Alex grinned and replied, "I have no doubt about that. With any luck, Sia will get control back over her throne and then we'll be free to leave. I can't wait to go home. I miss it so."

Bryan smiled sadly and replied, "Same here, my love. It's lonely without you."

Ryan bowed before Irene and replied, "Good morning, Duchess Irene. Yes, we both slept well last night. How about you?"

Avi smiled to Alex and replied, "I am sure you'll go back home before you know it. Think of this as an adventure or something to shake things up a little but it'll all end well, I trust it."

Rosaline hugged Bryan in comfort and replied, "Well, I'll be here with you today to make it up so don't show me this sad face, alright, my love? I can't bear to see you like that."

Irene nodded and replied, "I slept fine. We need all energy we can have before things get too exciting. Go ahead and have something to eat then we can start practicing, Ryan. I am not giving you a break."

Alex nodded and replied, "I hope so, too. I just want everything to be all right and for us to get home so my darling can be happy and safe."

He looked lovingly at Nerine.

Bryan gave a slightly happy smile and replied, "For you, my love, I won't be sad. I am happy to have this day for you so let's make the most of it."

Ryan grinned and replied, "Same here. I won't hold back."

He turned to Lisianthus and said, "Let's get some breakfast. I'm hungry."

Nerine blushed slightly but she smiled a little to Alex. Avi smiled at the couple then looking at the time, he replied,

"Hmm it's way past 30 minutes. Did the soldiers forget or something? They're quite strict about it usually, not that I am not pleased they forgot or something."

Rosaline smiled and replied, "And I know the way to start it."

She leaned in to give Bryan a sweet kiss on the lips.

Lisianthus nodded and after saying goodbye to Irene, she followed Ryan to their table. Shortly after, the soldiers presented the couple with breakfast, which was simple but delicious and filling.

Alex smiled in embarrassment and replied, "Ahh I forgot to say this but just for today, we can stay for as long as we want. The chancellor has allowed us permission. I hope you don't mind if we stay longer. It's rare to get such long visits nowadays."

Bryan happily returned the kiss, wrapping his arms around Rosaline's waist and pouring all of his love into it. The puppies looked on curiously but happily.

Ryan looked at the food presented before them and commented, "This looks delicious. We should get our fill so we can get to training after."

He took a fork and began to eat his breakfast.

Avi looked surprised but nodding happily, he replied,

"Not at all. I am glad actually. Your presence is a nice company to have and it helps pass the boredom for today."

Rosaline continued kissing Bryan for a few more sweet moments then after the kiss was broken, she looked to the puppies and giggling, she said, "You should kiss Bryan too, boys."

Lisianthus nodded happily and began eating her breakfast as well, getting energy for the day.

Alex grinned and replied, "Yup and I'm certain that my darling is happy to have the visit with you, too, right?"

He looked to Nerine happily.

The puppies barked happily and then they gave Bryan wet puppy kisses on his cheeks, which made Bryan chuckle.

As the couple ate along with the others, Ryan asked,

"So today is a training day, beautiful?"

Nerine smiled and nodding, she replied, "Of course. It's good to spend time with friends."

Rosaline giggled as well and said, "The puppies love you quite a lot, my love. I don't blame them of course."

Lisianthus nodded happily and replied, "And everyday will be so! We don't our waiting time here to be just sleeping and eating, do we? I doubt we'll be able to face the chancellor by then! So we'll keep ourselves fit and strong!"

Alex nodded happily and then turning back to Avi, he asked, "So has there been any news lately? Anything other than what we've told you?"

Bryan chuckled happily and gently petting the puppies, he replied, "I love them, too. They're quite adorable."

Ryan nodded happily and replied, "Yup, that makes sense. Can any of the soldiers use magic? It might be useful to practice with them as well."

Avi sighed in boredom and replied, "Where will I get news from? Nope, nothing special. Just me and Bryan stuck here hoping that time will pass quickly."

Rosaline smiled and replied, "They are and a great company, too. I don't feel as much lonely with them around."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Yup, like I told you before, at least half of the soldiers are trained to use magic so there's a variety of everything. No worries."

She finished breakfast and waited for Ryan to do the same.

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah. But if you are bored, we can bring you more things. Maybe some games or something?"

Bryan smiled and replied, "I'm glad they make you happy. We should get a female puppy, too, and call her Rosaline."

Ryan soon finished his breakfast as well and once he was done, he turned to Lisianthus and said,

"I should go see Duchess Irene so we can train for the day. I'll see you for lunch, beautiful?"

Avi shook his head and replied, "Nah, it's fine. No need to trouble you or anything. The books you brought earlier are still keeping me a little occupied. It's just that I wish I could go outside more, spend more time with you, guys. It's fine."

Rosaline giggled and replied, "Sure, we can do that once we're back home. I can't wait to see your home at Devenshire."

Lisianthus nodded happily and replied, "Sure, cutie. See you then."

She gave him a quick kiss then headed off to start training with the other soldiers.

Alex nodded and replied, "It's ridiculous how they aren't allowing either you or Bryan to go outside, at least for exercise. It isn't healthy to stay indoors all the time."

Bryan looked excited and nodding happily, he replied, "And I can't wait to show it to you, my love. You'll like it a lot and our boys will, too. There's plenty of room to run around."

Ryan walked towards Irene and once he arrived, he bowed before her and said,

"Ok, I'm ready to start."

Avi sighed and replied, "Just let the time pass and I'll be fine."

There was a knock on the door and a soldier entered, then he said,

"It's dinnertime. Guests, would you like to have dinner with the prisoners or outside?"

Irene smiled to Ryan and nodding, she replied, "Good. Let us brush things up a little then."

They both started training together, with Irene quickly reminding Ryan of a few things first before starting the real action.

Alex replied, "Well, I'd like to have dinner with Avi and Bryan but what about everyone else?"

He looked to Nerine and Rosaline for replies.

Ryan listened as Irene gave instructions and once that was done, the pair faced off against each other, casting spell after spell, trying their best to cast magic offensively and defensively.

Nerine nodded and replied, "I don't mind."

Rosaline nodded as well and replied, "Of course. I'd love to have dinner with my love."

The soldier nodded then left to bring dinner for everyone.

Irene fought hard with Ryan, giving him her best. She was pretty powerful but Ryan was, too, and she didn't hold back.

As the party waited for dinner, Alex commented,

"Should we ask Lycoris to join us? I'd feel awful if she were to eat alone. She shouldn't be by herself after what happened."

Ryan continued to cast powerful spells at Irene but made sure that the spells he cast would only disarm her and not hurt her. He wanted to practice the spells he thought would be most useful in an upcoming battle.

Avi nodded immediately and replied, "Please do so, Alex. I do want to see her, too."

Seeing how the party was set on getting Lycoris, Nerine said, "Do you want me to go get her?"

She thought that she could simply give the idea to Lycoris and knowing that she'd probably refuse, she wouldn't try to convince her and would simply return without her.

Irene would do her best to avoid Ryan's attacks although they'd occasionally hit her. She thought of how strong he was but she wasn't giving up[ yet, and would cast attacks back at him.

Alex shook his head and replied, "Oh I can get her, darling. You rest here and chat with Avi. I won't be long."

He gave Nerine a quick kiss and then headed out of the room but let the soldiers know that he would return soon. Then he headed to Lycoris' room.

Ryan would dodge the attacks that Irene would direct towards him although a couple would hit him. He took mental notes and made sure to react faster or try a different technique.

Nerine groaned to herself as Alex left to get Lycoris before she could say anything, but thankfully, Avi didn't catch her.

Meanwhile, Lycoris was still as she was in her room, her state not much changed.

Irene saw Ryan dodging most of her attacks while getting hit by a few, so she attacked a with larger attacks to increase the chance of hitting, although it depleted her energy so she made sure not to overdo it.

Alex reached the door to Lycoris' room and once he arrived, he knocked gently and said,

"Lycoris, it's me, Alex. May I come in?"

Ryan noticed Irene using larger attacks and some of them did hit him although he was able to dodge some as well. He continued to make mental notes to himself, figuring out what attacks would work and which ones he'd avoid.

Lycoris was a little surprised to hear Alex wanting to come in but she replied,

"Come in."

She sat up in bed and tidied her hair meanwhile.

Irene continued casting attacks for a while but she felt her energy eventually running out so she stopped to take her breathes. Smiling to Ryan, she said,

"Impressive, Ryan. Really impressive."

Alex opened the door and after entering Lycoris' room, he closed the door. Then he approached her and took a seat in a chair next to bed. Looking at her gently, he asked,

"How are you, Lycoris? I haven't had a chance to check on you since the whole mess earlier."

Ryan stopped to take a breath as well and smiling, he replied, "Thanks. Your magic is quite impressive, too."

(I'm getting sleepy here and it's getting late so I should get off for the night now and get some sleep. I'll check back tomorrow and post again. Nite, nite, Love. ^^)

Lycoris nodded and quietly replied, "I'm alright. Thank you again for coming for me earlier. I don't know what may have happened to me otherwise."

Her voice was a bit shaken but she took a moment to calm it down then continued,

"Why are you here? I mean, is something the matter?"

Irene replied, "Why, thank you, Ryan. I've rarely seen such a talented sorcerer so young, too. I'd learn a lot from you myself."

Alex reached out to gently touched Lycoris' hands and replied, "Well, I wanted to invite you to dinner with me, Nerine, Rosaline, Avi, and Bryan. The chancellor gave us permission to spend as much time as we want them for today."

He paused for a few moments and then continued, "Are you all right? That kidnapper won't get anywhere near you ever again, not if I can help it."

Ryan blushed over Irene's praise and replied, "I'm glad that my magic is powerful. I want to do everything I can to help and protect Sia."
