Alex shook his head and replied, "I don't think my telepathy will work, not while we're in this barrier."

Matthew added, "That's right.  It blocks magic so I believe it goes both ways."

Helena's eyes looked surprised and I replied,

"I see.  That is very unfortunate about the war.  We don't really know much about it, but I suppose it's because it's a matter between gods and devils, and humans weren't involved in it."

Lycoris looked disappointed and replied, "Yes, I remembered. That's awful. I-I wish we could just talk to her, make sure she's ok. I really pray that captain didn't hurt her."

Nathan replied, "Fortunately for you. It's stupid to get involved in a war needlessly, let alone start it."

He paused then looking around the place, he said, "What I like the most about this place is that it's seculded and safe. Even in the darkest hours of the war, this place was always quite safe."

Alex reached out to gently squeeze Lycoris' hand and replied, "Me, too, Lycoris, me, too."

Matthew added, "Nerine must be all right.  That captain certainly wouldn't so stupid as to attack her.  He needs her unharmed."

Helena smiled and replied, "Yes, I can imagine.  This place really is like a place, up above on the clouds.  It's just amazing.  I'd never want to be on the ground again, if I could help it."

Lycoris sighed and replied, "I hope so, Matthew. It's enough she must be terrified and scared. And Helena, too. The poor girl got dragged into a problem that was never her own."

Nathan smiled slyly at Helena and said, "Heh, I could make you need not be on the ground ever again. After all, you have me here and whatever you need can be brought right in front of you."

Matthew furrowed his eyebrows and replied,

"Yes, that's true.  Olivia must be worried.  I hope we can get everyone back safe and sound soon."

Helena giggled and replied, "Aww you really do treat me like a princess.  I could totally get used to being spoiled by my eternal love."

She gazed lovingly into Nathan's eyes.

Lycoris nodded and didn't say anything more. The shapeshifter was silent although she wanted to say that things were going to be harder than they thought, as the captain wouldn't be easily found.

Nathan gazed seductively at Helena and said, "You can get used to it alright, love. You are my princess after all."

He wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her close to him.

Matthew then said,

"Hey, now, we have this beautiful morning to enjoy.  Let's not waste it.  How about we take a look at the flowers here?"

Alex smiled a bit and replied, "That's a good idea."

Helena lovingly wrapped her arms around Nathan's neck and without saying anything, she leaned in to give him a sweet, loving kiss on the lips, her heart completely taken by him and feeling nothing but love and happiness.

(I'm getting sleepy so I should go to bed now but I'll post again tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris smiled a little as well and nodding, she said, "You're right. I remember there were a lot of beautiful flowers around here. Ryan would describe them to me when we were here and they had wonderful smells too."

Nathan returned the kiss ardently, drawing Helena even closer to him and pouring all his love and passion into the kiss. He had fallen deeply in love with her, for she was the very first to touch his heart so and make him know what love was.

The kiss was eventually broken and gazing deeply into her eyes, he softly said, "I love you, Helena."

Alex replied, "Ok, let's go to the flowers and you can smell them while we describe them to you."

He gestured for Matthew to join them, and Matthew happily approached them.

Helena's heart swelled upon hearing those words from Nathan and she lovingly replied,

"And I love you, Nathan."

Her left hand reached up to gently cup Nathan's right cheek and her eyes sparkled with love.

Lycoris happily followed Alx and Matthew to the flowers so they could enjoy their beauty and smell. The shapeshifter stayed behind, just observing the party from where she was.

Lycoris commented, "I can smell the flowers vividly and they are still as great as they were. There must be some sort of magic or something to keep them alive and well like so without anyone tending to them."

Nathan gazed at Helena fondly for a few more minutes then slyly smiling, he teasingly said,

"Heh, I told you before you'll become a distraction. It's becoming hard to just take my eyes off you. What have you done to make me love you so much?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, that must be the case.  It doesn't naturally rain very often."

Alex added, "I'm sure we can ask Ryan.  He can probably tell us."

Helena giggled and giving Nathan a sly look, she replied, "I could ask you the same question.  What did you do to make me fall in love with you?"

Lycoris nodded and replied, "I am sure he can. It's just a guess but I think that's the case. Anyways, the flowers are all ours to enjoy."

She went down on her knees and reached out to touch the flowers gently.

Nathan chuckled happily then returning the sly look, he replied jokingly,

"Oh I must have a cast a spell on you to make you fall in love with me so, but then I must have cast it both ways, for I fell in love with you so as well."

Alex and Matthew took their time to enjoy the flowers, too, and Alex looked to the shapeshifter and asked,

"Do you like flowers, too?"

Helena giggled happily and nodding, she replied, "Yup, that must be it.  You are so very powerful, after all."

She leaned in to give Nathan a sweet, loving kiss on the lips.

The shapeshifter was surprised as Alex talked to her but after a moment of silence, she said,

"I don't really find joy in observing them as you do, but I like orchids. These are my favorite."

Nathan returned the kiss passionately, pouring all his feelings into it and savoring every moment. Having Helena close to him made him feel stronger-he only needed to fulfill his mission, restore his daughter and they could all stay together forever, it would be everything he wanted and more.

Alex smiled and looking over at another area, he pointed to it and said,

"There are a few orchids here.  They look very pretty."

Helena and Nathan continued to kiss for a few more sweet, happy moments and once the kiss was over, she gazed happily into his eyes, savoring the love, happiness, and peace of the moment.

(Awww I wish that Nathan could have his happily ever after but it's all so complicated.  O.O)

The shapeshifter nodded slowly and her eyes looked at the orchids from far but she didn't get up to observe them closely. She quietly said,

"Yeah, they are pretty. They have a variety of everything here."

(Yup, it definitely is. :/ Maybe if Helena can convince Nathan to accept his daughter's death and that this was her unfortunate fate, things could get better although I have to warn her it would be extremely difficult to do so. XD)

Nathan gazed back happily at Helena, admiring everything about her. The two enjoyed a peaceful moment then gets an idea, he looked slyly at her and said,

"You know, you we're exceptionally good at your lesson today that I should reward you even more. How about to go out for lunch? I'll take you somewhere you'll love."

Matthew replied, "Yup, there sure is.  Quite a variety of beautiful flowers here."

Helena looked excited about the idea and nodding happily, she replied, "Sure, I love that and I have the feeling you know the exact place you wish to take me?"

She looked thoughtful and asked, "Will Night help us get there?"

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"There definitely is and I am glad for that. It looks like Ryan's guardian took care of making this place as beautiful as possible, not just efficient and safe."

Nathan chuckled happily and replied, "Definitely. In all honesty, we'll need Night's help to go anywhere from here but yes, even assuming we were on ground, we would need his help."

He winked happily at her and offering his hand, he bowed to Helena and smiling flirtatiously, he said, "Will my lady allow me to escort her?"

Alex nodded happily and replied, "Yup, that's true.  This place truly feels like a home."

He reached out to gently touch Lycoris' free hand.

Helena smiled lovingly and nodding happily, she replied, "Of course, my captain."

She gently held onto Nathan's arm and followed him as they headed to where Night would be.

Lycoris blushed and smiled softly as she felt Alex touching her hand. The shapeshifter quietly observed the couple and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, wondering if Alex's feelings for Lycoris were rekindling in spite of Nerine's absence.

Nathan led the way to the stables where Night was resting. He was being tended to by the stableman, while was making sure the strong pegasus also looked beautiful.

As it saw the couple approaching, it whinnied in greeting.

Meanwhile, Matthew noticed the interactions between Alex and Lycoris, too, and he couldn't help but sigh inwardly.  He loved Lycoris but he could see that he would never be able to compete against Alex.

Helena smiled at Night and as they approached the pegasus, she said,

"Hey, boy.  How are you?  You look well."

The shapeshifter could notice Matthew's face and although he did so well at hiding it, she could read him. Telepathically, she communicated to him,

You can't help but feel like she's out of your league now, huh?

Night whinnied happily in response to Helena, and smiling softly, Nathan commented,

"He likes you already and that's a wonder on its own. Night isn't exactly the social fella, kind of like his master."

He patted his head gently and then led him out of it's stall.

Matthew could only look sadly at the shapeshifter and slightly nodded his head towards her.

Helena giggled and gently rubbed Night's mane as they led him out of his stall and then outside.  Then, she waited for Nathan to get on Night and to help her get on behind him so that they could head to their destination.

The shapeshifter was silent for a moment then she said,

But you aren't even trying, you know. He's giving her all the attention and you're just standing by, doing nothing. If you really love her, you really have to try harder. No matter how strong their bond may be, he's married to her sister. He's the one out of her league.

Nathan led Night out of its stall and then got on it. He extended his hand to Helena and helped her get on behind him. He then said,

"Hold on tight, love. We're about to take off."

He then steadily led Night to take to the air, flying away from the mansion.

Matthew gave the shapeshifter a look and replied,

Do you have any ideas to separate those two?  And besides, Lycoris seems happiest when she's with Alex and I don't want to stand in the way of that.

Helena held on tightly to Nathan's waist as the group took off into the air.  Helena's chin rested lightly on Nathan's right shoulder and she had a happy, loving smile on her face.
