Romance RP

Lady Penelope couldn't help but sigh again and smiling sadly, she said, 

"Yeah. You know what she has in mind and I guess I'll have my hands full with her. She is such a trouble when she's quite stubborn."

Alex smiled sadly and replied, "Yeah, that's true.  Well, if I can help you when that time comes, I'll do my best.  But I guess we should deal with one problem at a time, right?"

Lady Penelope nodded and replied, 

"Yup, that's right. Let's be done with Lycoris' matter first. Matthew headed to town before I came to you. He said he'll see Helena and he'll ask her to ask Nerine to spend some girl time together. That will be your chance."

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok, that sounds good.  I'll be ready when the time comes then."

(I just want to ask your opinion on something but if you were feeling extremely stressed out by something and then someone wanted to ask for your help, would you just help out that person, despite feeling stressed out yourself?  I'm asking because when I'm like that, I'm unable to help anyone because I'm too upset and I only make things worse if I try to help out while I'm in that state.   )

(Ahh it depends on who is asking but I usually avoid helping out. This is especially true if someone is asking for help online, like one of my classmates wanting help with college stuff or something. I don't have much choice on house chores though because if I refused to help out, my mom would give me a hard time and stress me out even more.   But yeah, I totally understand how you feel.=/)

Lady Penelope nodded and smiling, she said, "Thanks for hearing me and agreeing to help, darling. You can go back to your wife now if you want. I truly appreciate your help, sweetie."

(I see.  In case you're curious, it was Folke asking although he knows that on Sundays, I usually have to go out earlier and I have to get ready and then I was having to deal with listening to my mother, which automatically stresses me out.  He knows that, too, but yeah, he had to make it about him.  I mean, I don't tell him problems that I'm dealing with because I don't want to burden him with them but yeah.  :/)

Alex smiled softly and replied, "You're welcome, my lady.  I'll do everything I can to help, especially since I do still love and care for Lycoris."

Realizing something, he asked, "Hmm, what should I tell my darling that I talked with your daughter about?"

(Hmm forgive me if this is a bit too direct but I do get the feeling that Folke is a little self-centered? :/ I mean, I feel like he wants to be the center of attention all the time so it's only about his problems and his issues. :/)

Lady Penelope looked thoughtful then replied, "Uhh maybe you can say that my daughter was revising the situation with you? Making sure that we're well-hidden and all. And ahh, that she went to the castle and she was updating you with information but there's nothing new yet. Would that do it?"

(I don't know about that but I think that he does have issues at times but doesn't try to work them out himself.  I mean, I could tell him about every single problem I have but I don't.  If I need help or advice on something, then I'll ask but I try to work things out on my own when I can.  Not sure if that's because of how I grew up or whatnot but yeah.  Well, long story short, if I ever asked for help growing up, especially from my mother, I would only get berated and criticized so I learned to work things out on my own and not ask unless I need it.  And yeah, definitely do not ask my mother for help.  lol)

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, that will do.  My darling would certainly believe that.  Thank you, my lady.  If there's anything else I can do, please let me know."

(I totally understand. My mom is a bit hard too although it worked out the other way. She criticizes nearly everything I do on my own so I learned to ask her first about anything unless I am sure she wouldn't mind. D"= So I totally get how stressful it can be. Maybe if you feel too stressed out to hear him next time, you can tell him that you're not feeling too energetic yourself?)

Lady Penelope smiled softly and nodding, she said, "I will. Thank you for your help, darling."

(Yeah, I guess I can do that.  It's a little frustrating sometimes when Folke expects me to put him first before myself when I know that if I'm not well, I'll be unable to help others.  Now, if we were married, things would be different.  I wouldn't even have to deal with my mother because I'd totally break off communication with her at that point.  I only continue talking to her now for my dad's and brother's sakes but yeah.  :/)

Alex smiled and replied, "You're welcome, my lady.  I'll return to my darling now but I hope we can put things into action soon."

He bowed to Lady Penelope and then left the room, heading back to his and Nerine's room.

(We can assume that Matthew was able to work things out with Helena.  XD)

(Well, I hope things work out somehow in the future. Just don't let it stress you out now. ^^ And maybe you can make an excuse or something if you don't want to talk to him on Sundays at least that you will be too busy or something. ^^; And ok on Matthew. XD)

After Alex had left, Lady Penelope went out of the room and wondered whether Matthew had returned yet. She wanted to make sure that he was able to work things out on Helena's part so she had an idea of how things would go.

(I'll try.  I'm on Twitch at the moment trying to destress so yeah.  ^^)

Meanwhile, Matthew had finished talking with Helena and he was back near his house.  He entered inside, deciding to go see Lady Penelope to find out how things had gone between her and Alex.

(Ok. ^^) 

Lady Penelope had just arrived downstairs when she saw Matthew enter the house. Smiling at him, she said, 

"Hey, sweetie. You returned. I was just looking around for you, wondering if you came back or not. How did things go?"

Matthew smiled back at Lady Penelope and replied, "It went well.  I talked to Helena about things and she's agreed to help.  She said that she'll come by tomorrow morning and distract Nerine.  She said that she wanted to wait until tomorrow so she could make a good disguise for Nerine for the two of them to go out."

Lady Penelope nodded and happy that things worked out, she said, 

"That's great. I talked to Alex as well and explained things to him and of course, he's happy to help. It looks like we have everything covered."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yup, sure looks like it.  Now we'll get Lycoris and Alex together and save her."

He smiled sadly, as he wanted Lycoris to be happy, even if it would not be with him.

Lady Penelope could tell how Matthew felt and feeling sorry for him, she reached out to pat his hands gently and said, 

"I am sorry, darling. I wish there was another way, one that wouldn't be so hurtful to you. Or I wish that Lycoris could see how much you care about her. She should give her love and feelings to the right person."

(Okay, I should totally run to work now before I am late and all. XD See you tomorrow, phoenix. ^^)

Matthew replied, "It's all right.  I wouldn't want Lycoris to be forced to love me just because I care for her.  She should be herself.  I just hope she'll one day see how much I do care for her, even though I've stumbled along the way."

Lady Penelope sighed and smiling sadly at Matthew, she said, 

"I hope so, darling. I really do. I mean, even if things work out as we want and Lycoris is saved, Nerine would never allow them Alex and her to be together. So she'll be alone and by herself in the end all the same."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true.  I suppose it's understandable as to why although from what I understand, their situation is very unique."

Lady Penelope nodded in agreement and said,

"That's true. It's a very complicated situation to say the least. But well, we have things covered for now. We can worry about the future later."

She giggled a bit then said, "Are you going to check on Lycoris now?"

(I apologize for getting here later than I thought I would.  You're probably going to work now but I'll be here more tomorrow since I won't have to go out then.  ^^)

Matthew nodded and replied, "Yes, I'll do that.  I'd like to see how she is.  What are you going to do, my lady?"

(Hi phoenix. No problem. ^^ I am going to work earlier than usual tomorrow so I don't know how much I will be able to post although I might sneak in a post or two at work if I could. XD)

Lady Penelope thought about it for a moment then said, "I might check the library or perhaps visit my daughter. I'll see. Do you need anything else from me, darling?"

(Ahh ok, I understand.  XD)

Matthew thought about it but shaking his head, he replied, "I'm fine.  I guess I'll see you at lunch then?"
