Bug Thread

Please post the bugs and typos you find here.

I found a bug and it's sort of major since the game shuts down right away. After Rosaline and Amy leave the room, I get the following:

"Unable to find file Audio/BGM/tamhe06slowmelody"

Then the game shuts down.

Ahh I see. Hmm, simple. I'll upload a file and you have to put it in the Audio/BGM folder.

Well, to begin complaining, you step on the flowers mercilessly.
List of bugs I found:
1- The chest in the Lovely Woods says you got 100 gold coins, but you actually get 200.
2- Is there any difference in the apartments? Like in Ahriman's Prophecy?
3- The bees are actually stronger than those theives you meet a the end of the game.
4- When you're fighting the theives, it seems as if Rosaline and Amy are standing on the building.
5- When we meet Ray at the end, half his face is covered by a non-translucent shadow.
6- The shadows in all tilesets aren't translucent.
7- Trissana's (have I spelled that right?) houses are walkable.
8- Many of the NPCs say nothing when you try to talk to them, they just ignore you.
9- Rose's friend is standing on the log when you find her in the forest, not really sitting there.
10- Why would the forest be called 'Lovely Woods' when there's nothing lovely about dense fog and giant bees. (It's just my opinion though, don't take it seriously. )
11- You've really overpriced the items, weapons, and armors. Maybe you should make them cheaper since we are new to the game and barely have any money.
12- The mapping if off at many places, if you need help with it, or just some pointers, you can ask me and I'll gladly help.
13- Let's try to be sensible, why would two young girls in the middle of the forest dig the ground to find things? And how come the apples didn't rot and the potion's liquid didn't evaporate or get spilled while underground.
14- The health and magic bars at the top of the screen don't show your characters until after you've opened and closed the main menu at least once. (Or was that done on purpose?)
15- The save bars just keep moving, I can't focus on which one's selected.
16- I don't know, it might just be me, but isn't the plot revealed a bit suddenly and quickly?
17- The song at the end is nice, but it spoiled some things for me about the ending.
18- You did a great job and you deserve a pat on the back, but don't forget to credit those you got the scripts, sprites, and tilesets from.

So overall, the gameplay was fine, and I really liked the game and charaters, although where is that little pink hedgehog when you need her? You've made quite a good demo Love.

1- Known bug, will fix it.
2-Yup, apartments differ in shape. You can replay if you want.
3-Ahh yes, I will fix that. It seems that I wanted them to be strong but overdid it. lol
4-Will fix it as well.
5-That was done intentionally but will change it.
6-Hmmm what does that mean?
7-O_O That is weird. It doesn't happen to me.
EDIT: Ahh got what you mean. Will fix it.
8-Will change that as well.
9-Didn't find a sitting sprite. O_O
10-lol I might think about another name then.
11-Hmm ok then, will change it.
12-Thanks a lot but as I said somewhere else, this demo is so different from the remade one and the maps are all changed there.
13-Because as said in the beginning of the game, they heard that there are lots of treasures hidden there. Now aren't most treasures underground? And will change those items.
14-That is a bug which I am trying to fix yet.
15-That is the script's fault. O_O
16-Will try to change it.
17-Again, working on something better.
18-Thank you. ^^ The credits should be in the next demo. I thought of making them in the full version but it will be in the next demo, hopefully.

I am glad you liked the game overall and for now, just ignore those stuff. The new demo is so much different and much better.

And lol you mean because "Amy Rose"? XD That actually came out like that. I am not a fan of Sonic or anything.

Oh okay then, but I'm one. Amy and Rogue rock! lol.

Glad to see you working on those bugs then, and I hope I enjoy the second demo as much as I've enjoyed this one.

As for the 'translucent shadows', it means that you haven't set the purple shadows in the tilesets to transparent by pressing the right-click.

Good luck on the future demo, I can't wait to try it out!

To some flowers, I CAN walk over, but on some, I cannot. O_O

So far, these are the ones that I have caught. I'll go hunt down more.

@2 bugs above: O_O are the fountains floating?

@Star that's the mapping bug i found too. you would also notice in the wall of the academy you can pass through some parts of it. i think Love set the priority of the fountain higher than a normal one so that's the reason Rosalind and my can walk through it.

and after defeating those 2 thieves, one of them ran through/over the building. They were too fast to be caught. :/

Oh Love, just a tip. I don't think starting at level 10 with all those overdone exactly same skills for Rosaline and Amy was a good idea. Maybe start at level 1 with a skill or two thst are different for each charater (Everyone learns skill differently, even if they were in the same school, they still might take slightly different classes.

I suggest starting at level 3, at least. Those bees were a headache if not for the light spell.

Ahh you guys are missing a point. I will change the skills and all but the level thing. The girls have graduated, and grew up in the Academy learning magic. How come at the beginning of the game, they would be still at level one or three?

well then i guess the story should start before they go to the academy "like aveyond 1 and 3" were the story starts before they go to school.

Ahh I don't want the game to begin "like AV1 and AV3". So what will be the difference between this and that? I want originality. And I honestly find nothing wrong with beginning at level 10.

hmm, well you have a point about originality. we are just giving some opinions. its still your game so its still your choice.

Hmm, well, I do side with Love on this one. If she were to make the game start from the time before Rosaline and Amy went to the academy, that would mean a lot of work to put in it. O_O

So I think it makes sense for the girls to start off at a higher level than level 1 for sure. I do agree that the bees were hard to defeat but I'm sure Love is adjusting for that.

Personally, I think we should all give The Gifted Child a chance and see where it grows. Love did point out that the next demo will be different from the current one out so we can expect some great changes. And I do love how original this game is based on storyline and all that.

I think Love made a point that they are graduating. I completely forgot about that.

For some reason, I can't exit the forest except for going back to the town. What am I supposed to do after going there anyway?

Ahh there is nowhere you can go after the forest. You must get 500 gold and then buy an apartment.

Alright,thanks for that. Unfortunately, my computer is broken and needs to be replaced and now the data is lost.
I tried to re-download but every time I tried to follow the download link, it always says that the link was invalid.
