Irene was curious to what Ryan meant but she replied,

That depends on the crime although nobles here have some sort of protection. It's not easy to file a complaint against a noble in the first place. Why do you ask?

Ryan replied,

Well, I learned that Lycoris was kidnapped and umm, ok, I should explain from the beginning.


He then told Duchess Irene about what had happened to Lycoris and Alex, not leaving any details out.

Irene was surprised as she listened to all the details from Ryan. After he was finished, she replied,

Duke Collins did all of this? What's gone wrong with that man? Has he gone out of his mind?


She paused then overcoming her surprise, she replied,

I'll see what I can do but it won't be easy to prove anything wrong on his part. Especially that there would be no witnesses-his men are surely to be on his side and no anyone's word is counted on this. But I'll see if there are any measures I can take.

Ryan replied,

Thank you, my lady.  I would appreciate that very much.  In the meantime, Alex and Lycoris will stay here with us and as my place is magically protected, Duke Collins won't be able to find them here.  

Irene replied,

Yes, that's the best course of action right now. I'll let you know if I know anything about what happened to Lisianthus, and if there was anything I could do against Duke Collins.

Ryan replied,

Thank you.  I hope I'll hear from you again later.


He then shut off the telepathy and waited for Lisianthus to get back.  He wanted to check up on the others, to see if any of them had woken up yet.

Lisianthus had finished washing up the glasses and returned to Ryan. She happily said, 

"All done! What do we do now?"

Ryan replied, "I'd like to check on the others upstairs.  In case one of them woke up, I should let Lady Penelope know.  I know how much she was worried for her daughter, so at the very least, I should do that.  Is that ok with you, beautiful?"

Lisianthus nodded happily and replied, "Sure, no problem. I want them to wake up too. Maybe they can play with us."

She giggled happily at her comment.

Ryan chuckled and replied, "Well, that certainly would relieve some tension and exercise always helps."

He waited for Lisianthus to pick up Nala and then gently holding her arm, he led the way upstairs to Alex's and Nerine's room.

Lisianthus picked up Nala in her arms and followed Ryan upstairs. Anjela was still sleeping on Matthew's shoulder and Lycoris was still unconscious.

Ryan and Lisianthus made it back upstairs and opening the door quietly, he saw that everyone was still asleep.  He then closed the door and turning to Lisianthus, he said,

"It looks like they're all still asleep.  I guess we'll just have to keep ourselves occupied for a while longer."

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off for the night now but I'll post again tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lisianthus looked a bit disappointed but then she happily said, "More gaming then! I am so beating you this time."

She paused then curiously, she said, "Hey, Ryan. Who's the woman next to Matthew? I haven't seen her before. Oh wait, wait. Is she Lady Penelope's daughter? The mysterious one who wears a cloak all the time?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, that's right.  But you've seen her although she's always had her hood on."

He thought to himself and wondered if Anjela didn't have her hood on.

(I don't remember if Anjela is actually sleeping without her hood.  lol)

(Ahh she took her whole cloak off shortly after they arrived at Nerine's room. I checked again to make sure I wrote that and I did. XD She was tired and it was just Matthew in the room so she took it off, not knowing she would fall asleep later and be seen by the others and all. XD)

Lisianthus curiously replied, "Oh she doesn't have her hood on now. I noticed that because it is my first time seeing her without it. Well, maybe I have seen her before but I don't remember? I didn't get why she walks around wearing a cloak all the time but I guess I can understand now."

She was referring to Anjela's scars, which were pretty visible.

(Ahh ok.  XD)

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, I can understand, too, although she really has no reason to conceal herself.  But yeah, let's leave them be and we shouldn't mention that we actually saw her.  She might feel a little self-consciousness."

Lisianthus nodded right away and replied, "Yes, yes, I understand. I won't mention anything to her at all."

She smiled slyly though and giggling happily, she said, "Hee, hee. I did tell Matt the night before it was going to be a date though, didn't I? You've seen how close they are? I can sense a couple when I see it!"

Ryan chuckled and replied, "Maybe but hey, I'd advise keeping the teasing to a minimum around them.  Let's just see how those two get on.  Meanwhile, up for another game or do you want to do something else?"

Lisianthus pouted and replied, "Oh I wouldn't tease them. I am so going to help them get together. I love matchmaking and I promised Matt I'll help him find a soulmate."

She grinned then said, "But okay, I am totally up for another game! I'll beat you this time."

Ryan chuckled and replied, "Let's go then."

He led the way downstairs and outside, where the net and ball were still were, eager to play another game.

After the couple went outside, Lisianthus took her place on one side of the net and fetched the ball. She looked happily at Ryan and said, 

"Here goes, incoming!"

After Ryan had taken his position as well, she happily threw the ball over the net at him to start another game.

Ryan watched the ball as it headed towards his side and he tossed it right back towards Lisianthus' side.

Meanwhile, Nala was watching the game curiously.

Lisianthus threw the ball back again at Ryan, determined to win. The couple continued watching the activity for the rest of the morning, enjoying their time.

Ryan and Lisianthus continued to toss the ball back and forth, both of them having fun and feeling determined.

As it was almost lunchtime, Ryan took a breath and said,

"Hey, beautiful, is it ok if we start making lunch?  I'm getting a bit hungry."

Lisianthus nodded happily and as she took her breaths as well, she replied,

"Yes, totally ok. I am getting hungry too. All that playing sure burned a lot of calories!"

She looked to Nala and said, "Bet my girl is hungry too!"
