Romance RP

(Ok, wait.  I'll make the fix in my previous post.  I'm honestly just way too tired today to pay attention well.  I didn't sleep well last night due to our neighbors unable to control their barking dog and then I had to deal with stupid construction noise earlier so yeah, not in the bestest of moods.  -.-)

(Ahh it's ok, I understand. ^^ If you don't want to RP today and rest or do something more relaxing, I'll understand. ^^)

The chancellor furrowed his eyebrows and wasn't too pleased with the decision that Lycoris and Matthew came to. He replied,

"So if I understood correctly, you wish to find a way so only the true Lady Lycoris would be sacrificed?"

(Well, I may want to stop a little early today.  We'll see.  I just hope that I can sleep well tonight because I swear, if that dog starts barking again and I can't sleep before 2 a.m., I'm going to yell at our neighbors and I'm not going to care because they really should be considerate of others.  It's not like I'm asking for a whole lot. -.-)

Matthew replied, "It's what Lycoris wants but I don't really want that.  I don't know.  What I really want is that Lycoris not have to sacrifice herself at all.  Is there not another way to save the devils' world?"

(Ahh ok, I understand. ^^)

The chancellor found it strange that Lycoris make this request, as she didn't like her other self in the first place. He was silent for a moment then replied,

"There is. A miracle of a true love. Umm you haven't been able to get close to her in any way, sir?"

Matthew sighed and shaking his head, he replied,

"I'm afraid not, sir.  The only one she loves is Alex.  At least, that's what she told me.  I guess I can understand.  Alex has always had a certain charm about him."

He looked saddened, as he couldn't capture Lycoris' heart although he won over the heart of the other Lycoris.

The chancellor sighed sadly and was disappointed to hear that Lycoris was still attached to Alex, as he knew the circumstances of that relationship. He replied,

"I see. If I may ask, sir, why does Lady Lycoris want to let her other self live? As far as I've observed before, she doesn't appreciate her existence in the first place."

Matthew replied, "Well, I've become close to Lycoris' other self and the two of us have developed feelings for each other.  I don't think she's bad but there are times I've seen she doesn't completely think about others."

(Yeah, I think I'm going to stop posting for tonight.  I am just way too tired and I may very well go to bed early.  I would have napped earlier but I didn't want my sleep schedule to be off so I endured it.  Anyway, I'll post again tomorrow and hopefully, I'll be better rested.  Have a good day at work, Love.  ^^)

The chancellor was surprised to hear these news, and was thoughtfully silent for a few moments. He then replied,

"I see. So Lady Lycoris wishes to have her other self survive for this reason. It's a selfless way of thinking."

He sighed, but although he didn't agree, it wasn't like he had anything to do with such a decision. He said, 

"I think I may help. But first, we need to understand how the duplicate spell that created her in the first place worked. Do you have this information, sir?"

(Thanks.  Just woke up and I feel much better today.  Had to close my windows last night to block out any noise and fortunately, it wasn't hot last night so I slept well.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "I do.  Lycoris made contact earlier with Ryan and he and I communicated with one another."

He then told the chancellor the details of the duplicate spell Ryan told him.

(Ahh yeah, almost forgot but I have work when you'll get on and I won't be back probably until you have to leave for work so we probably have a chance to RP today.  Just wanted to let you know.  XD)

(I am happy to hear that. XD And no problem. I'll post now and stay online until I have to go just in case. XD)

The chancellor listened carefully to the details Matthew told him and after he was done, he nodded slowly and said,

"I see. That sounds like everything we need indeed. Well, in the case that indeed this duplicate spell created another soul of Lady Lycoris in a way, we might need to create a spell that gives this soul complete separation. So it's no longer just another side of Lady Lycoris, but a complete separate person living inside of her. Similar to how Lady Lycoris and Lady Nerine were before."

He was deep in thought, wondering how to create such a spell.

(Back now and I'll be on more tomorrow so we can probably RP more then.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "I see.  How can I help?  If there's anything you need, I can get it.  This is a bit out of my field but I think, with your help, we can form such a spell."

He sighed and added, "I just wish the Lycoris we knew wouldn't just be like this."

(Ahh coolies. ^^ Ahh I forgot to tell you about this yesterday but from now, Thursday will be my off day so I'll be able to RP as usual then and all. xD)

The chancellor was a little confused and wondering what Matthew meant by his latter comment, he asked, 

"What do you mean, sir? Do you mean that you wish the Lady Lycoris we knew wouldn't agree to this option?"

(Ahh nice.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yeah.  I know it sounds stupid and this would be a good solution to solving mostly everyone's problems, but I just hate thinking that Lycoris has pretty much given up."

The chancellor sighed and after a minute of silence, he replied,

"It isn't stupid, sir. I understand and I pretty much feel the same. I wish there was another way to save the devils' world, other than that true love miracle at least. You'd think it would be easy, seeing how many men were actually quite close to Lady Lycoris but it is actually a lot more complicated than that."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yeah, it is."

He sighed and added, "If her heart is only for Alex, I'd find a way for them to be together."

The chancellor was surprised to hear Matthew's comment and touched, he replied,

"So even if you have feelings for her yourself, sir, you would help her get with Alex to save her life?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "I would.  I care more about her than myself and I want to see to her happiness."

He blushed a bit and looked down at his feet.

The chancellor was touched to hear Matthew's answer and couldn't help but smile a little, although it was more of a sad smile. He replied sadly,

"I wish Lady Lycoris were here to hear that, sir. Sometimes we need to recognize those around us who care about us more than themselves. But what do I say? A lot of times, we may give too much of our attention to those who don't truly deserve it and ignore those who truly do."

Matthew thought about the chancellor's words and nodding, he replied, "Yes, you're right.  I wonder if there's a way to bring Alex and Lycoris together.  Nerine would never approve, though, even though this is a special situation."

The chancellor sighed sadly and nodding, he said,

"That's true. Even if we were to try to convince Lady Nerine that this is to save Lady Lycoris' life, she wouldn't care in the least. From what I've seen before, Lady Nerine doesn't like Lady Lycoris and would have no problem at all seeing her gone. The only solution would be to do things behind her back."

Matthew furrowed his eyebrows and replied, "Yeah, that's true."

He paused and then asked, "Umm is that an option?  I mean, getting Alex and Lycoris together but doing it behind Nerine's back?  I don't like using such a tactic but..."

The chancellor looked thoughtful and replied, 

"Well, I suppose? If Sir Alex's and Lady Lycoris' feelings for each other are still as strong, and both of them still love each other very much, that's all what we need. We don't need anyone's approval."

He paused then continued, "I don't really like using such a tactic either but right now, it might be the only way that doesn't require any sacrifices."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true.  We're going to need a bit of help, though, if we're to pull this off.  I believe Lady Penelope may be willing to help?  And, of course, my dad would help, too.

I think we should still come up with the spell but getting Alex and Lycoris together would be the better option."

The chancellor nodded in agreement and replied,

"Alright. Give me today, sir. I wish I had my magic books here with me but I am sure I can find something useful in the library. I'll look into this and study more of it and tomorrow, I will probably have come up with something."

Matthew smiled gratefully at the chancellor and replied, "Thank you, sir.  I appreciate your help.  If there's anything you need or wish to ask, please let me know.  I'll go find Lady Penelope and ask to speak with her privately over what we talked about."
