Romance RP

Irene furrowed her eyebrows and looking to Ryan, she confidently said,

"Ryan, don't forget that Lisianthus is the one who told Duke Collins to take Lycoris away and I am sure she knows where Lycoris is. Be sure that the duke won't dare to hurt Lycoris then. If he did, Lisianthus would be the one to stand against him."

Lady Penelope replied, "So what do we do now? Go back and leave my daughter and Lycoris behind? Or go to the queen and force her to speak?"

Alex replied, "I'm not sure force would be the best idea but perhaps..."

He had a couple of ideas but decided to state the one more likely to succeed.  So he continued,

"Ryan, I know that you and Sia are having problems but perhaps if you appeal to her, beg for her forgiveness, she might relent and tell you?  Meanwhile, the rest of us can come up with a plan to rescue Lady Penelope's daughter."

Irene thought this idea might be somewhat fruitful indeed, and nodding in agreement, she said,

"I agree with Alex. This might work or at least get Lisianthus to soften a little. She still loves you, Ryan; that I am quite sure of. If you try to reach out to her, that might change things."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I-I'll give it a try.  I know I'm the cause of Sia's anger so if I can beg for her forgiveness..."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah, it could work.  You never know unless you try."

Ryan replied, "Ok.  Should I use any specific tactic or just speak from my heart?"

Irene replied,

"Just speak from your heart. That's what Lisianthus needs to heat at the moment: your honest words. We've already tried tactics and plans and they haven't worked so this is our best shot."

Ryan replied, "Then I'll go to her right now.  I can teleport from here to the castle grounds."

Alex nodded and replied, "Do that.  Contact us after you finish talking to Sia."

Ryan nodded and closing his eyes, he teleported himself to the castle grounds.

In the castle, there was movement near the stables as a carriage was being prepared for Lisianthus. She was standing calmly outside the stables, waiting for the workers and stable men to finish preparing it, unaware that Ryan returned.

Ryan was preparing to go inside the castle when he noticed Lisianthus right outside the stables.  Hurrying to her, he called out,

"Sia, p-please...I want to talk to you.  It's important."

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll post again tomorrow after I get back from work and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lisianthus was surprised as she heard Ryan's voice and turning to him, she found him standing there indeed. Although she was momentarily shaken, she quickly regained her composure and coldly, she replied to him,

"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be with the others?"

She wasn't sure whether they found out about what she did but she wouldn't speak a word about it before Ryan showed whether he knew or not.

Ryan ignored Lisianthus' question and doing what his heart told him, he went down on one knee and with pleading eyes, he quietly said,

"Sia, can you ever forgive me?  I'm such an idiot not to have put my trust in you from the beginning.  I know better now."

Lisianthus was a bit surprised with Ryan's gesture but she was also suspicious, given its timing. Had he come a little earlier, her response might have been a lot softer, but he was a bit too late.

Raising an eyebrow, she replied,

"Really? And what made you realize that just now?"

(Thanks.  Also, I'm gaming so my responses might be slow.  XD)

Ryan replied, "I had time to think about everything that's happened and I should have seen things from your point of view.  It isn't like I ever meant to hurt you but I can see that I did and I'll never forgive myself for inflicting such pain upon you.  I should have come to you sooner but I was afraid.  But I'm here, facing my fear and begging for your forgiveness."

He looked up into Lisianthus' eyes, his eyes full of sadness and sorrow.

Lisianthus didn't look much shaken, and although inside, she was praying that Ryan meant every word he said, she had a lot of doubt within her and didn't want to bring herself to believe him, as she did before and the result was very painful, to say the least.

She replied coldly, "I can't help but wonder when you had time to think about all that. Shouldn't you be with the others at the moment to help them rescue Lycoris from the duke? Or did you leave them just to tell me this?"

Ryan replied, "I should be with them but you are more important to me.  No, you are the most important person to me.  You must come first before anyone else.  I see that."

He looked up pleadingly at Lisianthus with the traces of tears threatening to spill from his eyes.

Lisianthus finally let down her cold attitude but she didn't become any softer. Instead, an angry expression came over her face as she replied,

"No, Ryan. I don't come before anyone else. I-I never came before anyone else for you. I don't know what I am for you but I know this. I know that you betrayed me, that you lied to me and who knows if this is what you're trying to do yet again now? How do you expect me to believe you anymore?"

Ryan sighed sadly and replied, "I know and I understand your anger.  Tell me then-what can I do to make things up?  If I am to earn your trust again, what can I do?"

He looked up sadly at Lisianthus, genuinely wanting to make things up with her.

Lisianthus took a breath and calming down a little, she replied, 

"I don't know. I can't even tell if such a thing exists that can make things ok between us again. Could you please go away? I don't want to talk at the moment."

Ryan could see that Lisianthus was calming down and nodding, he replied, "I'll leave you be but are you going to take a walk in the gardens?"

Even though Lisianthus was just outside the stables and Ryan suspected that she was going to leave the grounds, he didn't want to tip off his suspicions to her just yet.

Lisianthus was silent for a moment then frowning, she said, 

"No, I have somewhere that I need to head to. Nothing of your concern."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I-I see.  In that case, I wish you the best of luck with whatever you're going to do and I hope we'll have a chance to talk again later."

He got up and gave Lisianthus a small, hopeful smile.

Lisianthus didn't even return Ryan's smile and without saying a word more, she got in the carriage and closed the door after her although the carriage wasn't completely ready yet. Inside the carriage, she couldn't help but break in tears, as though all the strength she showed in front of Ryan suddenly went away.

Ryan sighed to himself after Lisianthus entered the carriage and entering the castle, he used his telepathy to reach out to Irene and said,

Duchess Irene, are you there?  I just finished talking to Sia.

Irene received Ryan's message and taking a breath, she tentatively asked,

How did it go, Ryan?

Ryan took a breath and then told him of his conversation with Lisianthus, how it hadn't gone well despite his best efforts and all.  He then added,

I'm sorry I couldn't find out any information.  I had the feeling that Sia was suspicious and I didn't want to push her.

Irene sighed sadly and as this wasn't too unexpected, she replied,

I am sure you tried your best. But what do we do now? I don't think it will be too easy to find Lycoris at the moment but we need to take action regarding the shapeshifter.


Meanwhile, the head healer had gone out of the castle and joined Lisianthus in the carriage, which had been readied by then, and starting moving out of the castle.
