Romance RP

Nathan resumed eating and a little after Helena was finished, he was done eating as well. He commented,

"This was a lovely meal, but more so because I was eating with the princess of my heart."

He winked happily at her.

Helena blushed happily and replied, "And it was so lovely because my prince is here."

She gazed on happily and lovingly at Nathan.

Nathan returned the loving looks and squeezed Helena's hand gently. He then said,

"The maids will clean up here. Let me escort you to the girl's room?"

Helena nodded happily and replied, "I'd like that."

As Helena and Nathan got up and prepared to head downstairs to Nerine's room, she asked,

"Is the healer still with her?"

Nathan replied, "I have no idea. He should follow up with her but he won't be with her all the time. We'll see. You can tell him to leave if you don't want him in the same room."

He offered his arm to Helena and once she held to it, he led the way to Nerine's room.

Helena shook her head and replied, "That's not what I meant.  I wanted to make sure that she was being continually looked after, and she must feel alone, too."

She looked a little sad, feeling bad that Nerine was still trapped and that she hadn't found a way yet to help her get free.

Nathan could tell how Helena sympathized with Nerine but he wasn't as soft-hearted as she was, at least not until he got what he wanted. He said,

"That's her husband's and friends' fault. They should just hand over her sister instead of wasting time looking for us."

He paused then said, "If you want to see her more often, I won't prevent you if it will make you feel better."

Helena looked at Nathan curiously and asked, "Really?  You wouldn't mind?"

She could understand Nathan's position and why he didn't want to let Nerine go without getting Lycoris but at the same time, he didn't want Nerine to be trapped her when she could be free and happy with her family and friends.

Nathan was silent for a moment but then he said,

"I wouldn't prefer it as she is still a prisoner and I want her to keep remembering that, but if it will make you feel better about this, love, you can visit her when you want. I do understand she is still your friend."

Helena smiled at Nathan and gently squeezing his arm, she replied,

"Thank you, Nathan.  You truly are the most wonderful man ever."

She looked up happily into his eyes and she felt so happy and blessed to the point where she felt like she could cry.

Nathan gently brought Helena closer and giving her a loving kiss on the forehead, he said,

"Maybe I am but only when I am with you. I love you so much, you know."

He smiled gently at her and soon the couple made it at Nerine's room. He said,

"Go ahead and take your time. I'll be waiting here."

He reached out for his key and unlocked the door for her.

Helena gave Nathan a quick, sweet kiss on the lips and replied,

"Thank you, Nathan.  I'll try not to take too long."

She then entered Nerine's room and softly closed the door behind her.  She then looked towards Nerine, to see if she was asleep.

Nerine was lying in bed and she was alone, as the healer had left a little earlier. She was half-asleep, but as Helena entered the room, she was a little more alert. She smiled sleepily at her and softly said,

"Hey, Helena. I am glad you could come again."

Helena smiled softly at Nerine and taking a seat beside her, she replied, "Me, too.  I hope I didn't wake you?  I wanted to see how you were doing."

Nerine shook her head and waking up a a little more, she said,

"No, it's ok. There isn't much I can do here anyways. I hope you can visit me like this often. It's pretty lonely down here."

She sighed sadly.

Helena reached out to touch Nerine's hand and replied, "I'll do my best.  The captain said that I can visit you if it makes me happy, and it does."

She paused briefly and asked, "Have you eaten?"

Nerine sighed and replied,

"They brought me food at lunchtime but I don't feel like eating. Just thinking of it makes me sick all over again. I-I don't want to eat. I just want to be out of here and I'll get better."

She looked quite sad,. on the verge of tears.

Helena looked sad to see Nerine almost in tears and hugging her, she replied,

"Hey, it's going to be ok.  Listen, I want to get you out of here.  I really do, but I don't think I have enough power to do so yet.  The captain is convinced that you're his only way to getting what he wants."

She gently rubbed Nerine's back and asked, "Is there anything I can do?"

Nerine returned Helena's hug gratefully and tearfully replied,

"Can you contact Alex? I just want to reach him somehow. I-I want to hear his voice, ask him to find me. Is he still looking for me? If he can't, why not just hand over Lycoris? She is going to sacrifice herself anyways. Does it matter to who?"

Helena replied, "I wish I could but the captain hasn't taught me telepathy yet.  I asked him once a little while back but he wouldn't teach me at the time.  If Alex or the others contact me, of course I'll tell them to contact you.  I don't know why they haven't, unless they're somehow prevented from doing so.  

The captain did let me contact my mother, though.  But I think he did listen in on our conversation so I don't know if he'd help me make private communication.  But I'll see what I can do.  I'll try to find some way to get you out of here."

(Man, if Nathan just finds out this is what Helena truly wants. XD)

Nerine nodded and replied, "Please do. I really appreciate everything you are doing for me."

She hugged her again gratefully but then something occurred to her. Her eyes widening in realization, she said,

"What are you going if I get out of here? How is the captain going to let you go?"

(True.  Well, Helena just wants Nerine to be free.  She's willing to stay with Nathan.  XD)

Helena smiled and shaking her head, she replied, "It doesn't matter what happens to me.  I'll be ok.  I'm more worried about you.  You need to get back to Alex, your family and friends.  You need to take care of yourself so you all can raise your baby.  And I'm not unhappy here.  Quite the opposite, actually."

(I understand but Nathan wouldn't. As much as he loves her, as much as he would be furious at her. XD)

Nerine looked confused and replied,

"Quite the opposite? You mean you're happy here? I-I don't know where we are but I thought it must be quite the burden just bearing to be around that captain. I can't leave you behind."

(Yeah, which is why she hasn't brought it up with him.  XD)

Helena shook her head and replied, "Please look after yourself and your baby and don't worry about me.  The captain won't harm me.  I promise you.  I haven't been tortured or anything, right?"

She spread her arms out wide in a gesture so that Nerine could see that she was unharmed.

(She better not. XD)

Nerine looked at Helena and could clearly observe that she was unharmed but that didn't make her any less confused. Furrowing her eyebrows at Helena, she said,

"You talk with such confidence as though this isn't the captain we're talking about. Umm how close have you gotten to him exactly?"
