Romance RP

As though wanting to help take Lycoris' mind off of what happened earlier, Matthew said,

"We were just talking about Helena visiting this afternoon.  I can't wait to see what dresses she's come up with."

Lady Penelope smiled and nodding, she said, 

"Me too actually. That girl looks quite talented and she is very friendly. I am looking forward to seeing her works."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Same here.  Her shop is very popular in town so Helena gets the chance to make lots of clothes for everybody."

(Hopefully, this won't happen but if I'm slow in posting and it's not because I'm gaming, it's because my laptop has shut down.  It's been doing this a lot lately and I think it's because it's been overheating.  :/)

(Ahh I see. :/ No problem. ^^ Maybe you should take it to a nearby computer store? It probably just needs to be cleaned from inside, the hardware and all. I had the same issues with my laptop and it used to slow it down as well but it was solved when I had it cleaned and all.)

Lady Penelope nodded in understanding and replied, 

"I see. Well, they say practice makes perfect but she seems to have a natural talent as well."

(Yeah, that was what one of my friends suggested as well so I'll talk to my dad and see if we can get the fan and such cleaned, hopefully sometime next week.  ^^)

Matthew smiled softly and happily replied, "Oh yes, most definitely.  She's been making clothes for as long as I can remember and even before then, she used to make lots of sketches of beautiful dresses.  She was definitely meant to be a designer."

Lady Penelope nodded happily and Lycoris smiled softly and said, 

"I can't wait to try out the dresses she made for me. I am sure they will make me look more beautiful and elegant than ever."

(Thanks.  ^^  Part of me is really tempted to just buy a new comp but Folke says that we should wait until we're married and then he'll buy one for me.  lol)

Matthew replied, "But you already look very beautiful and elegant, Lycoris.  You really do.  Don't you agree, my lady?"

He looked to Lady Penelope for her response.

(lol I see. XD)

Lady Penelope nodded happily and said, "Of course, darling. I agree with Matt completely on this although it seems like you're even more beautiful in his eyes."

She giggled teasingly and Lycoris didn't say anything but blushed deeply.

(In case you're wondering, Folke and I are better than ever.  I think it was just that I had to try to understand him more and be patient with him and that isn't always easy.  lol)

Matthew blushed deeply and didn't say anything as well although he did secretly agree with Lady Penelope about Lycoris' beauty.

(Ahh I see. I am happy to hear that. ^^ I hope things always stay that way. XD)

Lycoris decided to break the silence and replied, 

"So umm, I wonder if it's around time for lunch? I am getting a little hungry. I guess it's because of the morning's excitement and all?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "I'm getting hungry, too.  How about we all head to the kitchen and ask how lunch is progressing.  We can find out what the chefs have planned for today."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yup, I'd like that and I am curious to know what they made for today."

Lady Penelope said, "And I'll join you, if that's ok."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Sure, my lady.  We'd love for you to join us."

He got up and after helping Lycoris to her feet, he led the way back inside the house and to the kitchen, where the chefs were busy making lunch for everyone.  The head chef saw the party enter and approaching them, he said,

"Welcome back.  It's always great to see you all."

(I'll go get off for the night now and take care of a few things before I go to sleep but I'll post again tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris smiled softly as she heard the head chef's comment and replied,

"Hello, sir. It's good to see you two. I can smell really delicious things around."

The head chef smiled and replied, "Thank you, miss.  We're preparing a delightful, seafood-themed lunch for today.  Some friend lobster, crab, and shrimp, some salad, and other side dishes.  Would you like to check out the different stations?"

(Sorry I didn't get the chance to post yesterday at all. Had college in the morning and then a lot of chores when I made it back. I'll be here as long as I can for today to make up though. ^^)

Lycoris nodded with a smile and replied,

"That all sounds so delicious and wonderful. Yes, please, I'd like to the check the different stations, if Matt doesn't mind."

(No worries.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "I certainly don't mind at all.  I'm curious to see what the chefs have prepared as well."

The head chef said, "You should check out the baked lobster section."

Matthew replied, "Sounds good.  Let's go."

He then led the party towards the station where a couple of chefs were preparing lobsters ready for baking.

Lycoris followed the head chef to the station where the lobsters were being baked. As she took in the smell, she happily commented,

"This is smelling really good. I guess these 'lobsters' are really delicious, aren't they? Are they sea creatures as well?"

One of the chefs who was preparing the baked lobsters replied, "Oh yes, miss.  Lobsters are sea creatures that live in the ocean.  Fishermen catch them in special baskets and they're brought to shore."

Another chef added, "We're currently preparing the lobsters and making a savory butter sauce so they'll taste especially delicious."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "I can't wait to try it out. The smell can make anyone hungry."

Lady Penelope nodded in agreement and said, "That's quite true. You have some of the best chefs at your home, Matt."

Matthew smiled and replied, "Yup, I definitely agree with you there, my lady."

The chefs smiled in return and the head chef replied, "It honors us to hear such compliments."

He then turned to Lycoris and asked, "Would you like to check out the crab salads next, miss?"

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"Yes, please. I guess 'crabs' are also sea creatures, right? Are they similar to lobsters?"

As the head chef led the way to the next station, he replied, "Yes, miss.  Crabs are also a type of sea creature.  They have hard shells like lobsters but they're much smaller and a little wider.  The taste is also different, as you'll find out."

The party made its way to the crabs salad station, where a chef was preparing the salad for the day.  The head chef asked, "How's it going?"

The chef replied, "It's excellent, sir.  The crab meat has been fully cooked.  I've cut it up and now I'm adding it to the other salad ingredients.  I'll make the dressing afterwards."

(I'm going to take care of a few things now before I go to sleep but I'll post again tomorrow and all.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris smiled happily and replied, 

"That sounds quite delicious. Can I ask what the dressing is, sir? What is made of?"

The chef happily replied, "It's a ranch dressing, miss."

He then told Lycoris of the ingredients of the dressing.  Matthew added, "It tastes very thick and rich.  Some dressings are like that while others are thinner."
