Romance RP

Alex smiled back at her and continued to cook the food.  He soon finished and took out two plates.  He placed the food on them and took out some juice that was still fresh.  He poured a couple of glasses of juice and took out some utensils.  He then placed all of the food and drinks before Lycoris and himself and he said,

"I'm all done.  You should eat and if you want more, just let me know.  There's also some juice that's still good."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, I'm sure what they have is true love and I want to believe that true love will always win."

He paused and then asked, "What are you going to do when you leave?"

Lycoris smiled softly and nodding, she said, 

"It smells great as usual."

As she was pretty hungry, she reached out to take a bite of her food right away then happily commented, "Yum, perfect. It is so delicious."

The shapeshifter didn't reply right away, as she remembered that she would have time finally for her number one goal: killing Lisianthus. Although that wouldn't be as satisfying if she didn't recall her memories by then.

She smirked under her hood but she said, "I'll finally have time for what I truly seek although it might be a little delayed."

Alex smiled and replied, "I'm glad you like it."

He took a bite of his food and added, "Yup, it's good.  We definitely need this."

Matthew raised an eyebrow and replied, "You sound mysterious when you say that, but I can understand wanting to have goals and get them done."

Lycoris nodded and smiling, she said, "Definitely. I am really hungry and the food is so delicious as you always make it, Alex."

She continued eating and looking thoughtful, she said, "I want to learn how to cook too. I want to take care of you just like you take care of me all the time."

The shapeshifter was thoughtfully silent for a moment then looking at Matthew, she asked,

"How long would it be before that queen recalls her memories?"

Alex replied, "I'd be happy to teach you sometime if you'd like.  I mean, you already know how to make cookies and I can certainly teach you to cook other foods, too."

Matthew wondered why the shapeshifter would ask about Lisianthus but he replied, "It depends on each person.  In Sia's case, if Ryan can really help her along with regaining her memories, then maybe a couple of weeks?  In some cases, it could take months.  I've never encountered a case where magic was used, though, so I can't say for sure."

Lycoris nodded happily and said, "Yes, I'd like that. Umm it might be a bit more difficult because I can't see but it is possible, right?"

The shapeshifter furrowed her eyebrows and after a moment of thoughtful silence, she said,

"So you think Lycoris' magic might make things different? She might not remember at all?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, of course.  You still have your hearing and your sense of touch and smell and they're more than enough to be able to help you cook.  There are people who can't see who can cook for themselves, so I can certainly help you."

Matthew replied, "It is possible although I'm sure Ryan will do everything he can to help Sia remember.  But there are a few cases where the person never regains their memory.  That's why I said it depends on the case."

Lycoris nodded happily, excited at the idea and said, "I can't wait. Then I would cook for you and pamper you just as wonderfully as you deserve."

She smiled softly at him and continued eating.

The shapeshifter groaned to herself and although she said nothing, her hands clenched into fists angrily. She could take advantage of the situation and killing Lisianthus would be easier, but then how would she taunt her before she finished her off?

Alex chuckled and replied, "Aww you already pamper me with just your radiant presence but I do look forward to your cooking."

He continued to eat, soon finishing up.

Matthew looked at the shapeshifter and said, "You know, I can't help but wonder.  You don't seem like you'd be friends with Sia, so why the questions?"

Lycoris blushed at Alex's comment and continued eating as well, soon finishing up. She gratefully commented,

"Thanks so much, Alex, for the wonderful meal. I feel better already."

The shapeshifter bit her lower lips then smirking, she said,

"I can tell you but I guarantee you will like me a lot less if you care about her, or like her a lot less because of her actions. Are you sure you want me to answer?"

Alex smiled softly and replied, "I'm glad to hear it.  I'll go take care of the clean up and then we can rest if you'd like.  You must be quite tired."

He knew that Lycoris hadn't slept last night and thought that she might want to take a nap.

Matthew nodded and replied, "Go ahead.  I mean, I'm already curious so it's too late to back down from wanting to know."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yeah. I can use some rest. I am not as tired as I am a bit wobbly. Do you think the hit on my head might have something to do with it?"

The shapeshifter shrugged and replied, "You asked for it."

She took a breath and frowning a but, she said, "She killed my husband and my baby. So you can imagine what I want to do."

Alex replied, "Probably although you didn't really sleep much last night, right?  So you definitely should get some rest and I'll be right beside you the entire time."

He got up and gathered the dirty dishes and such to wash in the ink.

Matthew nodded slowly and replied, "Yeah, I can guess as much but how did Sia do such a thing?"

He can't imagine the Lisianthus he had been seeing as some sort of murderer.

Lycoris smiled softly and nodded. She waited until Alex was finished cleaning up. She did want to rest although she had a lot on her mind as well, as she had unfinished work and the captain's soldiers attacking her awakened certain things in her.

The shapeshifter replied, "My husband was a soldier in the army, and was unlucky enough to be of those who went after the devils' king, who was also my father. That queen decided to ignore that her own dad was the one who started the car and gave the orders and blamed my husband for it, executing him shamefully in front of public."

Alex soon finished washing the dishes and after he was done, he approached Lycoris and said,

"Ok, let's go rest.  Do you want to rest in the living room or in the bedroom?"

Matthew replied, "So, wait.  Sia knew that her dad was the one who gave the order.  Are you sure?  I mean, isn't it possible that she thought that your husband and the other soldiers acted on their own?"

He was thinking of the situation from different angles.

Lycoris replied, "I am fine either way so I will let you decide. The most important thing to me is that you are by my side."

She reached out to hold Alex's hand and squeezed it gently

The shapeshifter turned to Matthew and sharply replied, "She knew. She even justified her actions by saying they should have gone against him. But that's just nonsense. My husband killed my dad yet I forgave him because I knew he didn't want to do it."

Alex smiled softly and replied, "In that case, let's go to the living room.  The first aid kit is there and in case I need to tend to your wounds more, it'll be better.  Also, there's more than enough room for both of us on the couch."

He approached Lycoris and carried her in his arms.  As he took her to the living room, he said,

"I'm going to keep carrying you like this, so you'd better get used to it."

Matthew raised an eyebrow and replied, "I see.  It sounds like Sia didn't really understand what soldiers are supposed to do.  They don't go against orders.  Well, very rarely, do they."

Lycoris blushed deeply and wrapping her arms around Alex's neck as he carried her, she softly said,

"I am the luckiest girl in the world right now but I-I am not burdening you, am I? I know you'll say no but you are really being honest with me, right?"

The shapeshifter frowned and said, "That isn't my problem, is it? My husband was killed unfairly. And she didn't stop at that and decided to kill me along. I survived but my baby didn't."

Alex happily replied, "Of course I am.  You're never a burden to me, Lycoris, and I'm more than happy to carry you around like this."

He made his way back to the living room and gently placed Lycoris on the couch.  He then took a seat beside her and said,

"There.  Now you can rest well."

Matthew replied, "Ok, why did Sia decide to kill your baby?  Now that doesn't make any sense."

Lycoris relaxed and smiled softly as she let her tiredness take over without having to worry about anything as long as she had Alex by her side. She reached out to hold his hand and then softly said,

"I am sorry I left like that. I am so sorry. I was just scared I could hurt you and-and I still am. I am quite selfish for returning and wanting to be with you..."

The shapeshifter sighed and after a moment of silence, she sadly replied, "She burned down my house, as well as the houses of the other soldiers. Other families were killed and I could have been killed too. I almost did. I was pregnant but although I barely survived, my baby didn't."

Alex shook his head and replied, "No, of course not.  You're not selfish at all.  I'm happy you came back to me.  I was so worried, so worried.  I don't know what I would have done if I had lost you."

He hugged Lycoris close to his chest.

Matthew widened his eyes in shock and replied, "Isn't that overdoing things?  I mean, executing sounds bad enough but burning down homes, too?  That totally wasn't necessary."

Lycoris wrapped her arms around Alex tightly and hugging him, she tearfully said,

"I couldn't stay away. I couldn't go on without having you by my side. It-it was like I couldn't breathe if you weren't by my side. I am sorry. I don't want to put you in danger but I love you too much to go away."

She broke down in tears as she hugged him tightly.

The shapeshifter clenched her hands in fists and said, "That's what she did and that's what I lost."

Alex hugged Lycoris tighter and replied, "And I love you too much to have you push me away.  Whatever danger we're in, we'll face it together.  We love each other and I know we can get through anything."

*************

Matthew looked sad and replied, "I understand.  I'm so sorry.  I've witnessed women who've lost their babies although it's usually because of miscarriage.  I can only imagine you pain.  I-I understand your anger."

(Getting sleepy so I'll go to bed now but I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Love, and I'll post again tomorrow before I go to work and all.  I have another new class starting up so yeah.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris continued hugging Alex tightly and between her sniffs, she tearfully said, 

"I-I will do my best to control my powers. I promise I won't hold back any efforts. I'll kill myself if I even dare to try to hurt you again. And-and I'll protect us from anyone else. I'll make that captain pay for even thinking of crossing our way again..."

Although her eyes had been already still glowing, they glowed a little more as she spoke with such emotion.

The shapeshifter was sadly silent for a moment, before she quietly said, 

"No need to be sorry. At least you aren't giving me that lecture of how I should let go and forgive. You know, everyone says just that and imagines it would be that simple to move on. Maybe it really is possible but it requires a certain amount of strength and I don't have it. I envy Alex and Lycoris in a way. They rely on each other to move on, at least. They give each other strength."

Alex hugged Lycoris in comfort and replied, "Hey, calm down.  It's going to be ok.  I'll protect you always and I don't worry about you hurting me.  I love you, Lycoris, and you love me, and our love can get us through anything, right?"

Matthew smiled sadly and replied, "Yes, that's true.  I can't help but envy them, too.  I guess, especially when it comes to hard times, it helps to have someone be there for us, to support us."
