The Wintermere Child

here is another game made by darkhalo it's kind of fun.

~The Wintermere Child~

~Story~

The last Dragon named Merythr has a vision that her offspring has the
outcome on what decides the fate of the world of Arracia. On laying her
last egg, she decides after much deliberation, to destroy it, knowing
that her vision says that her born twins were to grow up, one good and
one of evil. She dreams the outcome.

Meanwhile, a huge Corporation called Yuma, has known a fact they have
kept secret for a while. One thing is for sure, they do not intend to
stay on Arramon for long.

The story starts 200 years into the future, when a young girl called
Alice, becomes saddened that she is no longer seeing her only cousin
Suka, so her friends help out. Together they form a great bond, but
what about Yuma's thoughts when they find out that there is a link
between their project and the Dragon?

Alice and her friends need to discover what really lies in the present and what shadows lurk from the past.

The game is approximately 5 hours long and ties in with the last of
five made in RPG Maker XP. A lot more scripts have gone into this -
i.e. enemies can steal, create items, power up for Guardians by using
Energy Spheres and so on. The custom battle system has had changes too.

Thanks, Aya. I really liked darkhalo's The Sacred Garden and I can't wait to try out this game, too. Very Happy

Edit: I downloaded the game but I encountered a problem. I can't play it because there's a bitmap not created error. Strange. O.o

Hi Aya,

Hmm, I doubt that. Is there another download I need? The title screen comes up fine but when I choose New Game, that's when I get the error.

This is the first time I've encountered such an error so I don't know what's going on. I suppose I could contact the gamemaker about this to see if he can figure out what's going on.

Sure. That would be great if you could let him know about the error.

Basically, this is what happens. When I choose "New Game," I get the following error message:

Bitmap not created

So the game automatically shuts down.

Wanted to let everyone know that I'm able to open up the game now. Smile

So far, I'm enjoying it. I'm not done with it yet, though. I'm only as far as Wintermere but I'm really liking it and it's great that it's another game by darkhalo. Smile

@Arianna:

This took me a while to find but what I did was search on the world map until I saw an area with a lot of trees. You should see a tiny sparkling spot in the middle of that forest. Approach it and then you should be away from the world map and into another area. Then there will be a dialogue sequence and you should be able to follow the rest of the way to the dog. Smile
