Romance RP

Alex shook his head and replied, "Not at all.  We just got here ourselves.  How are you all?  Did you have a pleasant afternoon?"

Bryan nodded and replied, "Yup, we sure did.  It was great to spend time with Ryan and Avi."

Rosaline smiled and nodding happily, she said, "It was indeed. It's been a while since we all spent some time together."

They took their seats and a few minutes later, Duchess Irene's arrival was announced and she made her way into the dining room. Giving a small smile to everyone, she said, 

"Good evening, all."

Ryan bowed politely to Duchess Irene before resuming his seat and replied,

"Welcome back, Duchess Irene.  I take it that your day went well?"

Irene nodded and replied, "It was a peaceful day, no surprises and nothing out of usual. An uneventful day, I guess."

She took her seat then noticing Lisianthus' absence, she said, "Lisianthus won't come down to eat dinner either?"

Bryan replied, "Oh we saw Sia earlier and she took Melody because she had some business matters to attend to so I don't think she'll be back in time for dinner."

Ryan nodded, confirming what Bryan said,

(Getting sleepy here so I'll go to sleep for the night.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Irene furrowed her eyebrows in concern but she nodded without saying anything. She asked a nearby maid to fetch dinner which the maid left to do immediately. 

After a moment of silence, she contacted Ryan telepathically and asked,

Ryan, have you tried contacting Lycoris today?

Ryan replied,

No, I haven't but I will this evening.  I'd contact her now but I think the others will see how distracted I am and I should contact her when I'm alone in my room.


He paused and added,

There is something I want to bring up with you as well but away from the others.  I mean, Alex and Nerine can listen in since this does involve Lycoris.

Irene was concerned as Ryan mentioned that there was something he wanted to tell her and curiously, she asked,

What happened? Did you find out anything that could help lead us to Lycoris?


(I am enrolled in this clinical course that's going to start today so in case I am late posting later or if I don't catch up, you know why. XD Hopefully it ends early however and I am free to post again when I am back. ^^)

(Ahh ok, I understand.  No worries.  ^^)

Ryan replied,

Well, there are two things actually.  First, when the others mentioned about Sia taking Melody, I got this feeling that she was going to see Lycoris.  I don't have any proof; it's just a gut feeling.

Irene furrowed her eyebrows and was silent for a moment, thinking about the possibility, and after a few minutes, she replied,

Why not? It's quite possible. After all, Lisianthus will definitely want to remain close to Lycoris to make sure she's safe.

Ryan replied,

Yes, that's true.  At least we know that Lycoris is being well cared for although I wish I knew where she was.

Irene replied,

Me too. Lycoris said she'll talk things with Lisianthus, didn't she? We can only hope things work out.


She paused then continued,

What's the second thing you wanted to say?

Ryan replied,

Well, Rosaline brought up this idea and I don't think it's a bad one.  Do you know of any nobles who are close to Duke Collins?  They might know where he and Lycoris could be hiding.  Surely, he must have friends.

Irene was thoughtful for a couple of moments then replied,

There are a couple Duke Collins has some relationship to but they're not exactly close. He's a paranoid person by nature, as you may have guessed already, and doesn't trust many people. But I can try talking to them.

Ryan replied,

Please do.  That would help.  I'm curious but why would you say that Duke Collins is a paranoid person?

Irene replied,

As I said, he nearly doesn't trust anyone. He's not the kind of a person to place his faith in someone, you know? He wouldn't reveal any secrets to anyone unless he extremely has to. That's why he doesn't have many friends.

Ryan replied,

I see and yet he's popular among the people to the point where they'd support him?


He raised an eyebrow, disbelief written on his face.

Irene replied,

Because they don't know his personality, and he wouldn't show it to them. How he behaves in front of us isn't how he behaves in front of people, you know, or strangers in general. He tends to show a friendly, kind and generous face that gets people to get a good impression of him. In addition, he does serve his duchy's people pretty well so they have no reason to complain despite anything.

Ryan replied,

I see.  I suppose he's a two-faced person then.


He gave a slight frown although it quickly disappeared before it could be noticed by the others.

Shortly after, a few maids returned carrying trays of dinner and laid them in front of the party before taking their leave. Irene gestured for everyone to start eating and meanwhile, she contacted Ryan telepathically again to say,

Do contact Lycoris after dinner and ask her about Lisianthus. If she truly went to her, we'd know at least.

Ryan replied,

I will.  I want to make sure that Lycoris is ok and I'll try to find out any information that I can.


He then began to eat his food as well.

Irene replied,

Alright. Please let me know about anything you know and I'll do the same of course.


She started eating her food as well, as did everyone else, enjoying the dinner which was hot and delicious.

As everyone continued to eat, Bryan turned to Duchess Irene and asked,

"How was your day, my lady?  Was it busy at the academy as usual?"

Irene looked to Bryan and smiling softly, she said,

"Indeed. The academy is always busy and bustling with students but that's what gives it life and beauty. The teachers are doing their best to help the students and they in return do their best to study hard. There are tens of talented students that graduate from the academy every year."

Bryan smiled and replied, "The academy sounds wonderful.  It reminds me of the music conservatory I graduated from.  It was quite selective in who would be admitted and the students who graduated would become famous musicians."
