Romance RP

The shapeshifter replied,

Well, I suppose there's nothing we can do but that for now. But if she doesn't contact any of you by tonight, we'll have to think of another plan. There's always the probability that the fake personality will remain in control.

Alex replied,

I see.  Well, I hope that the real Lycoris will break through before then.  I can't stand this impostor taking over Lycoris' body.

The shapeshifter replied,

None of us do. Her appearance spoiled everything.

She paused then said,

Thanks for letting me know about things as soon as they happened. Tell me if anything else comes up.

Alex replied,

I will.  If there isn't anything else, I'll go for now but I'll keep you informed of any updates.

The shapeshifter replied,

Alright. I'll be waiting for your next call.

She shut off the telepathy and inwardly hoped that things with Lycoris fix themselves soon.

Alex then turned to Nerine and said,

"Ok, I finished talking to the shapeshifter and have kept her informed on what's going on.  She says, though, that if the real Lycoris doesn't make contact by tonight, then we might have to come up with another plan.  I don't really think that's necessary, though.  I mean, isn't waiting enough?"

Nerine looked thoughtful then replied,

"She has a point though. I mean, if the real Lycoris will show up at anytime after Duchess Irene talked to her, it would be soon, right? If nothing happened by tonight, then the plan probably failed. I guess that's how the shapeshifter is thinking?"

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "I guess.  I mean, I understand the shapeshifter's thinking and all.  It's just that I think we just need to wait.  If we push too soon, things might backfire, you know?"

Nerine nodded and replied, "That's right. I understand. Well, hopefully...the real Lycoris contacts us and we don't have to wonder about what else to do."

She paused then said, "Are you going to talk to Ryan now?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah, I will.  I'll use the telepathy to contact you in case I run into problems while talking to Ryan.  You'll stay here, right, darling?"

Nerine nodded and replied,

"Yes, I am not going anywhere. I'll wait here until you come back or contact me. Good luck working things out."

Alex nodded and replied, "Thanks, darling."

He gave Nerine a quick kiss on the lips and then left the room to look for Ryan.  He decided to go outside first, figuring that Ryan might be either out in the gardens or at the stables.

Meanwhile, Nerine remained in the bedroom, hoping that everything will go well between Ryan and Alex. Although she didn't like Ryan very much, she could tell how much Lisianthus cared about and loved him and fixing things between them was the key to getting her to be happy again.

Meanwhile, Alex found Ryan in the stables and began trying to talk sense into him, telling him that he knew of his situation with Lisianthus and the problems they appeared to be having.  Ryan sighed and replied that he understood although he felt that he needed to give Lisianthus her space.

Alex felt frustrated by this and using his telepathy, he reached out to Nerine and said,

Darling, are you there?

Nerine heard Alex's message and guessed that things weren't go so smoothly with Ryan. She replied,

Yes, I am here, Alex. How is everything doing?

Alex replied,

I'm trying to talk some sense into Ryan but he keeps insisting that Sia needs her space.  I don't know what I should do.  I've been trying the gentle approach with him but should I get more aggressive?

Nerine sighed and replied,

I can't imagine Ryan giving up so easily and letting things be. I thought he's the kind of guy who likes to directly face things. But if gentleness isn't working out with him, then being more aggressive might help?

Alex replied,

I guess I could try that but what would I say?  He's so convinced that Sia needs her space and he told me that whenever he tried to confront Sia, she'd say that she was too busy to see him.

(Sorry I'm late. I had a few things to take care of at college after classes and all so I came back home late.)

Nerine was thoughtful then replied,

And when she would say that, he would just leave her be? Does he understand that she's only trying to avoid him? And avoiding each other won't solve anything. They must face things and talk things out. Did you tell him that?

(Ahh no problem.  ^^)

Alex replied,

Yeah, I did but he's so convinced that Sia needs her space.  I don't want to be mean to him since he's in a sort of fragile state as well but yeah.

Nerine sighed and after a moment of silence, she quietly asked,

Did you tell him how Lisianthus was when we saw her? How depressed and miserable she seemed? How is he so convinced that she needs to be alone when she's only suffering by herself?

Alex furrowed his eyebrows and replied,

Hmm, I haven't but do you think he would end up being worried enough to go to Sia despite her wish to push everyone away?

Nerine replied,

Well, if he really loves and cares about her, he must. I can't bear remembering how Sia looked and imagining how depressed she must be feeling inside. Doesn't he want to make her feel better at all?

Alex replied,

Hmm, so perhaps I should appeal to his more compassionate side?  Let him know that inside, Sia is really in a lot of pain and she needs him, even if she doesn't realize it?

Nerine replied,

Yes, that should work. Doesn't he claim to be madly in love with her? Then just hearing about her condition should make him run to her and do everything he can to fix things between them. If he truly loves her, he won't stand to have her in pain.
