Romance RP

Ryan heard the knock on the door and assuming that it was the maid, he got up to open the door for her.  He then allowed the maid to enter and place the tray in the room.  After the maid took her leave, Ryan gestured to Lisianthus and said,

"Try it.  It should be tasty."

Lisianthus sat up slowly and looking at the soup, it looked tasty indeed although the nauseating feeling she had didn't really encourage her to try it. Feeling a bit hesitant as she didn't feel exactly well, she looked at Ryan and asked,

"Will this really make me feel better? I-I don't know. I really have no appetite."

Ryan nodded and replied, "It will.  Take it slow but once you have a sip, you'll feel yourself get better and want more."

He smiled softly and encouragingly at Lisianthus.

Although Lisianthus still looked hesitant, she took a breath and then reached out to take a sip of the soup using her spoon. Although she still felt sick, she felt slightly after she had taken a sip and was able to take another, slowly eating so she wouldn't get too sick suddenly but keeping it up so she would be able to finish it.

Ryan watched as Lisianthus continued to eat her soup and was glad that she was taking it, knowing that she would feel better after taking it.

Lisianthus continued eating her soup slowly, and eventually, she was able to finish it. She took a deep breath once she was done and lying down again, she said,

"Finally. But it tasted nice and yeah, I think I am feeling slightly better already."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I'm glad you were able to eat it all.  You should have some of the tea as well.  It's nice to drink it after the soup and then you should rest.  I'll even leave you be if you want."

Lisianthus shook her head immediately and replied, 

"No, I am not in the mood to drink anything. I'm glad I ate the soup on its own...the idea of resting now seems more appealing to me."

She was starting to feel a little drowsy and sleeping sounded like a good idea to her at that moment.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok."

He set the tray aside and getting up, he said, "I'll go see how Duchess Irene is doing.  You'll be sleeping?"

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Yeah."

She paused then said, "If there's anything urgent with work or anything that I need to be present with, let me know, ok? Even-even if I am sleeping. Just wake me up, I won't mind."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I will.  I'll come to you straight away if there's any work that needs your personal attention.  Please sleep well, Sia."

He smiled softly at her and then left her room, heading to Lisianthus' room, assuming that's where Irene would be.

Indeed, Irene was in Lisianthus' office, taking care of as much of Lisianthus' work as she could. Of course, there were certain issues that would need to wait for Lisianthus but as there was nothing urgent, Irene thought they could be postponed. However, there was one particular thing she knew and it disturbed her greatly.

As she heard a knock on the door, she gave permission for entrance, unaware that it was Ryan.

Ryan entered the room and bowing, he said,

"Hello, Duchess Irene.  Sia is sleeping now so I thought I'd check up to see how you're doing."

Irene smiled softly as she saw that it was Ryan who entered and gesturing for him to have a seat, she said,

"Thank you, Ryan. I'm doing well here. I still have a little more work to take care of but it's going smoothly. How is Lisianthus? Is she feeling better?"

(Back from work and all free.  ^^)

Ryan took a seat and nodding, he replied, "Yes, I think so.  She seemed to open up a little more to me, at least."

He told Irene of the details of his encounter with Lisianthus.

Irene listened to all the details Ryan told her and smiling a little, she said,

"Well, that's an improvement. I mean, she may have still asked you to leave but she was opening up to you as well, wasn't she? It will come gradually but it's coming."

Ryan nodded and smiling softly, he replied, "Yes, I believe so.  I'm glad that she took my suggestions and she's resting now.  I'm sorry to have asked you to do Sia's work but she was insistent on doing it herself and I figured that she'd be ok if you were the one handling it."

(Sorry it took me a bit. I was away from the comp but I am back now. XD)

Irene smiled and shaking her head, she replied,

"Not at all. I am glad that Lisianthus is getting better and I don't mind taking care of her work for today. Of course, I wasn't able to take care of everything as there are some matters that need her presence but nothing that can't wait."

(No worries.  XD)

Ryan replied, "Of course.  I understand.  Sia told me that if there are some matters that need her attention, that I should let her know right away.  But otherwise, the work is going ok?"

Irene replied, "Well, it is for the most part but..."

She looked a little troubled and looking down at the papers in front of her, she sighed and replied,

"I don't know. There's one matter that I found out that disturbed me and it seems that Lisianthus knows of it as well, but has taken no action towards it."

Ryan looked curious and replied, "Would you mind telling me, Duchess Irene?  Maybe Sia hasn't had the chance to take the time to think about the problem."

Irene looked at Ryan and with her troubled look still, she replied,

"Well, you know that Lisianthus isn't exactly popular between the people but...it seems that recently, there has been some information coming about some sort of a secret group forming of civilians trained with magic and sword arts with one goal: to take down the queen and have the chancellor come back as king. 

Although this group seems to be still just starting out, we can't let them grow and take no action. That's what I am surprised about. Lisianthus seems to know about this but she hasn't taken any action against them and this isn't like her at all."

Ryan looked troubled as well by this news and replied, "Maybe Sia hasn't gotten around to it because of the mess with me.  But this does need to be dealt with.  What can we do, though?"

He wanted to find a way to help and protect Lisianthus from this impending threat.

Irene replied, 

"There's plenty we can do. For starters, if we don't want to take any serious action, we can put spies between the group so that we can have their every move tracked. If we want to go extreme, we can even start arresting the group's members and break it down. The problem is, only Lisianthus can make such decisions. I don't know what she thinks about this and why she hasn't taken action already."

Ryan looked thoughtful and replied, "Once Sia wakes up, perhaps I can tell her about this and talk to her about this issue?  And for what it's worth, I'm sure that the chancellor doesn't want to return to power.  He even wants to come back here to face justice and I believe him."
