Romance RP

(Welcome back. XD)

Irene nodded in agreement although the shapeshifter didn't like the direction of this conversation, as it meant they needed to wait even longer and she hated that. But as she had no better suggestions, she didn't say anything.

Lady Penelope then said, "I guess there's nothing more we can do for now. We should all get some rest. We don't know what tomorrow holds but we have to be ready at all times."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, you are correct, my lady.  You and your daughter should return to our place and get some rest.  I'm sure the chancellor is wondering what's going on so it'd be a good idea if he could see you two and know that you're safe.

Meanwhile, the rest of us should head back to the castle."

Ryan asked, "Should we let Sia know that we figured out that she told Duke Collins about our plan?"

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "No, that isn't necessary.  Sia doesn't know that we figured it out and we could use that to our advantage in the future."

The shapeshifter raised an eyebrow and commented,

"I don't think she's that stupid to not figure it out by now. Isn't she with the duke? Wouldn't he tell her what he told you? Of course she'll know how knew. You don't have to go tell her in the face but don't expect that she doesn't know. After all, we didn't figure it out. The duke was the one to tell us."

Alex replied sadly, "Oh yeah, that's right.  Never mind then."

Ryan smiled a bit and replied, "It's ok.  Once we come up with another plan, we'll figure out what to do about Sia.  Hopefully, she'll come around by then and we won't have another worry on our minds."

Lady Penelope smiled a little as well and trying to help Ryan lighten the mood a bit, she said,

"That's true. Let's take it bit by bit one step at a time and I have faith things will come around eventually."

Irene nodded in agreement then the shapeshifter got up and said, 

"I and mom will take our leave then." She turned to Alex and said, "You'll keep me updated?"

Alex nodded and replied, "I will."

Ryan added, "I guess we part ways here then.  We should all get our sleep and in the morning, our minds will be fresh so we can talk more then."

Irene got up as well and replied, "Okay. We can all take the carriage back to the castle so we can get our rest."

Lady Penelope curtseyed politely to the party and said, "Please excuse us. We'll see you all soon."

She then left with her daughter, while Irene led the other party out of her office and back to the carriage to go back to the castle.

As Alex, Ryan, Nerine, and Irene were heading back to the castle via carriage, Alex asked,

"Should we all meet up in the morning in the dining hall as usual?  I mean, it's going to be awkward with Sia there now."

Ryan sighed, and replied, "That's probably a moot point.  Sia's been avoiding us so it won't be an issue."

Irene sighed and after a moment of silence, she replied, 

"I doubt Lisianthus would go down to eat with us if she knew that we're there. But perhaps to be on the safe side, we can gather in any room of ours to eat together."

She paused then said, "But I'll talk to her. I won't hold myself from facing her and asking her why she did that."

Ryan looked thoughtful and replied, "I think we should all meet up in the dining room as usual.  If nothing else, Bryan and Rosaline will be wondering why we all stopped eating together."

Alex nodded and added, "Avi, too.  Yeah, I think you're right.  We shouldn't try to change our routine too much for now."

Irene nodded and replied, "If you will feel better doing that, then that's fine. I have no problem with it."

The carriage soon made it back at the castle and the driver stopped in front of the castle's gate then hopped off to open the door for the party and help them out.

Alex got out and helped Nerine out of the carriage and then Ryan got out and helped Irene out.  As they headed back inside the castle, Ryan said,

"I'll be heading to my room.  I could use some sleep."

Alex replied, "My darling and I should get some sleep, too."

Irene nodded and said,

"I'm going to my room as well. We'll all meet up tomorrow morning then. Please excuse me."

She curtseyed politely then took her leave.

Ryan nodded and then took his leave as well.  Alex then held Nerine's arm and as they headed to their room, he commented,

"Gosh, what a day.  I'd hoped things would have turned out better but yeah."

Nerine sighed sadly and replied,

"At least you all came back safely. I was really worried that harm may come to any of you, especially you. And at least we know that Lycoris is somewhere safe, right? Sia would never hurt her."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true.  Sia clearly must not be thinking straight to do what she did or even to listen to Lycoris.  Lycoris tried to explain the situation to her but she said that Sia was too upset."

Nerine sighed sadly and replied, 

"I-I am really worried about her. I know you must be angry at her but I know Sia and I know that she wouldn't normally act like this. She must be quite upset and hurt that she's not thinking clearly anymore."

Alex replied, "I'm not angry at Sia.  More like I'm sad that she did this.  I mean, if she was going to tell Duke Collins, you'd think that she would have had the decency to tell us that she couldn't approve of our plan or something.  It's obvious that we can't let her in on anything and this was all her own doing.  I don't know.  Maybe I am a little angry at her.  I feel like she just stabbed us because she's angry and she wanted revenge or something."

Nerine was saddened by Alex's words and it showed on her face. She replied sadly,

"I-I know but...I am sure that wasn't the only reason, Alex. Like, you know that she was against Lycoris giving up her powers from the beginning and that's why we hid things from her in the first place. Maybe she wanted to stop us from doing that although she went a bit extreme."

Alex replied, "I suppose but to not even tell us.  I don't know if it was her intention but I felt like she deliberately chose not to tell us what she was planning to do, you know?"

Nerine replied, "Maybe she thought that if she told us, we wouldn't agree to that? Or maybe she's intentionally hiding Lycoris from us. After all, her goal is to prevent us from finding her and helping her give up her powers."

Alex sighed and replied, "But it's what Lycoris wants and isn't Sia upsetting Lycoris by interfering with her wishes?"

He shook his head, feeling as though a slight headache were coming on.

Nerine sighed sadly and seeing that this conversation wasn't going anywhere, she said,

"Let's put this aside for now. Thinking about it won't take us anywhere. Let's wait for what the days to come have hidden for us."

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that sounds like the best plan to me."

The couple arrived in their room and after the door was closed, Alex asked,

"Do you want to use the bathroom first, darling?"

(If I'm slow in posting btw, it's because I'm gaming so yeah.  XD)

Nerine nodded and replied, 

"Okay. I'll be quick, my love."

She went to the closet and fetched herself a nightgown then entered the bathroom to change for the night.
