Rosaline nodded and as she got up and picked up the puppies, she replied, "That's a good idea. We could check on how she's doing, too."

Nerine didn't look very enthusiastic about getting Lycoris but she didn't voice her opinion.

Lisianthus wrapped her arms around Ryan as well and gazing happily at him, she replied,

"How I missed your arms around me, cutie. Sleeping alone wasn't ever the same, you know."

Alex nodded and gently escorting Nerine by the arm, he led the way inside the castle and upstairs towards Lycoris' room. He wanted to check on her as well and see how she was doing after the whole kidnapping attempt.

Ryan chuckled and nodding, he replied, "I feel exactly the same, beautiful."

He leaned in for a sweet good night kiss.

In her room, Lycoris was lying in bed but she looked as tired and shaken as she did earlier, as though she hadn't had any rest. She was still feeling scared from the whole incident earlier and hurt over how Nerine had been treating her recently.

Lisianthus returned the kiss happily and lovingly, pouring all her love into it. After the kiss was broken, she said happily,

"Good night, cutie, and sleep well."

Once the group arrived at the door to Lycoris' room, Alex knocked on it gently and asked,

"Lycoris, are you awake? We're going to visit Bryan and Avi."

Ryan replied happily, "Good night, my beautiful. See you in the morning."

As he laid his head on the pillow and closed his eyes, a soft warm magical light surrounded him and Lisianthus and that light would protect Lisianthus from bad dreams.

Lycoris heard Alex's voice on the other side and after a few seconds of silence, she replied,

"G-Go without me. I don't feel up to going."

The next morning, Lisianthus woke up a little after the sun rose. Although usually, she would have immediately got up to dress and get ready, she saw Ryan sleeping peacefully by her side and preferred to lovingly watch his serene face as he slept.

Lycoris' stutter didn't escape Alex and with concern in his voice, he asked,

"Is everything ok, Lycoris? Are you hurt?"

A little after Lisianthus woke up, Ryan woke up and turning to his side, he saw that Lisianthus was already awake and watching him. Smiling, he said,

"Good morning, beautiful. How long have you been awake?"

Lycoris took a moment to clear her voice and then replied,

"I'm fine. Please go."

Lisianthus returned the smile sweetly and replied happily,

"Not for long, cutie. You look like an angel sleeping, you know."

Alex sighed to himself but replied, "All right but we'll check on you later."

He then led the way away from Lycoris' room and towards Bryan and Avi's room.

Ryan blushed and replied, "You look like the angel, beautiful. Did you sleep well? No bad dreams?"

The soldiers standing on Bryan's and Avi's room saw the party approaching and nodding to them, one of them spoke up,

"Upon his majesty's orders, you may remain with the prisoners inside for as long as you want for just today."

He then knocked on the door and opened it, stepping aside for the party to enter.

Lisianthus shook her head and replied, "How could I have bad dreams sleeping in your arms, huh? Nope, I had the most peaceful sleep ever."

Alex was surprised to hear the chancellor's special order but pleased. He led the way inside the room and approaching Avi, he said,

"Hi, Avi. Doing all right?"

Ryan grinned and replied, "I'm happy to hear that."

He paused for a few moments and then said, "I know we should get up but I feel like staying here and gazing into your eyes for a little longer."

Avi approached the party eagerly and replied,

"Hey, everyone. I am alright but is Lycoris ok? How is she? Did you save her, Alex?"

Rosaline approached Bryan and smiling to him, she said, "Hey, my love. How are you?"

Lisianthus giggled a little and cuddling next to Ryan, she replied,

"We can stay here for a bit more. There is nothing special we have to do, remember? Just waiting."

Alex nodded and replied, "We were able to get her back safely. She's resting in her room now. We dropped by to invite her to come with us but she wanted to stay behind."

Bryan hugged Rosaline happily and replied, "I'm all right, my love. I see that Alex is back so he and Lycoris are ok?"

Ryan chuckled and nodding, he replied, "Yup, you're right, beautiful."

He continued to gaze happily into Lisianthus' eyes, enjoying the morning with her.

Avi was relieved to hear that Lycoris was back and alright. He replied,

"Thanks for rescuing her, Alex. I appreciate it. That jerk-if I get my hands on him, he'll get it from me alright."

Rosaline returned the hug happily and replied, "Yeah, don't worry. They came back a while earlier and both of them are ok."

Lisianthus gazed back happily into Ryan's eyes and they enjoyed a little of the morning together, she said,

"While we remain here, I think we should brush up on both of our skills. So I am thinking of doing regular practice fights with the other soldiers, for both of us and between the soldiers. What do you think?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Me, too. That moron got away but I have no doubt he'll make another attempt. But at least Rosaline will look out for her now. I don't trust the soldiers here, not after what happened."

Bryan smiled and replied, "I'm happy to hear that. I was quite worried for a while there. I wish I could have gone out to help as well."

Ryan nodded and replied, "That's a good idea, beautiful. I should brush up on my spells. I can practice with Duchess Irene."

He sat up and said, "Guess we should get this day started. We'll have plenty of time for romance later."

Avi nodded and replied, "That will be better. I wish I could go out myself and remain with her like I used to but that chancellor wouldn't let me. I am sure Rosaline would do a good job and you two look out for her too, alright?"

Rosaline patted Bryan's hand in comfort and replied, "It's ok now, my love. Alex went with the soldiers and they all came back safe and sound. That guy escaped, though, and we don't know who he is yet."

Lisianthus nodded and sitting up, she replied, "Ok. You can go ahead and get ready first."

Alex nodded and replied, "We will. I did talk to the chancellor as well about letting you go so you could look after Lycoris again. I mean, under the circumstances, you'd think he'd ease up but nope. He was absolutely adamant that you had to serve your sentence."

Bryan replied, "That's too bad about the kidnapper. It would have been good if we had some information about who he is."

Ryan nodded and after he got out of bed, he took a change of clothes and then went into the part of the tent where he could wash up and get dressed. He made sure to keep the curtain closed to ensure privacy.

Avi sighed in frustration and replied, "That man. Urgh, whatever. Just wait till Sia kicks him up. He'll be taught a lesson he'll never forget for the rest of his life."

Rosaline nodded and replied, "Yeah. Well, the best we can do now is to be careful and I'll watch over Lycoris to make sure she'll well-protected. And you too, my love, be careful, ok? You never know what that guy could plan next."

Lisianthus made the bed meanwhile and got herself a change of clothes, waiting till Ryan was done changing.

Alex smiled a bit and replied, "Yup, I'm sure that Sia will show him up. Speaking of her, I should tell you that she, Ryan, and some soldiers are camped outside the castle grounds. I think they're going to make a move soon."

Bryan nodded and replied, "I will, my love, and you be careful, too. If that kidnapper makes another attempt, he might attack you and I couldn't bear it if you got hurt."

Ryan finished washing up and changed into a pair of black jean pants and a dark green shirt. He combed his hair neatly and once he was done, he returned to Lisianthus and said,

"I'm all done, beautiful."

Avi looked a little surprised and replied, "Really? That's good. It's about time. Does the chancellor know it?"

Rosaline smiled to Bryan and replied, "I will be careful, my love, and you know how strong your Rosaline is, right? If that kidnapper tries to do anything, he'll have it coming from me."

Lisianthus nodded and smiling to Ryan, she said, "You look pretty handsome, cutie."

She then took her clothes and went to get ready, closing the curtain after her.

Alex shook his head and replied, "I don't know but the soldiers I was with did see her so they might have told the chancellor. I didn't say anything to him, though."

Bryan grinned and replied, "Good. Have no mercy on that guy for hurting and scaring Lycoris like that."

Ryan put away his clothes and then went ahead and made the bed neat. Once he was done, he took a seat in a chair and waited for Lisianthus so they could have breakfast.

Avi nodded and replied, "Well, he'll know it sooner or later but I hope he doesn't start a fight right away. If he's got some wisdom, he'd try talking to her again at least."

Rosaline grinned back and replied, "Yes, sir. I'll make you proud of your wife, my love."

She paused then said, "The soldiers said that we may spend time with you for today for as long as we want so I'm yours for the day, my love, if you won't mind my presence."

Lisianthus washed up then changed into an elegant black top and a pair of jean shorts. She brushed her hair down her shoulders and once she looked all ready, she went out and put away her clothes then said,

"I'm all done, cutie. We can go outside now."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, I hope so. It certainly wouldn't be a good idea to have a fight so soon after everything that's happened."

Bryan was excited to hear that Rosaline could stay for the rest of the day and nodding happily, he replied,

"Of course I am. I'm so happy to hear this news."

Ryan nodded and grinning, he replied, "Wow, you look beautiful, my beautiful. You'll have many eyes gazing happily at you. I should keep you close to me."

He extended his arm to Lisianthus so they could go outside.

Avi nodded and replied, "Yeah. You guys just watch out and be careful, ok? And it's best not to go out of the castle nowadays. You never know what may happen next."

Rosaline nodded happily and replied, "Same here, my love. I've been missing you so much, you know."

Lisianthus grinned and replied, "I definitely don't mind, cutie."

She held his arm and followed him out of the tent where the soldiers were preparing everything for breakfast. There were lots of tables being set for everyone and there was a big, fancy, decorated table for Lisianthus and Ryan, and a smaller but fancy one for Duchess Irene, who had already arrived and was seated quietly.

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah, we'll be careful and we'll watch out for Lycoris as well. You be careful as well, Avi. Who knows what might happen soon?"

Bryan replied, "Not as much as I missed you, my love. It's nice having Avi for company but it's not the same as being with you."

Ryan looked at the tables set up for breakfast and was quite impressed. He turned to Lisianthus and said,

"Let's say hi to Duchess Irene."

Avi nodded and replied, "Don't worry about me. I'll be careful and in case anyone tries to hurt me or Bryan, we'll stand up to him and kick him out."

Rosaline smiled and replied, "Same here, my love. Nerine and Alex are good to have for company but nothing is the same without my dear husband, you know."

Lisianthus nodded and led the way to where Irene was seated, saying,

"Good morning, Irene."

Irene smiled to them and replied, "Good morning. You had a good night, I assume?"
