Alex replied,

You mean threatening her?  Listen, I don't like that Sia hasn't been willing to tell us where Lycoris is but we should be patient with her.  Ryan and Lycoris are the best chance of getting through to her and you need your rest, too, after what happened the other night, don't you?

The shapeshifter was even more angered as Alex mentioned her getting some rest, and although it was nothing be angry about, she took it sensitively. She replied,

I didn't ask for your opinion about my health. And how long are we going to be patient with her? That queen knows very well what we want with Lycoris so don't expect her to reveal her location anytime soon. It's about time we used force to get things done with.

Alex replied,

Please calm down.  Just, just be patient, ok?  I didn't mean any offense.  I just worry about you.  I wish I could be with you to look after you although I'm sure your mother is doing well to look after you as it is.

Alex's words only made things worse, as he made it sound that the shapeshifter needed to be looked after and she hated to be viewed that way, no matter what. Angrily, she replied,

I don't need your worry and I don't allow you to speak this way about me. Whoever said I needed you to look after me, or that I needed to be looked after at all? You-


She couldn't continue her sentence however, as a sudden pain attacked her chest, affected by her anger. What she hadn't revealed was that she had collapsed earlier during the day, and for that reason she sounded weaker than usual.

Alex worried when he could no longer hear the shapeshifter communicate and deciding quickly, he reached out to Lady Penelope and said,

My lady, it's Alex.  Can you hear me?

Lady Penelope heard Alex's message and getting a little worried, as she wasn't used to having Alex contact her, but she replied,

I am here, darling. Is everything ok?

Alex replied,

I-I'm not sure.  I was talking to your daughter just now and then she suddenly stopped.  I-I think something happened.  Can you please check on her now?

Lady Penelope became even more worried as Alex mentioned it was about her daughter and replied immediately,

Oh no. Not again. I-I am going to her right away. I'll talk to you in a bit, darling.


She then shut off the telepathy and headed to the shapeshifter's room immediately.

Alex waited anxiously as he wondered if the shapeshifter was all right.  All he wanted to do was report the latest news to her but it seemed that he only made things worse in regards to her condition.

About quarter an hour had passed, before Lady Penelope reached out to Alex again, her voice a little calmer than before. She said,

Alex, darling, are you there?

Alex replied immediately,

Yes, yes, I'm here, my lady.  How is your daughter?  Is she all right?

Lady Penelope smiled a bit to herself and replied,

Yes, she's alright, darling, thank goodness. She blacked out for a few minutes when she was talking to you earlier so that's why she suddenly stopped talking. She's ok now although I advised her not to try to contact you again and to save her energy.


She paused then sadly, she continued,

She's been getting weaker recently. This morning, she collapsed a little after breakfast. Her pulse was pretty weak. I-I am really worried about her, Alex.


She was on the verge of tears although she did her best to contain herself.

Alex replied sadly,

Oh I-I see.  Do you want me to return home and see if I can help?  Or maybe I can contact my parents and have a doctor come check on her?  My parents can tell the doctor to be discreet.

Lady Penelope replied sadly,

I have already suggested that to her but she refuses any attempts from any of us to help her. She-she doesn't even like for anyone to mention her condition or anything about her health. I don't know what to do any longer. It-it's like I am slowly losing her and there's nothing I can do.

Alex replied,

Have you talked to the chancellor?  Perhaps he might have an idea?


(I'm quite sleepy tonight because of work and all so I'll get off now and go to bed.  But I'll be back tomorrow and post again and hopefully be more rested.  Nite, nite, Love, and see you tomorrow.  ^^)

Lady Penelope replied,

I have but as I said, my dear, my daughter doesn't accept just hearing a word about the matter.


She paused and after sighing sadly, she continued,

I'm sorry I'm bothering you with this, darling. I know you already have quite enough to worry about and you don't need to think about this too. Thank you very much for warning me, darling. I appreciate it.

Alex replied,

It's no trouble, my lady.  I would have preferred not to have disturbed your daughter about this matter but she insisted on continually being updated about Lycoris although the situation hasn't changed.  Should I contact you from now on?

Lady Penelope replied,

I would prefer that but knowing my daughter, she wouldn't agree to it. You can continue contacting her but please, if she does get angry or loses her temper at anytime, don't get offended or angered by it please, darling. My daughter can be difficult at times but it's really because she's frustrated by all the recent events.

Alex replied,

Yes, I understand.  This has been difficult on all of us, too.  It doesn't help that Sia hasn't been willing to tell us where Lycoris is but I don't think it's a good idea to force her.  Obviously, your daughter and I had a major disagreement about that.

(Back now. XD)

Lady Penelope sighed sadly and replied,

I can imagine. I am sorry about that, darling. I will try to talk to her sometime tomorrow, try to get her to be a little more patient. I-I can't promise anything as you can imagine but I will try. I am worried about her condition and it will only worsen if she doesn't stop getting frustrated over every little thing.

(Sorry I didn't post last night.  My boyfriend was really tired and he didn't want to go to sleep without me so we ended up getting offline at the same time so that's why.  But I'm here now and will make a post.  ^^)

Alex replied,

I agree, my lady.  I wish I could be there to help you but please, if there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to contact me or my parents.  They'll help out.

(Ahh no problem. ^^ I had extra classes in the course today and all so I came back pretty late. XD)

Lady Penelope replied,

Of course, darling, I have no doubt about it. I am sorry for troubling you with this and thanks again for warning me about my daughter. I should go now but do you want anything else? Anything I should tell her, perhaps?

(Ahh I see.  XD)

Alex thought about it and replied,

No, I think that's it.  Is there any news back home that either my darling or I should know about?

Lady Penelope replied,

Thanks, darling. Just take care of yourself and please let us know in case anything else comes up, ok?


(Ahh I am heading to the course in a bit and I might not be able to post again today either, so I am letting you know just in case. XD)

(Ahh ok, no worries.  XD)

Alex replied,

I will, my lady.  Please take care of yourselves and I'll talk to you soon.  Good night.


He then shut off the telepathy and despite feeling a little tired, he did his best to pay attention to the evening entertainment.
