Romance RP

(Yeah, I totally agree there. It's been pretty hot and humid here for the previous couple of years too. I mean, it's naturally hot but it's become always around 40 Celsius here. O.O)

Lycoris continued enjoying the ride as well, and as the two were on their journey, she said, 

"Whenever you feel tired, we can stop for a little bit. I'd like to take in the fresh air around here at one point."

(Yeah, that is totally insane.  We could keep our AC on all the time but the electricity bill would skyrocket.  You'd think that electricity companies would be a little easier because summers are so unbearable but nope.  T.T  And on another note, I really hope that I don't get harassed or bullied about the things that I do for a long time.  With all the bad things that keep happening, I think that I'm an evil person or something and if so, I want to know what I did that deserves such punishment.  T.T)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Ok." 

The couple continued to ride through the countryside and as they approached a nearby forest, Matthew ordered the horse to slow down.  He then said,

"We can take a break here.  There are some beautiful trees and we can enjoy their shade."

(Aww don't say that. :/ The evil people are definitely those who harass and bully, not vice versa. :/  I think it would help to get away from things for a while and try to have some alone time and all.)

Lycoris nodded and with Matthew's help, she got off the horse. Stretching her arms, she said, 

"Yup, the weather is perfect here. We can rest and the horse can take a break for a bit as well."

(Yeah but let's face it.  The evil people almost never get punished and that isn't how things should be.  I suppose that's why I'm not necessarily against vigilante justice in the end.  :/)

The horse whinnied happily and as Matthew got off, he chuckled and replied, "Yup, that's true and she sounds grateful for it."

He gently held Lycoris' arm and escorted her to the entrance of the forests where they could enjoy their shade.

(Ahh I don't think so. I mean, the punishment is usually not immediate and that's why most of us don't see it but that doesn't mean it never happens. I personally know of some 'evil' people who didn't get immediate punishment for their deeds but they never became truly happy or satisfied in life because various bad things kept happening to them/they never got what they want. So yeah, have faith that nobody gets away with their evil deeds, no matter how long the punishment takes. ^^)

Lycoris followed Matthew to the entrance of the forests as they started their walk, taking deep breaths as the air was fresher there. She said,

"This place is really good for just relaxing and doing nothing."

(Well, I'll try.  I usually believe in karma but it's kind of hard to nowadays.  :/)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, that's true and the forests are also a wonderful place to find natural resources.  Of course, there are all sorts of animals here, too."

The couple continued to enjoy their walk, enjoy all that the forests had to offer.

(I'm yawning quite a bit so I should go to bed now.  I'll go to sleep now but I'll post again tomorrow before I go out for the day.  Nite, nite, Love. ^^)

Lycoris continued walking by Matthew's side, enjoying his company and the relaxing atmosphere. She commented,

"You know, it would be so nice if things were always this peaceful. No troubles, no worries, nothing to be mindful about and just enjoying ourselves like this."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, that's true."

He paused and asked, "Lycoris, you would love living here, wouldn't you?  Devenshire is a really nice place to live in and there are very rarely any conflicts."

Lycoris looked thoughtful then replied, 

"I suppose I would although I would also like to see as much as possible of the world, you know. I want to explore many places, see a lot of new things and experience a lot of wonderful feelings. I don't want to be confined in one place, you know?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, I understand.  Well, you know, as a doctor, I do have to occasionally leave Devenshire to go to another kingdom to attend medical conferences and I get to experience a whole different area and culture.  So I can understand what you mean."

Lycoris smiled happily and replied,

"Really? So where did you get to go before? Did you travel to a lot of places, meet other people and so on?"

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Yup, I sure did."

He then described some of his experiences traveling and meeting with people to Lycoris, as she was very eager to learn about them.

(I'm watching a streamer on Twitch that I follow.  At least, that's something to take my mind off of gaming.  XD)

(Coolies. At least you found something to do and all. XD)

Lycoris listened eagerly to Matthew indeed, learning about his experiences and the things he went through as well as the people he met. After he was finished, she happily said,

"Man, I wish I could do all of that as well. It sounds wonderful."

(True.  This streamer is doing a 24 hour marathon so he's streaming when he normally wouldn't be.  XD)

Matthew smiled and replied, "You'd love it, Lycoris.  The medical conferences themselves can be boring but we do get free time to explore the area and such, too.  From what I heard, you've been to more places than I have."

(Kind of wishing that I had spending money so I could buy a game or two on Big Fish.  At least I'd still be able to game but I guess I'll just deal with things the best I can.)

(Aww I see. :/ I am wondering but if you switch Steam to offline, would the achievements still show up after you put it back on and all?)

Lycoris shrugged and replied,

"Well, I guess I have. I've grown up in the devils' world, lived for a while in the gods' world and here I am, in the humans' world. But I haven't always had the chance to discover and explore, you know. There would be always a trouble of some sort...and right when I had the chance to discover more and thought I could finally explore the world, I had my eyesight taken away."

(According to one friend, if I put my profile on private while I game, the achievements won't show and then I can switch it back to public.  That's not really the issue, though.  I really just want to hide my game activity on my profile page but there's no way to do that.  Folke and I talked btw-he reached out to me-and he did apologize and I did talk my ear off to him.  Gave him 3 long paragraphs on how his behavior hurt me and all.  He did apologize and claimed that he was feeling particularly annoyed for some reason on that day I sent you a PM but I don't get why he couldn't have warned me ahead of time that he was feeling that way.  I mean, if I get annoyed for whatever reasons, I usually try to warn the person ahead of time.  I think Folke won't care if I play YuGiOh or something else since he even admitted that he hasn't played it in a while so he was kind of a hypocrite to criticize me for not playing it.  I just feel kind of scared still because of all that.  It's not a great feeling, to say the least.  :/)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, I understand.  If I may ask, how was your eyesight taken?  I don't believe I know the story behind that."

(I see. That doesn't excuse his behavior still though. :/ I suppose you still can't game because you told him you would be on a vacation and all but at least he started feeling a little responsible. I just hope that he learns the lesson and doesn't repeat that behavior in the future again. :/)

Lycoris looked annoyed but then sighing sadly, she replied,

"I don't know if anyone told you about this before but Alex and I were married before. It's a long story but it made things pretty bad between me and Nerine, even worse than they were ever before. Alex particularly loved to praise my blue eyes, compare them to the ocean and such...so Nerine decided to take them away from me. She attacked me with a knife and that's how it happened."

Her body shivered as she recalled the terrible memory although she did her best to stay strong.

(Yeah, same here.  I'm just being cautious around him, despite that he apologized and is trying to make it up in his own way.  :/)

Matthew was saddened as he heard the story from Lycoris and after she finished, he hugged her and said,

"I'm so sorry.  That is absolutely horrible.  Nerine had no right to hurt you like that."

(I think the time away from him for a while will help. I mean, to sort our your thoughts and feelings and all. :/)

Lycoris smiled softly and returned Matthew's hug, but then she confidently said,

"Hey, it's in the past, isn't it? And you'll help me have my eyesight back so that's what matters."

She wanted to add that she also planned to get her revenge at Nerine, but she caught herself, as she knew Matthew wouldn't like to hear that.

(True.  I'll just keep busier with work things in the meantime and clean up around and reorganize things around my place.  I just wish I could do entertaining things as well but oh well.)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right and then you'll be able to see again and I look forward to seeing your eyes sparkle when your vision gets restored."

(Ahh maybe you can watch movies? I like to download movies and watch them on the laptop. It can be a great way to pass the time as well.)

Lycoris smiled slyly and replied, "Oh? But I hope you won't keep praising my eyes too much as well. I can't be sure of what women could go after me then."

(I suppose.  Guess we'll see.  If there were any new books I'm interested in, I'd consider buying one but yeah, I'll see what I can do.)

Matthew chuckled and replied, "Yes, I suppose you do have a point.  Let's continue our walk, shall we?"

He continued to describe the surroundings and such to Lycoris.

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off here for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and continued to walk by Matthew's side, enjoying the atmosphere around her and listening to him as he described the scenes around them.

(Ahh that's ok.  I'm going to sleep in a bit but I'll post while I can.  ^^)

As the couple continued their walk, Matthew said, "You know, another reason that I traveled was so I could talk to healers in other lands and learn from them.  It helped me to perfect my techniques.  Learning magic is quite amazing."

(Ok. ^^)

Lycoris smiled a bit and replied,

"You're really passionate about learning medicine and the magic of healing, right? Is it just because your dad is a doctor or do you really love helping people?"
