Romance RP

Matthew replied, "I know I don't have to but I want to.  I know that neither of us expected to meet the way we did but I'm glad it happened and I'm happy that you're staying with me.  And you know that I'll do everything in my power to help and protect you."

Lycoris smiled gratefully and replied,

"Thank you, Matt. That's why I say that you're such a wonderful person, you know. Although you're putting yourself in danger in a way and a lot of trouble, you still insist on helping me and I am eternally in debt to you for it."

Matthew touched Lycoris' hands gently and replied, "You don't owe me anything, Lycoris.  Just spending time with you and being with you is more than payment enough.  I've never been happier than when I'm with you."

Lycoris blushed quite deeply and couldn't help but remember Olivia's words that moment. She pulled away her hands shyly and feeling overwhelmed by that feeling, she replied quietly,

"Thank you, Matt. I-I am glad my company is good enough for you."

Matthew replied happily, "I'd say that your company is the best."

Seeing how shy Lycoris was on this topic of conversation, he decided to change the topic so he said,

"You know, you have yet to tell me what your favorite meal is.  You should have at it while you're here and I can even cook it for you if you'd like."

(Sorry for the delay. I was having lunch and all. XD)

Lycoris was relieved that Matthew changed the subject and smiling, she said,

"I don't know if I have a favorite meal but I do like desserts. Hmm, if I have to choose a meal though, maybe fried rice? I had it a while ago and it tasted really nice and simple."

(Ahh no worries.  Welcome back.  XD)

Matthew nodded and replied, "I see.  Do you have a particular favorite kind of fried rice?  There's seafood, vegetable, beef, and pork.  Those are the ones I know of."

(Random but seafood fried rice is my favorite.  XD)

(Hmm I am pretty sure I'd love that too, if I tried it. I love rice and seafood, excluding fish, although I haven't tried the dish itself. XD)

Lycoris looked thoughtful and replied,

"Oh I don't think I tried all of these but I think I tried seafood at one point and I liked it a lot. Umm I tried a lot of things during my stay in the gods' world and at Ryan's home too although I don't know everything I tried. I mean, the ones at the gods' world. Ryan would always tell me about the food he would cook first."

(Ahh I see.  Yeah, you should try it out sometime when you get the chance.  I love how there are shrimp and crab in it.  XD)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Ahh I see.  Well, I'll do my best to tell you what we're having so you know exactly what you're eating and I can tell you what the meals are made from."

He looked thoughtful and added, "Since you've only had fried rice, perhaps I can ask the chefs to prepare all kinds of fried rice and have a sampler variety so you get a chance to try them all?"

(Getting sleepy now so I'll get off for the night and go to sleep.  I actually have work tomorrow since I have to make up for a class I didn't have last Friday but I will be able to post before I go to work.  Anyway, nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

(Ahh I understand and take your time. Nite, nite. ^^)

Lycoris replied happily, "I'd love that. I mean, I haven't a dish that has many varieties yet so I'd really like to."

She paused then looking a bit troubled, she said, "But wouldn't that be trouble to them or anything? I don't wish to bother them."

(Thanks.  My make up class isn't until later today so I'll post now while I can.  ^^)

Matthew chuckled softly and replied, "Not at all.  The staff love it when we have guests.  It's quite rare that we have them so they love to go all out so I'm sure they won't mind preparing a variety platter, especially for you, Lycoris."

(Ok. ^^)

Lycoris blushed a bit and smiling happily, she said,

"Well, ok then. In that case, I'd love that. It would be my first time trying different versions of a single dish and I am really curious to taste how that would be."

(Back now.  I'm checking on some things and then I need to clean up around here but I'll be back as soon as I'm done.  ^^)

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Then great.  When would you like to have the dish, Lycoris?  For today's dinner perhaps?"

(Coolies. Take your time and I'll log in again when you're here. ^^)

Lycoris looked thoughtful and smiling, she said,

"Sure, I'd love that. I am curious to try it as soon as possible so having it for today's dinner sounds great."

(Thanks.  All done now and I'll be here until I turn in for the night.  ^^)

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Great.  Shall we head to the kitchen now and tell the chefs?  I bet that if you're the one telling them, they'd be more than happy to oblige."

(Coolies. Sorry it took me a bit to be here; I was having lunch and all. XD)

Lycoris blushed shyly but nodding happily, she said,

"Well, ok. Let's go now. I hope it wouldn't be too much trouble for them."

(No worries.  XD)

Matthew replied, "I'm sure it won't be."

He got up and helped Lycoris to her feet.  Gently touching her arm, he then escorted her out of the room and towards the kitchen.  Once they were there, the head chef saw the couple and smiling, he said,

"Welcome back, miss.  Is there something we may do for you?"

Lycoris smiled softly and nodding politely to the head chef, she replied,

"There is, sir, if it isn't too much trouble. I-I was just telling Matt that I really like fried rice although I only tried the seafood type. So umm, is it ok if I ask for a variety platter of fried rice, to try other types like vegetables and beef? But only if it isn't trouble."

The head chef nodded enthusiastically and replied, "Of course, miss.  We'd more than happy to.  We can also make some egg drop soup, egg rolls, and dumplings.  Make this dinner have a special theme.  Does that sound delicious?"

Lycoris' eyes lit up happily as the head chef mentioned the other foods he'd make and nodding happily, she said,

"Yes, yes, I'd really love that. These are some foods I haven't tried before. Umm, if I may ask, sir, you mentioned they would have a special theme? Do these foods have something in common?"

The head chef nodded and replied, "Oh yes, miss.  You see, in certain parts of the human world, special foods are cooked there.  Here, fried rice isn't a common dish but rather a more specialty one.  It's more common in the eastern part of the world so that is what I meant.  I'm excited to prepare this evening's meal.  It's going to be wonderful."

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded in understanding and smiling happily, she said,

"Thank you very much, sir. I look forward to it already and I am sure it will taste just wonderful. Everything you've cooked for us has only tasted great so far."

The head chef smiled warmly and replied, "Thank you, miss."

Getting an idea, he asked, "If you're not too busy, miss, would you and the master like to stay here while we prepare dinner?  I can describe how we cook the food.  Perhaps that might interest you?"

(I'll be going to work later today but I'll post now while I can.  ^^)

(Ok. ^^ I'm going to college in a bit myself so I'll be late posting but I'll post as soon as I am back and all. ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "I'd love that."

Addressing Matthew, she asked excitedly, "Can we stay, Matt? I really want to know how they would prepare all this delicious food. Please say yes."

(No worries.  My class got cancelled so I'll actually end up staying home although I might have a make up class later this week as a result.  We'll see.  ^^)

Matthew chuckled softly and nodding, he replied, "Of course, Lycoris.  I think it'd be fun to stay and see how the chefs prepare such foods.  I know the kitchen is always lively right before mealtimes although I rarely have a chance to be here during those times."
