Romance RP

(That's a good idea. I hope you feel better soon. ^^ )

The party listened carefully and after Alex was done, the shapeshifter gave a sigh of frustration and replied,

"Looks like the gentle ways won't work with this one."

Irene frowned and replied, "Maybe she needs time? After all, she's just come out of a furious fight with us so that must be still on her nerves."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true.  Perhaps you should try contacting her tomorrow, Alex?"

Alex looked confused and turned to the shapeshifter, wondering what she thought their best course of action should be.

The shapeshifter frowned and said,

 "I don't understand what waiting will bring. You don't honestly think she'll change her mind tomorrow or something?"

Irene replied, "No but she will be calmer. Right now she's quite resistant and stubborn to all our tries but tomorrow, she will definitely be calmer and Alex or maybe even Ryan can reach her heart. That's the point: we need to make it to the Lycoris that's inside."

Alex looked thoughtful and replied, "True and waiting until tomorrow wouldn't hurt, I think."

Ryan added, "Yeah.  And if neither of us can get through to Lycoris at that point, then we can consider other options."

Lisianthus spoke up, "I agree with them. There isn't much we can do at this point anyways."

The shapeshifter groaned as her opinion was opposed by everyone present, and having no choice, she reluctantly said,

"Whatever, alright then. I am still at my opinion that it's no use and you'll find that out tomorrow but ok, as you wish."

Ryan replied, "I suppose we should all retire for the night then?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah and I would like to see my darling.  Let her know that I'm ok and everything."

Lisianthus nodded but then she turned to the shapeshifter and coldly said,

"You aren't staying here though. Go back to where you came from and come back in the morning if you want."

The shapeshifter was angered by the tone Lisianthus talked to her with and feeling humiliated, she replied angrily,

"Whoever said that I was going to stay here for the night?! I'd rather stay all night without a shelter than sleep in the same place as a terrible queen like you!"

Alex put his hands up defensively and interjecting, he said,

"Please you two, calm down.  This isn't the time to start a fight, ok?  It's best to put your differences aside, as we all have the common goal of getting Lycoris back, right?"

Lisianthus turned to Alex and calmly said,

"I didn't start a fight. I am simply saying that I don't want this creature in my castle."

The shapeshifter was only getting more angry but replied with disgust, "Like I'd want to stay."

She turned to Alex and said, "I'm going back. Let me know when your plan fails and you need my help."

She went out of the room angrily without a word more.

Alex sighed and followed the shapeshifter out of the room, hoping to calm her down.

Ryan then said, "I guess there's nothing more we can do so I suppose we should all get some sleep?"

Irene nodded and replied,

"Yes, that's a good idea. It was a very stressful day and that fight sure wore us all out. Some sleep will do us good and refresh us."

Lisianthus nodded although she didn't say anything. Meanwhile, the shapeshifter had stormed off angrily back to the chapel to travel back to the humans' world.

Ryan nodded and looking uncertainly at Lisianthus, he said, "I guess I should go back to my room then."

Alex caught up to the shapeshifter and calling out to her, he asked,

"Are you all right?  Will you be ok?  Do you want me to go with you?"

Lisianthus glanced at Ryan but didn't say anything to stop him. Irene noticed this and although she didn't like it, there was nothing she could do so she gave Ryan a look to go on and said,

"Alright. We'll wait for you tomorrow morning during breakfast then."

The shapeshifter stopped for a moment then turning around, she faced Alex with the same angry look as she replied,

"No, go back. I'll return on my own and I'll be more than ok. I knew I'll regret coming to this stupid queen."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok, I'll see you both in the morning then."

He bowed to Duchess Irene and then gave a sad look to Lisianthus before leaving the room, heading to his room.

Alex replied, "Sia was awfully harsh and I am sorry.  I am still on your side, though.  I don't want you to doubt that."

He reached out to touch the shapeshifter's right hand.

(Another random question but have you ever heard of the anime Clannad?)

(Ahh yup, that's something I've heard about it. XD I didn't watch it although I have a rough idea of its events and all. It's pretty popular though. XD)

The shapeshifter withdrew her hand from Alex's and replied, "We'll see about that, Alex. Remember that your real test is coming closer. This matter with Lycoris will get resolved sooner or later and then we'll see whether you're really on my side or not."

Obviously, she was referring to Lisianthus and her plans to kill her and get revenge.

(Ahh I see.  I mention it because there's a Clannad game on Steam now but it costs around $50 USD.  I honestly don't know if the game is that good that it justifies that high of a price so I'm curious to hear what you think.  The game is based on the anime btw.  XD)

Alex nodded sadly and replied, "Ok.  Are you sure you don't want me to go with you?  I feel bad just leaving without having said anything to Lady Penelope or the chancellor my parents."

(I see. If it's the visual novel, then I think that's justifiable. I didn't try it but it's pretty popular and I think it's pretty long so that may be why it's pretty expensive and all. XD)

The shapeshifter replied, "I'll tell them about everything that happened and they'll understand."

She paused then after taking a breath, she said, "Contact me tomorrow once your tries with Lycoris are over. Let me know what happens and keep me updated."

(True.  That is the price of Japanese VNs although I do still think that's a bit pricey.  Anyway, here's the link Clannad in case you're curious to check it out.  ^^)

Alex nodded and replied, "I understand.  Please take care of yourself and it goes without saying that you're free to stay at the house and make yourself comfortable for as long as you want."

(Ahh yup, it's definitely a translated version of the original visual novel. I'd like to try it one day since it's pretty popular although that won't be happening anytime soon. XD)

The shapeshifter nodded and replied, "I will. Goodbye."

She turned around and headed to the chapel to leave to the humans' world.

(Ahh I see.  XD)

Alex sighed and then decided to return to Lisianthus' office to see if there was anything else he could do before he would go to check on Nerine.

Lisianthus and Irene were still in the office although there was still an awkward silence between them, as it was obvious that Lisianthus wasn't in her usual mood and Irene didn't want to make things worse.

When Alex returned, Irene turned to him and asked,

"Is the shapeshifter alright?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah, she's ok.  She's returned to the human world and back to my place.  She'll let the others know what's going on."

He looked around and realizing that Ryan was absent, he asked, "Where's Ryan?  Did he go to sleep for the night?"

Irene nodded and replied,

"Yes, he turned in for the night. You should go see Nerine and get some sleep too. We all need the rest and sleep for tomorrow."

Alex nodded and replied, "All right."

He looked to Lisianthus and gently asked, "Will you be all right, Sia?  I-I'm sorry for hurting you."

Lisianthus turned her gaze away from Alex with a calm, almost cold expression over her face without saying anything. Irene sighed inwardly and gave Alex a look, silently telling him to go for now.
