| Hi all, I'm starting up another debate here. aisling's probably a bit familiar with this one. I'm curious to know what you all think about the issue on privacy as it pertains in the real world and on the Internet. Like how far is going too far when it comes to respecting people's privacy. For example, one of my friends was pretty upset recently when an email that she sent to another friend was posted publicly on the Internet. (The other friend posted this email btw.) Fortunately, this message was deleted quickly but there were some who did see that message. Now the message didn't contain any scandalous information or anything like that but it should be understood that any messages between parties should be kept private between those parties, not posted for the whole world to see. But this person had the nerve to post such a message publicly and thus disrespect that person's right to privacy, which should be understood even if the rules about it aren't written and all. Well, it's obvious what my opinion is about it. lol Curious to know what the rest of you all think. | |

| I agree, sometimes I send emails which I don't want others to see(except for the person who gets to see it of course), and such a thing can really upset me. | |

| Yup, I definitely agree on that.
I wonder what everyone thinks about IM convos and whether they should be kept between/among the parties involved. Like there was this incident several months back in which I told a former friend (I say former because this person is no longer my friend) something that really upset me and she blabbed to other people. Eventually, news about it leaked publicly and then I was publicly attacked. I remember crying for days about it.
Anyway, I wonder if IM convos should be kept private, too. Personally, I think they should. It's kind of like when you tell your friend one of your deepest secrets and it's understood that it's not to be spread around and all. | |

| Well my girl, you are right on the plan of honour, but you know if you write a letter to someone, that person can use that like material to his/her book, or put on the wall, on a public place for all to look on, I guess what I'm saying is, that ones shall chose who ones send letters of important’s to, because you cant trust any one here (web) like in the reel world, there is false people on the web and in the reel world to, but in the reel world, they it's easy to find, on the net, they can be nice, but are not, if you understand what I'm saying, like the witch in Hans and Gretel, she says welcome in to my house, but she intend to eat the children, or Pennywise, got clods like a clown, and look kind, to lure children, and then eat them and steal their souls But the Honour codes says that a letter you send to me are private, so I guess you all have to test their honour, honour less people is easy to find, in their way to express them selves!Soloaris. | |

| @soloaris: Yup, that's true. It's just sad when there are those who don't respect others enough to keep their secrets safe and all. No wonder I don't open up to everyone. | |

| yes that’s reel sad, that people cant be what they say they are, like all should have a etiquette (sign) on them where ones could reed the truth about them, like Selfish or un true, that should be cool, and those you don’t like the sign on we could just walk bye | |
