Megan replied, "Yup, yup! Pegasuses are my favorite animals ever."

Stacey replied, "They sure are beautiful creatures. We're lucky to have them."

Alex escorted Nerine and as they followed the others, he whispered to Nerine,

"Darling, if you'd like, we can spend the evening by ourselves instead."

William nodded happily and replied,

"Yup. You know, they're some sort of angels to me. Beautiful, magical, kind and brave. We should definitely try to get one in the future."

Nerine turned to Alex and she whispered,

"I'm fine with anything really. Whatever you prefer. It doesn't matter to me."

Megan nodded happily and replied, "Yup, yup!"

Stacey added, "You know, pegasuses remind me of you and we can never have enough of our handsome."

Megan giggled happily.

Alex nodded and whispered back, "Ok. Let's spend a little time with the others and then we can have some alone time in our room before we go to sleep."

Everyone had reached Bryan and Rosaline's room and Bryan found a deck of cards to play.

William blushed and replied shyly, "Now, now, you're flattering me too much. Me, a pegasus? Nah. But you are angels to me, that's sure."

While everyone got ready to play and took their seats, Nerine sat nearby, to just watch the others. Avi helped Lycoris into a seat as well although, of course, she couldn't watch.

Stacey and Megan blushed happily and Stacey replied,

"Well, if we're angels, it's only fair that we compare you to a pegasus."

Megan nodded and replied, "That's right!"

Once everyone was seated, either to participate in the game or to watch, Bryan dealt out the cards and thus, everyone enjoyed the evening with the cards as entertainment.

William chuckled happily and replied, "Alright, if you insist. But since you flatter me so, it's only right to flatter you back and call you the most beautiful, kindest and most wonderful angels ever. But hmm, that's the truth so I am just telling the facts now."

As the evening passed and the party continued to enjoy their time, there was a loud knock on the door, a rough and stern one. Behind the door were a couple of armed soldiers, who had come to escort the party to the chancellor.

Stacey and Megan blushed happily and Stacey replied, "If that's the case, then our William is the strongest, bravest, kindest, and most handsome man ever."

Megan added, "I couldn't have said it any better."

Bryan heard a loud knock on the door and looking alarmed, he whispered,

"I wonder if I should answer that. It doesn't sound good."

He had a bad feeling of what was about to happen and didn't have a plan for dealing with it.

William blushed happily and replied happily, "I am so flattered and honored to have you two think of me so highly. I hope I can keep this good impression with you forever."

Rosaline looked alarmed as well and after a moment of thoughtful silence, she replied,

"I don't think it would be wise to do otherwise. Better answer it and see who it is and hope for the best."

Avi looked pretty nervous but did his best to calm his nerves and nodding slowly, he said, "That's for the best. Resisting isn't really an option."

Stacey replied, "We have no doubt about that, handsome."

Megan nodded, agreeing wholeheartedly with Stacey.

Bryan nodded and replied, "Ok. I'll get it then."

He got up and after taking a deep breath, he walked to the door and opened it and noticed the soldiers. As calmly as he could, he said,

"Is there something I can help you with?"

(I'll be going to work in a bit but I'll back this evening so I can post again then. ^^)

William smiled happily and the family continued enjoying each others' company, spending the afternoon as the time went on.

The soldiers looked sternly at Bryan and one of them spoke up,

"Good evening, sir. We apologize for the disturbance but his majesty requires your presence immediately and we've been ordered to escort you, as well as your friends."

(Back and finally free now. ^^)

As they continued to chat, Megan asked, "Can we take a short walk before dinner?"

Stacey nodded and replied, "Sure. A walk would be nice."

Bryan had a feeling what the whole matter was obvious and trying to be as calm as possible, he nodded and replied, "Ok. Let me get everyone else."

He then left the door a little open while he returned to the others. He approached Avi and whispered,

"There are a couple of soldiers who want to take us to the chancellor. No matter what, we have to stay calm, ok?"

William nodded in agreement and replied, "Yup, sure, we could use the exercise."

He got up and extended his hand to Megan and his arm to Stacey and once they took them and got up, he led the way on their walk around.

Avi looked like he was about to lose it although he did his best to take deep breathes and not show any nervousness. Rosaline nodded and trying to stay calm as well, she replied,

"Yeah, I agree. Let's go."

She got up and Avi did as well, helping Lycoris up then waited for Alex and Nerine so they could follow the soldiers to the chancellor.

Stacey and Megan walked on each side of William and enjoyed the late afternoon walk as well as each other's company. Megan looked on in wonder at all the beauties of nature and would point out the interesting sights to the others.

Alex helped Nerine up as well and then the couple followed the others as they were escorted by the soldiers towards the chancellor.

Meanwhile, Bryan was thinking of possible ideas in case the chancellor did finally conclude that he and Avi were the ones responsible for knocking the soldiers unconscious.

William would look at the sights Megan pointed out and he would comment admiringly at them, loving the nature around them and the beauties they could admire. He commented,

"I always loved nature but I also love witnessing different kinds of them. The nature is definitely different from the usual one in forests and such."

The soldiers escorted the group away from the room and towards the chancellor's office. After a bit of walking, they led the group into the office after knocking, where the chancellor was waiting. Inside, there were about four more soldiers, waiting behind the chancellor.

Looking sternly at them, he gestured for them to sit down. Once they did, he spoke up,

"I apologize for bringing you again this way, gentlemen, but you'll understand the nature of this matter, as it's quite important indeed."

Stacey replied, "Definitely. I like how the flowers here are unique to the island. They're very tropical in nature and they wouldn't be found on the mainland."

Megan asked, "Why's that?"

Stacey replied, "It's because of the weather and the uniqueness of the land here."

Bryan looked calmly at the chancellor and replied,

"If it's urgent, then we understand but what is this about, your majesty?"

Alex noticed the soldiers and asked, "I don't mean to be rude but is it really necessary for these soldiers to be here as well? Couldn't they just wait outside or something?"

William nodded in understanding and replied, "It's very interesting how some plants grow only in special places because of special conditions. It's like they can only eat one kind of food to grow. It's very unique."

The chancellor turned to Alex and with a sharp look in his eyes, he replied calmly,

"Pardon me, sir Alex, but I'm more than sure their presence isn't much of an annoyance, unless there's a reason you don't want them around?"

Megan nodded and replied, "Ahh I see. So plants that are near home wouldn't be found here?"

Stacey nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right."

Alex sighed inwardly and replied, "No, I'm fine with them around but the ladies..."

Instinctively, he wrapped an arm around Nerine's waist, as though to protect her from any harm.

William replied, "Hey, it what makes every place special, right? If all places were like each other, it would have been quite boring in a way, right?"

Nerine blushed slightly as Alex wrapped an arm around her, as though he were trying to protect her from harm. The chancellor kept his sharp look and replied,

"My soldiers aren't here to hurt anyone, if that's what you're implying. However, I'm deeply wounded that you, sirs, would hurt them, and knock out two of them for some reasons I've yet to understand."

His look was stern and sharp as he clearly accused them for his soldiers' knockout.

Megan giggled and replied, "That's true."

Stacey smiled and added, "Our William sure is smart, isn't he?"

Bryan pretended to look confused and replied, "Your majesty, I have no idea what you're talking about-."

Suddenly, Alex had an idea and he cut off Bryan by saying, "Oh there's no use, Bryan. If you're not going to confess what you did and talked Avi into it, then I will."

Bryan gave Alex a look but Alex gave him one back, implying that he knew what he was doing.

Alex then turned to the chancellor and said, "I hope that you're a forgiving soul, your majesty. I will explain everything if you let me."

William chuckled lightly and replied, "It's just common sense. I love nature and everything but I enjoy its variation, if anything. I wouldn't take it much if it were all the same everywhere."

The chancellor raised an eyebrow, but he replied, "I let you. Go ahead."

Megan replied, "So if everything were the same, it would be boring?"

Stacey replied, "I agree. I like variety in nature as well as in other things."

Alex looked at the chancellor and said, "Well, you may not be aware of this but Bryan and I grew up together as kids. Bryan lost his parents when he was quite young and my parents raised him. You can talk to them to verify this.

Anyway, you wouldn't know it now by looking at him but Bryan had a very rebellious streak as a teenager. Sure, he looks well-behaved now but when we were teens, Bryan had this crazy idea. He didn't want to be a musician like his parents. Instead, he wanted to be a palace soldier and fight and all that. But my parents put that idea down quickly, as that wasn't Bryan's parents' wish."

Alex sighed and after taking a moment, he continued, "I thought that Bryan no longer had that idea but I was wrong. He talked to me about wanting to 'pretend' to be a soldier and stuff like that and he tried to get me to go along with idea. But I refused to do so so he talked to Avi and Avi agreed. I warned Bryan that they would get caught and that's what ended up happening.

I do apologize for the trouble Bryan has caused but as you can see, it was a prank although a lame one."

Bryan realized what Alex was doing and deciding to go along with the explanation, he hung his head down in shame although he didn't say anything.

(Man, that was long. lol)

William nodded in agreement and replied, "Yup, that's true. I mean, everything is beautiful and magical but if there was just one kind of things, we would get tired of them pretty quickly. Fortunately though, that's not the case and we can enjoy all different kinds of plants and animals."

Rosaline was a little surprised by Alex's explanation but didn't show it, and instead nodded and replied,

"Yeah, Alex is right. I tried talking Bryan out of it, too, but I couldn't so he ended up going along with his idea. I hope you can forgive him, his majesty. He tends to act crazy sometimes but he's really a good person."

The chancellor had his eyebrow raised and was silent for a moment, taking in what Alex said. Then, he calmly turned to Bryan and asked,

"And then, sir Bryan? Where did you go, pretending that you're a soldier?"

Megan nodded happily and replied, "Yup, that's right!"

Stacey replied, "Exactly. And I can't wait to take you both to other places where there are even more variety of plants and animals. You'll truly enjoy them."

Bryan took a moment to collect his thoughts and then quietly replied, "We explored around the castle. I wanted to take a look at the armory and all those places. I really didn't mean any harm. Please forgive me."

Alex replied, "I believe your majesty to be a forgiving soul. Please forgive Bryan for his foolish act."

William smiled happily and replied, "I can't wait, pretty. I'm looking forward to all the places we can go to and enjoy ourselves, being in each other's company."

The chancellor took a couple of moments to think things over and kept his eyes thoughtfully over Bryan. He finally replied, the sharp look still in his eyes,

"I do find it difficult to believe that such a calm, well-behaved person such as Sir Bryan who's such a talented piano player would have such rebellious thoughts and would do such an irrational action and to keep denying it, but I'm not going to disbelieve you. However, I am not sure if I can keep a person who has hurt two of my soldiers moving around freely."

Stacey replied, "And that'll be the best part. That we're all together while we're exploring foreign lands."

Megan nodded and replied, "Definitely! I can't wait for more vacations."

Alex nodded and replied, "Of course, your majesty. I understand your position in all of this. We are planning to leave soon anyway so Bryan will be here for not much longer. But if you truly feel that he should be punished, perhaps he should return to the human world early? Rosaline and the puppies would accompany him, of course, to make sure that he causes no more trouble.

And as for Avi, well, I'm sure he won't cause any more trouble. He only went along with Bryan's idea so once Bryan is gone, Avi won't cause any problems, right?"
