Poem of me.

Im a poet. I thought i'd share this with you =3

I won this one in a contest.

Quarreling Hearts: Two hearts become one

We fought and scream, and blamed each others indifference,
we quarrel who was the best or foolish, cause we caused each other interferance.
She swung her sword, i blocked it with my shield,
I took up my sword afterwards, and fought against her on the battle field.
High above the cliff of anger, the deep Ravine filled with hate,
should one of us become defeated, we throw them over to seal there fate.

We clashed and kicked, Punch and yelled,
It seemed our indifferences could not quelled.
But as we brought our swords high, and charged at each other at our fastest pace,
We both fell over to see our graves below, the imagination of us both being defeated was right before our face.

As we descend to our doom, we continued to quarrel,
Two blossoms sticking thorns into one another, refusing to unferral.
I cried to her, what was the reason behind her rage,
But she continued to slash at me, like her trueself inside was locked up and caged.

We defend with all our energy and brought the sword onto each other, as we both fell.
We forgot the predictament we were in, how far we fell was hard to tell.
She finally grew tired, and yelled out in pain,
"Since you've hated me before, Lifes never been the same!"

I could see her tears, as they fell from her eyes,
"But i never did, i cannot lie!", but everytime i convinced her i never did, she told me it was lies.
I saw the ground grow closer, and our bodies growing tired,
Our bodies ached, like someone set us afire.

I told her "I never hated you to begin with, i loved you from the start",
She told me "Then why have you broken my heart?! Why were we set apart?!.
I replied as best as i could, and i just hoped she heard before we hit the ground,
So i let my shield of darkness and sword of hatred go, and gripped her sword, as i heard every cry she made, and every sound.

She fought to keep fighting, but we both knew our doom was so near.
She looked at me with a broken heart, and eyes full of fear.
I took her sword from her, and threw it away as we fell,
She drifted there crying her eyes out, her tears had alot to tell.

"I loved you before, why would we be apart to begin with?"
"Your action say enough, your the one who caused this rift!"
As the ground grew closer, it was a matter of seconds, so i held at my hand and arm,
"ill always love you, and i'll always protect you from harm."

"If it was my fault, then give me the blame. I just want us to be together again"
She stared at me and she teared even more she looked at me as i saw the fear fade from her eyes, knowing love was reclaimed,

She took my hand, hugged me close to her, and kissed my lips. And we held one another,
We closed each others eyes, waiting to hit the ground so we can die together.
But as we closed our eyes, we heard a gentle birds call.
We opened our eyes, safe on the ground and far from the fall.

We gazed into the sky and saw the light above.
As it faded, the light came in the form of a dove.
We held the olive branch together, that was in its beak.
We no longer cared for the indifferences we had, the love is what we now intend to seek.

She gazed into my eyes, and i gazeds into her's as well.
We both blossomed and unferraled, as the sunset fell.

Yup, I agree. That was a really deep poem. I liked it. I wonder if it's based on real-life experience.

... I don't really know. I think at the time i wrote it, something like this went on but i just didnt have a poem at the time for Ramona's enchanter poetry contest. She coaxed me into it and i just came up with this on the fly. ^_^;

But im glad you all think its great ^_^

That's a wonderful and touching poem, Omega ^^ A love relationship that went bitter but the lovers reconciled in the end.
