Romance RP

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Thanks, Olivia."

She got up with her help and headed to the bathroom to wash up and get ready for the day.

As Lycoris took her bath, Olivia looked in the closet and picked out a beautiful pale yellow sundress for Lycoris to wear.  She set it aside and then looked for hair accessories to match the dress.

Once she was done, Olivia then waited for Lycoris to call for her so that she could help her finish getting ready.

Lycoris took a bath and then dried herself off, putting on her bathrobe. Once she was all finished, she opened the door slightly and called out to Olivia,

"I am all done, Olivia."

Olivia heard Lycoris call out for her so she approached her and guided her back to the bedroom.  Then she helped Lycoris to get dressed and then brushed and arranged her hair beautifully.

Once she was done, Olivia took a moment to look at Lycoris and said, 

"There, you look beautiful as always, miss."

Lycoris smiled softly and replied, 

"Really, Olivia? Thank you. It's all thanks to your help, of course. You make me look my best always."

Olivia smiled kindly at Lycoris and replied, "Aww thank you, miss.  It's always a pleasure to help you get ready."

There was a knock at the door and outside, Matthew asked,

"Lycoris, are you awake?  Has Olivia helped you get ready?"

As Lycoris heard Matthew's voice on the other side, she replied,

"Yes, I am awake, Matthew and Olivia is here with me. Please come in."

Matthew entered the room and upon seeing Lycoris, he smiled and said, "Good morning.  You look wonderful, Lycoris.  Thank you for your help, Olivia."

Olivia replied, "It's my pleasure."  She turned to Lycoris and said, "If there isn't anything else, I will see to the rest of the morning preparations, miss."

Lycoris smiled to Olivia and nodding to her, she said, "You can go now, Olivia. Thank you very much for your help."

After Olivia had left, she smiled to Matthew and said,

"Good morning, Matthew. I hope you had a peaceful night."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, I slept all right.  Did you sleep ok last night?"

He was concerned about Lycoris, considering what happened yesterday.

Lycoris smiled sadly and replied, 

"Not as well as I hoped, but I am fine. At least I am still in control. I was worried that my other self would take over in my sleep but maybe the restless sleep had its advantages after all."

Matthew nodded sadly and replied, "Yes, I understand.  Well, how about we go downstairs and have breakfast?  If you'd like some coffee to keep you awake, I'm sure there will be plenty brewed."

(I'm about to go to bed so this will be my last post for tonight, but I'll post again tomorrow before I go out for work.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yes, I guess that could help. Please lead the way, Matthew."

She stood up and held on to Matthew's arm, waiting for him to lead the way downstairs.

Matthew gently held on to Lycoris' arm and led the way out of her room and then downstairs to the dining room.  Once they arrived, he helped Lycoris into her seat and then took a seat himself.  Looking around, he commented,

"It looks like we're the first ones here, but the others should be here soon."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Looks like we're up and about early today."

A little later, Lady Penelope was the first one to show up in the dining room. She saw that only Matthew and Lycoris had arrived before and smiling happily at them as she took her seat, she said,

"Good morning, darlings. I hope you had a restful night."

(I had work today so I only got back just now.  ^^)

Matthew smiled at Lady Penelope and replied, "I did.  I hope that you slept well, too, my lady."

Alex and Nerine came to the dining room a little after, Alex carefully attending to Nerine all the while.

(Ahh sorry I didn't post anymore. Although today should have been my day off, I went to work as usual because I've already taken two days off for the feast and all. XD Anyhow, I'll post now and tomorrow as usual. ^^)

Lady Penelope observed Alex and Nerine as they came into the room and could clearly see the attention and care Alex was giving Nerine. She sighed inwardly, as it seemed like things wouldn't go as they planned.

Still, she smiled at the couple and said, "Good morning, dears. Had a peaceful night?"

Nerine smiled to her and nodding, she said, "Good morning, my lady. Yes, it was a quiet, peaceful one."

(Ahh no problem.  I have work today so I might be back in posting late and all.  ^^)

Alex smiled to Lady Penelope as well and added, "Yes, we slept well.  I hope that everyone else did, too?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, I got enough sleep."

(I understand. ^^)

Lycoris heard Alex's and Nerine's voice and although usually, that would be enough to make her smile, on that morning, it was like it brought her a certain kind of sadness that she tried to hide.

Soon, the chancellor showed up as well and bid everyone good morning.

Seeing that everyone had arrived, Matthew asked for the maids to bring breakfast to the table.  As they did so, he asked,

"So what are everyone's plans for today?"

(Welcome back. ^^ I should be getting ready to head for work soon but I'll make this post before I go. XD)

The chancellor spoke up, "Ahh I'll spend the morning in the library. There is an important matter I'm reading into and I need to continue working on it."

Of course, he was looking into the matter of Lycoris' personalities and the sacrifice. On the other hand, Lady Penelope said,

"I think I'll be in the garden as usual. The fresh air is wonderful to take in on such a sunny day."

Nerine looked at Alex fondly and replied, "I'll do whatever my Alex wants us to do."

(Ok.  ^^)

Matthew nodded in understanding to the chancellor, as he knew that he was looking into Lycoris' situation.

Alex smiled softly and replied, "I guess we'll figure it out.  We haven't made any specific plans yet."

The maids came in, placing delicious hot plates of breakfast in front of everyone.  Matthew said,

"We should eat.  Breakfast looks and smells especially wonderful today."

Lady Penelope nodded happily and replied, "Indeed. Looks like the chefs made an extra great job today making this morning's breakfast."

The party started eating and Nerine made sure to eat well, as she ate for herself and her baby now. Lycoris did her best to eat as well although she didn't have the best appetite.

As everyone ate their breakfast, Alex realized something and looking curiously at Nerine, he asked,

"Darling, are there any specific foods or drinks you're not allowed to have?  Like coffee or wine, for example?"

Nerine looked curiously back at Alex and replied,

"Umm I am not really sure. I mean, I don't know that lot about being pregnant although I read somewhere once that yes, coffee and wine are forbidden in pregnancy. But maybe we can ask Matthew later for more details?"
