, "Same here. Spending two weeks without seeing my love would be hell for me."

Lisianthus saw that Ryan was only casting defensive shields for now so she continued attacking him, although her arms were getting a little tired. Not wanting to wear herself, she backed off a little to give Ryan space and to go into a more defensive stance.

Bryan looked on lovingly and sadly at Rosaline and replied, "I feel exactly the same. I wait for the moments when I can be with you, to hug you and to kiss you and to be in your loving presence."

Alex added, "And our visits keep our lives interesting, right? We'll usually have some news to report."

Ryan noticed Lisianthus backing off and he took that advantage to cast some more offensive magic spells. Specifically, he was aiming to get Lisianthus' sword out of her hand so he would have the advantage.

Avi chuckled and nodding, he replied, "You're our ears and eyes outside now. I can't imagine how it would have been like without you. We would have been completely isolated."

Lisianthus would dodge and avoid the spells that Ryan would cast at her and thankfully, she had a pretty fit and sportive body so her reflexes were quick and attentive. She would wait for a suitable moment and then charge back at Ryan with her sword again.

Alex nodded in understanding and replied, "It sure looks like it. Do the soldiers not tell you guys anything?"

Ryan continued to cast spell after spell but he tired out after a little while so he kept his distance and cast a defensive shield around himself.

(Hmm, I wonder who'd win. XD)

Avi replied, "Well, they told us about Lycoris this morning but other than that, they keep their distances. I am not sure but that's probably a good thing. They do treat us well, though."

(lol It's difficult to expect. Ryan is more powerful magically but Lisianthus is fitter. We'll see. XD)

Lisianthus saw that Ryan cast a defensive shield around himself but didn't attack him immediately, preferring to take her breathes first so she wouldn't run out of energy quickly. However, she remained on guard in case he tried to attack again.

Alex nodded and replied, "I see. It's probably for the best that they're being distant and you should be on the alert. I doubt it but if the chancellor orders something weird, you two should be ready."

Ryan took a few breaths as well, regaining his energy before attacking again. He admired how strong Lisianthus was but he wasn't going to take it easy on her.

After a couple of minutes, he attacked again but this time, his spells were a bit stronger and he aimed for the ground, as he wanted to cast a cloud of smoke around Lisianthus.

Avi nodded and replied, "Don't worry, we're always being on guard. I doubt the chancellor would do anything weird, though. He's probably focusing on that traitor between his forces now to find out who he is."

Lisianthus noticed Ryan casting his spells towards the ground and producing a cloud of smoke around her. Wanting to act quickly, she held the middle of her sword and waved it swiftly around her fingers like a fan, wanting to clear the smoke out of her way to clear her vision and not get distracted.

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah, that's true. I wonder who that traitor was. Do you know of anyone or any groups that could be against the chancellor and Sia?"

Ryan noticed that Lisianthus used her sword like a fan to disperse the clouds of smoke and he took that advantage to cast a spell to knock the sword out of her hand.

(It's up to you on whether Lisianthus loses her sword or holds on to it. XD)
