Romance RP

Lycoris clapped happily as Matthew finished off the song and then said,

"Yes, very much. Hey, you play nicely, you know. You just need to stop being so modest. I enjoyed that song a lot."

Matthew blushed deeply and replied, "Awww thanks.  I'm glad you liked it.  Would you like another piece?  A fast one or a slow one?"

Lycoris looked thoughtful and replied,

"Okay, how about a slow one this time? Let's see if you're just as good at them."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Sure, I can think of the perfect piece to play next."

He closed his eyes and after taking a breath, his fingers moved across the keyboard, as he played a slow, romantic ballad this time for Lycoris.

Lycoris sat back in her chair and smiled slyly, enjoying the romantic ballad that Matthew was playing for her. He played beautifully, and the fact that it was such a romantic song pleased her for some reason.

As Matthew continued to play the piece, he would cast occasional glances at Lycoris and smiled to himself, seeing how pleased she was.

Lycoris continued listening happily to Matthew's ballad, enjoying every tune. After he was eventually finished, she clapped happily and said,

"That was beautiful, as usual."

Smiling slyly, she asked, "That was quite the romantic song, wasn't it? But you played it so beautifully."

Matthew replied, "Awww thank you, Lycoris, and yup, I thought you would enjoy a romantic song.  Do you have any special requests on what you'd like me to play for you next?"

Lycoris looked thoughtful and then nodding, she slyly said, 

"Yup, I think I have something in mind. If I ask you to play a song that would express how you think of me at the moment, what would that be?"

She wanted to see if Matthew was starting to like her more or not.

Matthew looked thoughtful and replied, "Hmm, I think a song I would play is one that would show growing fondness and understanding of you.  What do you think about it?"

(Getting sleepy now so I'll get off for the night and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

(Sorry I didn't post at all today. It was my brother's birthday and all so we all went out to celebrate and all. ^^)

Lycoris grinned and said, "I'd love to hear that. Let's see how it sounds then."

(Ahh no worries.  I hope he had a wonderful day.  ^^)

Matthew nodded happily and positioning his fingers over the piano keys, he began to play a new song.  It was slow but rhythmic and it had a happy, loving beat to it, as Matthew glided his fingers, expressing his growing affection for Lycoris.

(Thanks and yup, he enjoyed his time. ^^)

Lycoris had a happy smile on her face as she listened to the music that Matthew played, happily enjoying the meaning it conveyed. It seemed that Matthew was starting to like her more and more importantly, he understood her, which made him the very first one to do so.

Matthew continued to play the piano, casting occasional glances at Lycoris to see her reaction, and he loved seeing her so happy, which made him happy.

(Random but I'd like to ask for your opinion on something.  I'm editing this article but I swear it doesn't have a concluding paragraph.  The other editor claims that it's fine but if I want to bug the writer, I can.  So that's implying that I'd be a bitch to bug the writer but I'd like you to take a look at the article, if it's ok.)

(Ahh sure, no problem. ^^ And ahh, maybe he didn't mean that and only said so naturally without meaning anything offensive. ^^)

Lycoris continued listening to Matthew's music, enjoying every tune. Once he eventually finished, she clapped happily and said, 

"I loved it. I am glad I asked you to play such a song for me."

(Thanks and yeah, she probably didn't mean it that way.  I know she's been sick and having personal problems but I've been taking an awful lot of work lately and it's hard on me with the weather and other things I'm dealing with as well but it's ok.  Anyway, I'll send you a PM after I make this post.  ^^)

Matthew smiled softly and replied, "Me, too."

Getting an idea, he then asked, "Hey, would you like me to teach you to play a little?  I can help guide your fingers."

(Ahh I took a look at it and yeah, it does end a little abruptly. lol I've seen reviews that end like that though so maybe it is a matter of preference? But yeah, personally I think it would be better if there was a concluding paragraph at the end. ^^)

Lycoris loved the idea and nodding happily, she said, 

"Yes, I'd love that."

She extended her hand and waited for Matthew to lead her to the piano and guide her.

(Ahh ok.  It does sound like you agree with me and probably the other editor doesn't mind the abrupt ending.  It just put me off but I guess I'll work with it.  ^^)

Matthew took Lycoris' hand gently led her to the piano.  He helped her to sit next to him and then guided her hands over the piano keys, explaining and the demonstrating them.

(Yup. XD)

Lycoris listened carefully as Matthew explained the piano to her and she tried to use her senses and hands to know where the keys were. She was interested in learning so she listened attentively.

After Matthew explained the basic workings of the piano, he helped Lycoris to play a few notes and then let her try it out on her own.  He would give his feedback and praise, letting her know how she was doing.

Lycoris would happily try whatever Matthew taught her and she loved hearing the tunes that she created with her own fingers, even if they were quite the simple ones. She happily commented,

"Hey, let's commit to this. I mean, that you teach me how to play the piano. This is really fun and I don't really need eyesight to do it."

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Sure, I'd love that.  You're my first student but you pick up playing pretty well.  And really, once you know the positioning of the piano keys, it's all about the feel of the piano.  I think music is more about playing with your feelings although there is the technical aspect as well."

Lycoris had a fond look over her face and impressed, she said,

"You know a lot about this, you know, even though you say you're just a beginner. Now I wonder how you would have been like if you were an expert or something. You'd have probably abandoned medicine for music, right?"

Matthew looked thoughtful and replied, "I may have reconsidered my career but I do love medicine and you know, I'm glad I chose the path that I did.  I mean, it led me to you, right?"

He blushed slightly as he said those latter words.

Lycoris blushed a little but then smiling slyly, she replied, "Really? So you like medicine now more because we met thanks to it?"
