Stacey replied, "I love it, too. We've had so many happy memories there."

Megan added, "Me, too. Our home is perfect!"

Alex cautiously approached Nerine and touching her arms, he quietly replied,

"If you do love me, then give me a chance. Give us a chance. I can't live if I don't have a glimmer of hope that we can have that love between us."

He wanted hope and if Nerine couldn't give him that, then Alex would have difficulty finding a reason to live.

William turned to Megan and asked, "So I take that you like living in the forests, Megan? I was thinking before about getting a house in town so you'd be closer to school and all. What do you think about this?"

Nerine looked at Alex sadly and didn't know what to do. She didn't want to lie and tell him that she could take it anymore. But telling him otherwise could lead him to really do what he was planning to do.

Quietly, she replied, "I gave you so many chances. I forgave you so many times and I was ready to forget all the pain and misery but you never kept a promise. I won't be able to take in any other hurt. I've already lost everything. I loved you, but you didn't love me back."

Megan thought about the idea and then replied,

"It doesn't matter where we live as long as we're together. I like living in the forests with you and Stacey."

Alex replied, "I haven't shown you that I do love you-that I still do."

He got down on his knees and pleading Nerine with his eyes, he said,

"I give this vow to you, now and forever, that I love you and that I will do everything in my power to show you that I do. I will not cause you any more pain than I already have. You are my only reason to live and I can't bear it if that reason is taken away."

(Since it's getting late here, I should get off for the night now and get some sleep. But I'll check back tomorrow and post again. Nite, nite, Love. ^^)

William nodded and replied, "We share the same opinion then. I love living in the forests in the quiet and peace and it's not that far from town. And we have lots of memories there which I don't want to lose."

Nerine looked at Alex sadly, her eyes full of tears. She didn't know what to do. She wanted to give Alex another chance to fix things but she was afraid of being hurt again.

She quietly replied between her sobs,

"How do I know that you'll keep this vow? That this is not another lie, another promise to be broken? And what about Lycoris? Do you not love her anymore? Do you suddenly love me more? Why didn't you remember that love before, when the chance was still there? Why? I don't want to be hurt again, Alex. I won't be able to take it in."

Megan nodded happily and replied, "Same here. It has lots and lots of wonderful memories."

Stacey smiled and added, "I feel the same and it's surrounded by nature."

Alex replied, "It's not a lie. I promise to be for you and only you. And I won't deny that I care about Lycoris but you are my wife and you are the one I will put first before anyone else. I know I've hurt you and I didn't know that before but I want to make up for all the pain I caused you. Please, please, give me a chance to fix things between us."

William nodded happily and replied,

"That sure is true. Then staying in our home it is then. And ahh, once we return, we're going to take care of building a room for you, Megan, so you can have your very own space."

Nerine let the tears in her eyes flow and looking at Alex sadly, she replied,

"Stop lying. Stop it. You don't just care about Lycoris-you love her and this is why you say every time. You tell me that this time, it's going to be all good and you're going to love me only, but once she shows up, you forget about everyone just for her. Stop lying to me, stop it!"

Megan hugged William and replied, "Thanks, William. I'd like that."

Stacey added, "We want only the best for you, Megan."

Alex got up and seeing that Nerine wasn't going to be persuaded that he was telling the truth, he quietly replied,

"If you don't believe me, then I do have nothing to live for. Don't stop me this time."

He ran off towards the castle, the tears flowing faster.

Bryan witnessed the whole scene and turning to Rosaline, he said,

"Shouldn't we do something?"

William nodded in agreement and replied,

"Yup and if there's anything else you want or need, do tell us, ok? We'll do our best for you."

Nerine immediately ran after Alex, calling after him,

"Alex, stop! Please, come back! Don't do this!"

Rosaline witnessed how things were turning out and nodding, she replied,

"We should. This is getting serious."

Megan smiled and replied, "Thanks. I'm just happy to have you both in my life and to have a family again."

Stacey gently stroked Megan's hair and replied, "And we're happy to have you be part of our family."

However, Alex continued to run, knowing that there was no way Nerine would ever believe in him again.

Meanwhile, Bryan turned to Rosaline and said, "You go to Alex and stop him from whatever he's about to do and I'll talk to Nerine, ok?"

William smiled warmly and kissing Megan on her forehead, he replied,

"And we're lucky to have you part of our family. We couldn't have been happier."

Rosaline nodded and replied, "Alright."

She ran after Alex as fast as she could and fortunately, Rosaline was pretty fast so she could catch up with him. She said,

"Alex, stop this madness right away!"

Stacey kissed Megan's right cheek and added, "That's right. You've made our lives all the happier, Megan."

Megan blushed and replied, "Aww thanks, you two."

Alex turned to Rosaline and stopping for the moment, he replied, "What do you want?"

Meanwhile, Bryan ran to Nerine and once he reached her, he said, "I saw what happened. You've got to talk to him and give him a chance. I know he's hurt you many times, Nerine, but if you've closed off on him, he'll give up."

William smiled warmly and they continued walking happily for a while more, before it was eventually getting late. William noticed this and said,

"We should probably head back now unless you want to walk some more."

Rosaline faced Alex and replied, "Stop this. What do you think you're doing? Do you think that would solve things? That would make Nerine happy?"

Nerine turned to Bryan and losing control over herself, she cried at him,

"Just like I gave up! I tried so many times to get him back to me but he's shown me nothing but hurt and agony! But I don't want him to die. I don't want that. But I already lost hope so don't come talking to me now!"

Megan replied, "We can go back. We need to sleep early to see the sunrise tomorrow, right?"

Stacey nodded and replied, "Yup, that's right. We should probably turn in early for the night."

Alex replied, "What's the point? Nerine won't listen to me. She thinks I'll lie to her over and over. I know I've made mistakes but I'm trying to mend things and she's given up on me. What am I supposed to do?"

Bryan took a deep breath and as calmly as he could, he replied, "If you don't want him to die, you have to give him a reason to live. Right now, he looks like he has no reason to live. But you can change that. Just give him a chance even though I know he's hurt you a lot. You're a forgiving soul, Nerine, and I know you can find it in your heart to do so."

William nodded and replied, "Okay, then let's go."

He led the way back to the inn and once there, up to their room.

Rosaline looked kindly at Alex and replied, "Then will you give up, too? Alex, Nerine is feeling hurt and that feeling won't go away so simply. Just give her time and don't give up on her. You love her, right?"

Nerine shouted back uncontrollably,

"Now he doesn't have a reason to live?! Why do you do this to me, people? Why do you keep playing with me like that?! I don't want to be hurt anymore. I can't take it anymore! I am not a doll you play with and then throw whenever you want! I have feelings, feelings!"

Once the family arrived back at their room, Stacey turned to Megan and said, "You can go ahead and use the bathroom first, Megan. We'll wait."

Megan nodded and after getting a pair of pajamas, she went to the bathroom to wash up and change.

Alex sighed and replied, "I do. I've never stopped loving her but she doesn't believe me. What's the point? I've tried everything I could think of her to persuade her but she thinks I'm nothing more than a liar. What would you do?"

Bryan held Nerine by the shoulders and replied, "You need to stop this. I know you're hurt-I can see that you're hurt. But you aren't the only one hurting. Alex is aware that he's hurt you although he didn't know how much until recently.

Please, Nerine, just calm down, ok?"

Once they were alone, William approached Stacey and wrapping his arms around her waist, he looked at her romantically and said,

"I love the moments I get to be with you alone."

Rosaline replied, "I understand, Alex, but you need to be understanding, too. Nerine's been through a lot and the hurt doesn't go away so easily. She may think of you as a liar now but if you do take some real action to make her think otherwise, she'll believe you. You need to show her that you still truly love her."

Nerine pulled away from Bryan and that look coming back to her eyes, she replied,

"And it's too late. He realized now when my heart is already too broken and my soul is way too crushed. I can't take it anymore. No one ever felt what I felt so stop it. Stop it! Leave me alone, leave me alone!"

Stacey wrapped her arms lovingly around William's neck and gazing back into his eyes, she softly replied,

"I love these moments with you, too, handsome. We had such a fun day, didn't we?"

Alex thought about Rosaline's words and then replied, "What action do you suggest I take?"

Bryan shook his head and stubbornly staring at Nerine, he replied, "I won't do that. You're my friend and I'm not leaving you. I'm trying to help you."

William nodded happily and replied, "We sure did and now I am going to top it off."

He leaned in to give Stacey a sweet kiss on the lips.

Rosaline looked thoughtful then replied, "Well, this may sound a little mean but stay away from Lycoris and try to be as neutral towards her as possible. Then spend as much time as possible with Nerine. And I know this may sound like too much but maybe...divorce Lycoris?"

Nerine replied between her tears, "You can't help me. Nothing can help me. I already lost all hope. I am like an empty shell now, with nothing to do, nothing to live for, nothing to want. I want nothing. I want nothing anymore. Just leave me alone. Leave me alone."

Stacey happily returned the kiss, pouring all her love and passion into it.

A few moments later, Megan left the bathroom, having changed into a light blue pair of pajamas and her hair was neatly brushed. She saw the couple kissing and shook her head, quietly putting her clothes away.

Alex replied, "I can stay away from Lycoris and have minimal contact with her but I don't know if I can divorce her. That would be like saying I no longer love her..."

Bryan wrapped his arms around Nerine and emphatically replied,

"I'm not doing that. You're my friend and I care about you. And even if that doesn't matter, what about your parents? They sacrificed for you, right? They wanted you to live and make the most out of your life. I know I have no right to say this but would they want you to give up because things are so down right now?"

William continued kissing Stacey for a few more sweet moments before eventually breaking it off. He gazed happily into her eyes then noticed Megan, who had gone out of the bathroom. Smiling to her, he said,

"I should definitely give my little pretty her kiss too, right?"

Rosaline sighed as she heard Alex's response and looking at him seriously, she replied,

"Alex, who do you care about more here, Nerine or Lycoris? Who'd you rather be with more, love more? I want a direct, honest answer. Ask your heart and answer me."

Nerine looked up at Bryan and although she might have gotten angry at him for mentioning her parents, she wasn't angry, but she was immensely depressed. Replying, she quietly said,

"What do you know about my parents? They loved me, they wanted me happy. That's why they cursed me-so that if I am not happy, if I couldn't find love by the time I'm eighteen, I'd die. You hear? Because death is a lot better than feeling lonely, neglected and miserable. Things aren't just down for me, I've already lost all hope! I've been betrayed by the only man I've ever loved, my very own sister and my own cousin. Even my old friend is taking their side now. What hope is left then? I only wanted love back. Now I've got nothing and no one. Just leave me be, leave me be!"

Megan jumped up and down and replied, "Yes, yes, I want kisses, too!"

She ran to William and happily awaited for her kisses.

Alex averted his eyes away from Rosaline and after a minute of silence, he replied,

"I love them both. I know that's weird to say but I can't choose one over the other. It's like how it is for you, right? I mean, you love two guys at the same time or am I wrong?"

Bryan sighed and replied, "I understand that you view things in that way but if you look at the same situation from the others' point of view, you might see things differently. For instance, I don't think Alex doesn't love you anymore. He's trying to make things work between you and him. If he no longer loved you, he wouldn't try. And as for Avi, he doesn't know everything that's happened, right? So he doesn't know the whole situation. It would help if everyone would be willing to talk things out."

William leaned over Megan and gave her a couple of kisses on each cheek. Smiling warmly to her, he said,

"Happy now, my little pretty?"

Rosaline was a little surprised as Alex mentioned that she was in love with two guys-how could he have known? Did she show too much sadness over the news of Ryan and Lisianthus? Was it that clear?

Overcoming her surprise, she replied,

"Umm yeah but you know, I didn't let things go out of hand with me. I was always careful not to hurt Bryan and I always put him first. And I was always honest with him, I never lied to him or hid anything. That's different from how things are with you and Nerine."

Nerine turned her head to the side and replied,

"Alex may be trying out of sympathy or guilt, but if he had ever loved me, he would have never hurt me like he did. He would at least watched out for my feelings. As for Avi, does it even matter? He knows what she did to me yet he takes her side on anything."

Megan grinned and replied, "Much, much better!"

Stacey giggled and replied, "I'm happy that you're happy, Megan. I'll go get ready now."

She took a clean nightgown and then went into the bathroom to wash up and change.

Alex faced Rosaline and replied, "Explain to me how my situation is different from yours."

Bryan looked confused as Nerine replied that Avi knew everything about what Lycoris did and yet he still sided with her. He asked,

"Are you sure about that? I mean, I don't know if Avi knows everything unless you told him in private that I'm not aware of?"

After Stacey had entered the bathroom, William picked up Megan in his arms and looking happily at her, he asked,

"My lovely daughter wouldn't mind if I carried her to bed, right?"

Rosaline took a deep breath and replied, "Like I said, I was honest with Bryan from the beginning. As soon as I realized that I loved Ryan, I told him. Well, maybe I hid that I was seeing him in the beginning but we were just friends back then. Only when Bryan told me it's ok to love Ryan did I continue that relationship with him. If Bryan had told me that it wasn't, I would have never continued it.

And I always put Bryan first, you know. I always took special care to his feelings about the matter, especially after his amnesia. You, on the other hand, treated Nerine differently. From what I know, you loved two women other than her and put her aside."

Nerine replied,

"He does know that she tried to drug me before, and how she always tried to steal Alex from me. I told him everything yet he always finds excuses for her, especially after spending so much time in her company. Avi is a sympathetic character and Lycoris is sure good at looking like the victim."

Megan shook her head and blushing, she replied, "Not at all. I want my strong, handsome daddy to tuck me in."

Alex sighed sadly and replied, "So you agree with Nerine? You think that I loved others more than I love her? It's not like I meant to."

He sighed again. It seemed as though others thought that he was this terrible person who didn't care if others got hurt when that wasn't the case.

Bryan replied, "But you believe that Lycoris isn't a victim? That's she more of a villain? I know her actions make it look so but did she ever tell you her reasons-explain them herself?"
