Romance RP

Matthew nodded and doing his best to get up, he replied, "Yeah, I think I can make it.  I won't be able to run but we can walk fast.  That's ok, right?"

He got up, feeling a little stronger than before."

Lycoris nodded and standing by Matthew's side to help him, she said,

"Yes, and I can teleport us away from here to give us a head start."

She then frowned a little and referring to Alex, she said, 

"What about him?"

Matthew replied, "I don't know.  He's going to stop us.  I'd rather not hurt him, but..."

He looked worried, unsure of what to do about Alex.  Matthew wanted to protect Lycoris, no matter what, but he didn't want to have to hurt anyone in the process, unless they would harm Lycoris.

Lycoris frowned and after thinking for a few moments, she quietly said,

"I can cast a sleeping spell on him that will have him out for an hour or so. That will give us time to run away."

Matthew nodded and quietly replied, "Do it but only if you'll be ok.  I don't want you draining your strength."

(Sorry if my posts are slow btw.  I'm gaming and the game I'm playing is proving to be a bit more difficult than I anticipated so it's taking me a while.  lol)

Lycoris nodded and quietly said, "Don't worry about me. I am fine."

She took a deep breath and cast a sleeping spell on Alex although for a moment, she had hesitated, as the real Lycoris locked inside tried to prevent her, but wasn't able to, and the spell was cast successfully in the end.

Alex immediately fell asleep as the spell was cast on him before he realized what had happened.  Matthew then said,

"Ok, he's out.  We should get going and I'll keep a lookout to make sure that no one sees us leave.  If you can, once we're outside the barrier, teleport us to the town.  I can rent us a room at the inn and then make arrangements to leave after."

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Okay, lead the way and let's be careful. And-and let's be quick. She is trying to come back."

She bit her lower lip in pain, as the real Lycoris was trying to take back control.

Matthew replied, "Ok, let's go."

He got up and although he still felt a bit weak, he was regaining his strength.  He led Lycoris quickly out of the room and kept a lookout, watching for signs of the others, as they would surely stop them if they knew what was going on.

As the chancellor was in the library of the house and Lady Penelope was in the kitchen, none of them noticed Lycoris and Matthew as they were going out of the house. The shapeshifter was in the living room, resting.

As Matthew continued to lead the way, he whispered into Lycoris' ear,

"Only the shapeshifter is in the living room.  We'll just look like we want some air if she sees us and then all will be well."

Lycoris nodded and replied quietly, "Ok. I'll pretend to be the other Lycoris meanwhile, so that she doesn't suspect anything."

She followed Matthew quietly and although the shapeshifter was doing nothing, she didn't notice the couple, as she was lost in thought.

Matthew glanced at the shapeshifter and it looked like she was distracted, so he took advantage of that and quietly led Lycoris out of the house and outside.  As the couple continued to walk, he said,

"We should be outside the barrier soon and then you can use your magic."

Lycoris nodded and followed Matthew as they walked out of the house. Her steps were starting to get slow, however, as the real Lycoris was pushing through to try to take back control and prevent the couple from running away.

Matthew noticed that Lycoris was walking slower and he quietly asked,

"Is she trying to take control again?  We're almost there."

Lycoris took deep breathes and nodding, she said, 

"She is but it's ok. I-I am keeping her under control for now. Let's hurry."

She continued to walk behind Matthew, waiting for him to tell her that they were outside the barrier so she could teleport them to town.

Matthew nodded, continuing to walk quickly towards the barrier.  Soon, they reached it and finally, they were outside the barrier.  He then said,

"Ok, we're outside the barrier so you should be able to use your magic here."

(I'll go off to bed now.  Sorry for the long time in between posts.  I really shouldn't have picked the game I did to play but this series wasn't that ridiculous the last time I played it.  lol  But anyway, I'll post again tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded and after taking a deep breath, she held Matthew's hand and cast a teleport spell, taking them right to Devenshire on its outskirts. She felt a little winded after that and held on to Matthew, as she wasn't used to cast so much magic and it didn't help that the real Lycoris was still fighting for control.

Matthew saw that they were right outside Devenshire and as he walked with Lycoris towards the inn, he said,

"I'll get us to the inn and then you can rest."

Lycoris followed Matthew's lead as he walked them towards the inn and touching her forehead with her hand, she replied,

"I am fine but she-she is suddenly too strong. I used to take control and remain at it easily before but even now, she is resisting."

She squeezed Matthew's hand gently and quietly said, "If she takes back control, please don't let her kill me. I-I don't want to die. I want to live and look forward to a happy life with you. Don't let her do that to me."

Matthew gently squeezed Lycoris' hand and replied,

"I won't let her kill you, either of you.  She'll have to kill me before she can even try such a thing."

He gently lifted Lycoris' hand and kissed it.

Lycoris blushed and smiled lovingly at Matthew. She hugged his arm and held on closely to him as they walked to the inn and said,

"I love you so much, my Matt. I knew you wouldn't let me down. You fought to the end for me."

Matthew smiled lovingly at Lycoris and replied, "I'll always be here for you, Lycoris.  If I'd only known sooner what was going on..."

He felt a bit sad that he didn't act sooner as the couple continued to walk to the inn.

Lycoris smiled softly at Matthew and replied,

"It's ok. She wasn't giving me a proper chance to tell you clearly what they planned. I am just glad I was able to reach you in the end. If I weren't able to and they could go through with what they wanted..."

She shuddered at the thought of being handed over to the captain, separated from Matthew.

Matthew nodded and replied, "I'm glad you were able to break through and reach me.  And she'll thank us for this, too, someday.  I just want to save both of you."

The couple reached the inn and entering, he said,

"Ok, let's go to the front desk and request a room for a day.  Then we can make arrangements for transportation."
