Romance RP

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Sure, sounds good.  Should I also make the dressing for the salad?"

(Coolies, I just responded. ^^)

Anjela nodded happily and replied, "Sure. I can't wait to taste your salad."

She started cutting up the beef and vegetables as well as preparing the pot to cook them all.

(Thanks.  I sent back one more reply.  Apologies if it's a bit annoying.  I just want some reassurance and all.  ^^)

Matthew grinned and after rolling up his sleeves, he took out the vegetables for the salad and quickly rinsed them.  Then he cut them up and put them into a large bowl.

(Aww hey, don't say that. ^^ I am happy to help. ^^)

Anjela continued cooking the beef stew and she had put all the ingredients in the pot and started cooking them. She would also add certain spices and dressings to make it more delicious. She then left them to cook, and it smelled quite delicious.

Matthew was soon finished making the salad and then he went on to make the dressing.  He decided on a nice caesar dressing, which he hoped Anjela would like.  He smelled the beef stew cooking and commented,

"That smells so good."

(No problem. Glad I could help. ^^)

Anjela smiled softly at Matthew and said, "Heh, I hope it will taste as good. It's almost done."

Indeed, the stew was soon all cooked and Anjela started plating it for her and Matthew.

Matthew soon finished making the dressing and he carried the large bowl of salad and the bottle of dressing over to the table.  He said,

"I made caesar dressing.  It's a bit on the creamy side but I hope you like it."

Anjela looked curiously at the dressing and replied, "We don't have that here so this will be my first time trying it. But since you made it, I am sure I'll like it."

She winked flirtatiously at him then as she had finished plating the beef stew, she put the plates on the table. She then said, "Dinner is all ready. Let's eat."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Yup."

He took his spoon and then ate a spoonful of beef stew.  After swallowing, he said,

"This tastes as wonderful as it smells.  It's even better than the beef stew I made."

Anjela smiled softly and replied, "I am glad you like it but I did like that beef stew you made back then. It's just that I couldn't enjoy it very much because of the state I was in at the time."

She smiled sheepishly then reaching out for the salad, she put a little of the caesar dressing and took a forkful. She swallowed it and smiling, she said,

"This is very delicious. I love this dressing."

Matthew smiled and replied, "I'm happy you like it.  I wasn't sure whether to go for a creamy dressing or an oily one.  People have their preferences and all.  I assume it's the same with devils."

Anjela chuckled softly and nodding, she said,

"Of course. I like it though. It's creamy and it softens the salad, adding such a taste to it. And it goes very well with the stew."

She continued eating her dinner, getting her fill.

Matthew grinned and replied, "Yup, you're right about that."

He continued to eat his stew and salad, getting his fill as well.  He commented, "I really am the luckiest man.  I get to have your cooking and it sure is the best."

Anjela blushed slightly but she smiled softly and said,

"I'd be happy to cook for you whenever you want. Heh, they say the shortest way to a man's heart is through his stomach so is that true for you as well? Although I think I have your heart already."

She blushed a bit deeper and gazed fondly at Matthew.

(Thanks.  Figured I should try to get back to some semblance of normalcy.  It helps to calm the mind, too.  ^^)

Matthew smiled fondly at Anjela and reaching out to touch her hand, he replied, "You do.  You have my heart and all of me forever.  And you're right about food and a man's stomach although I doubt my hunger will be anywhere near Alex's."

He chuckled a bit.

(Yup, I totally agree with you there. I like when things just go as expected, no surprises. Well, unless they are happy ones but that doesn't tend to happen. lol)

Anjela chuckled a bit as well and nodding, she said,

"Yes, I've seen that for myself a couple of times. He has a huge appetite although it may not show on him. But he's also got a huge heart. I owe it to him that I opened up to anybody in the first place. I was a lot worse before I met him."

(lol  I can empathize with you there.  ^^)

Matthew gazed at Anjela and replied, "Really?  Well, that doesn't surprise me to hear that.  Alex has a very kind heart and he can get just about anyone to open up to him.  Actually, when were teenagers, all the girls wanted him but he didn't want to have any of that."

He chuckled a little more.

Anjela chuckled a bit and replied,

"It doesn't surprise me. He's a guy ladies would want. Hmm he told me once about a curse on his family's men that would actually attract ladies to them and they would be tempted to love them back. Do you think that curse would have worked on me too eventually, had I spent more time around him?"

She looked thoughtful, seriously wondering about the matter.

Matthew looked thoughtful and replied, "Perhaps but from what I know of that curse, it only works if the lady in question doesn't have anyone else she loves.  But heh, I'm glad that curse didn't apply to you.  I would've had no choice but to fight Alex for your affection."

He looked teasingly at Anjela.

Anjela chuckled a little more and looking back teasingly at Matthew, she said,

"Now that would have been a sight to see. Two handsome men fighting for my affection. Don't worry about a thing, though. There is only one man who was able to make his way through to my heart and he's right here in front of me."

She smiled fondly at him.

Matthew smiled fondly back at Anjela and gently pressed his lips on the back of Anjela's hand.  He replied, "And you are the only woman to have my heart, my Anjela."

He felt so happy just being with her and didn't need or want anyone else.

Anjela blushed deeply and her heart beat fast with warmth and happiness. She gazed lovingly at Matthew and gently squeezed his hand and she, too, felt happy and at peace just being with him.

They continued having their dinner happily, enjoying the food and each other's company, soon finishing up.

After Matthew finished his dinner, he smiled and said, 

"That was so delicious.  Thanks for the meal, Anjela.  It was wonderful."

Anjela smiled softly and replied, "You're most welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it and I loved the salad."

She got up and started collecting the dirty plates and utensils so she could wash them and clean up.

Matthew got up and helped Anjela gather the dirty dishes and such so that they could take care of the clean up.  He said,

"We should do the dishes together.  Isn't that a thing couples do?"
