Romance RP

(Ok.  XD)

Alex hesitatingly replied, "Ok.  Well, I was just thinking that if my darling were convinced that you were in love with someone else, she would no longer see you as a threat.  Then you can be with us again."

Lycoris was a bit surprised with Alex's suggestion and it took her a few moments to take it in. After thinking of it thoroughly, she replied quietly,

"Umm I doubt that would totally work? I mean, Nerine does see me as a threat because of my feelings for you, sure, but that's only a part of it. She never liked me in the first place. And umm, if I pretend to be in love with someone else, wouldn't I have to be with him, not you and Nerine? And who would it be?"

(I'm here but my posts might be extremely slow since I'll be gaming.  XD)

Alex replied, "Well, I'd think the answer might be obvious?"

He was hinting that Matthew would be the guy that Lycoris would pretend to be in love with.

(No problem. XD)

Lycoris was silent for a moment until it came to her. Her eyes widened in surprise and she replied, 

"You-you mean Matthew? But...but no, I can't do that. That would be cruel and unfair. You-you know that he has real feelings for me, right?"

She hated the idea of pretending to be in love with Matthew just to be close to Alex and Nerine, as that would be only using the poor guy.

Alex sighed and replied, "Yeah, I know.  I had the feeling you might not like the idea.  Even if you told Matt outright, well, I guess it's still wrong."

Lycoris shook her head slowly and replied, "I can't do that to him. He-He doesn't deserve it. Matthew has been nothing but good and kind to me and he went through a lot of trouble for my sake."

She paused then quietly said, "It doesn't matter, ok? Let's enjoy the moment while we can. I already know what the future holds for me."

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok, let's enjoy the time we have."

He reached out to gently touch Lycoris' hand and gaze softly, lovingly at her.

Lycoris smiled softly and took a deep breath, deciding to enjoy the few moments she had with Alex as well. Even if they were the last moments she'd ever have so close to him, she wanted to enjoy every single one of them.

She curiously asked, "So Alex, have you thought about your next child, whether you want it a boy or a girl?"

(Ahh I am going to log off a bit early to start getting ready for work and all and feed the cat, too. XD I'll see you tomorrow, phoenix. ^^)

(Ahh ok.  See you tomorrow, Love.  ^^)

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "Well, it really doesn't matter but I suppose I'd like to have a girl because looking at her would remind me of both you and my darling always."

He smiled softly at Lycoris, thinking of his possible baby looking like Nerine and Lycoris.

Lycoris blushed softly but smiling, she said, 

"Hey, that's a beautiful thought but I am sure Nerine would like to have a boy, too, to remind her of you. Well, whether it's a boy or a girl, I am sure he or she will be as beautiful and handsome as you and Nerine are."

Alex smiled and replied, "That's very sweet of you to say.  Well, no matter what our baby's gender or looks, he or she will be incredibly loved."

(I'll be gaming but I'm here.  XD)

(Ok. XD)

Lycoris smiled and nodding, she said,

"He or she will be the luckiest baby ever, you know. You and Nerine will be its parents so of course, it will get the greatest care and love ever."

Alex blushed and replied, "Thank you, Lycoris.  I feel very blessed that we're going to have a baby and, of course, we want him or her to grow up happy and healthy."

(Sorry if I'm being quite slow.  Stardew Valley is quite addicting.  lol)

(No problem, I totally understand. XD)

Lycoris nodded and smiling, she replied, "Of course, that's only natural."

She paused then said, "I wish I could be around when Nerine delivers. I know that won't happen but it would have been nice to see your baby."

Alex looked sad as he heard Lycoris' words and although he tried to contain his emotions, he quietly said,

"Lycoris, I know it's going to happen but I want you here.  Even if everyone else were to reject you, I'll always want you."

Lycoris was quite touched by Alex's words that it brought tears to her eyes. She smiled softly and quietly, she said,

"That's enough for me to know. I-I have no choice but to do what I have to do, but knowing how much I mean to you is more than enough for me."

(Ok, I have to go now to catch work and all. See you tomorrow, phoenix. ^^)

Alex smiled and as he cried, too, he replied, "I'll always love and care for you, Lycoris.  Please never forget that."

(Ok, see you tomorrow, Love.  I have holidays until Friday so I'll be here more, well, if I'm not gaming that is.  lol  XD)

(Ahh I am sneaking a post from work now because I didn't have the chance to post earlier. I had a lot of unfinished mapping work and the due deadline is tomorrow so yeah. XD I still have things unfinished although I should be done tomorrow before the deadline hopefully. lol)

Lycoris smiled softly and although her eyes were full of tears, she reached out to hug Alex gratefully, touched by his words and just wanting to be this close to him even if just for a second.

(Ahh ok, no problem.  XD)

Alex returned Lycoris' hug, and the two of them cried softly in each other's arms.  Just then, the front door quietly opened and Matthew peeked his head out the door.  Seeing the couple, he couldn't help but know that he could never break that.  He wished for the best for both of them and then quietly closed the door again.

(Sorry I didn't post yesterday. As you may have guessed, I had the work to finish and all. XD But it's all done now so I am more free. )

Lycoris continued holding on to Alex and crying softly in his arms for a few more moments, before the hug eventually came to an end. She reached out to wipe away her tears and smiling a little, she said,

"I-I am sorry. I am making our time quite dramatic, aren't I? But although I am crying, I am really feeling happier than how I felt in a very long time. No more of that. We'll enjoy what's left happy and carefree."

(And aww Matthew shouldn't give up yet. He should really try harder if he truly loves Lycoris. XD)

(Aww no problem.  I'm here as well although gaming at the same time, so I might be slow.  XD  And I agree-Matthew shouldn't give up.  XD)

Alex nodded and wiping away his tears as well, he replied, "I agree.  Let's just be happy and enjoy the rest of this day together."

(Coolies. XD)

Lycoris nodded happily and took a deep breath, deciding to erase all worries and thoughts temporarily and just enjoy Alex's presence. She reached out to touch his hand gently and smiled softly.

Alex returned Lycoris' touch and gently held her hand.  Thinking of a way to lighten things, he asked,

"Is there anything you'd like to do, to spend the rest of the afternoon?"

Lycoris looked thoughtful and replied,

"I wouldn't mind if we just sit here and enjoy each other's company, but maybe you have something else in mind that we can do together?"

Alex looked thoughtful as well and replied, "No, I don't have anything special in mind.  I'd love to just sit here and enjoy the afternoon with you.  Your company is the best, Lycoris."
