Romance RP

(Ahh no problem.  It happens.  ^^)

Alex and the others left the house and then they split up.  As Alex walked with the shapeshifter, he said,

"What's the plan if we find them?  Do we just attack?"

Helena was finding it difficult to breathe as the captain held her neck but she held her ground, refusing to show any weakness before him.

The shapeshifter shook her head and replied, 

"That depends on the exact location, how it looks, how many the soldiers are and how powerful. The captain had been in hide for some time now. He was probably getting stronger all that previous time. If we aren't careful, we can be easily defeated and not to forget that he has your wife. A wrong move and she'll be the first one to get hurt."


The captain groaned and his hand tightened more around Helena's neck although he was careful not to suffocate her yet. Looking straight into her eyes with his merciless look, he huskily said, 

"What? Aren't you afraid of death? I can kill you right here, right now in a flash of moment. Not afraid yet?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yes, of course, but we have to get my darling and Helena out.  That captain can't use them like this."

Helena replied, "I don't care.  Kill me.  There's nothing I can do."

The shapeshifter was getting a little frustrated and replied, 

"I know but we can't just go in and attack like that. He'll hurt them first thing if not worse. That captain is merciless and doesn't care about anyone. We have to be quite careful."


The captain was losing his patience and his hand tightened even more. On the other side, Nerine had been watching silently all along but as she noticed the captain losing his patience with Helena, she cried at him,

"Please stop. She-she's got nothing to do with this. Please don't hurt her."

The captain let go of Helena, dropping her to the ground violently. Looking coldly at her, he said, 

"I'll make you fear me. You'll see what I can do, little girl."

He went out of the cell, with his soldiers following behind, closing the door carefully after them.

Alex replied, "Then we need a plan.  I guess if we find them first, then we contact your mom and the chancellor?"

Helena took a deep breath after the captain and his soldiers left and quietly said, "What a jerk."

(I'm going to bed soon so this will be my last post for tonight, but I'll post before I go out for work tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

The shapeshifter nodded and replied, "Yes. They need to come to us or we go to them in case any of us finds anything. That doesn't mean we'll barge in and attack immediately, though. We might have to sneak in or put some plan to get them out of there first."

Nerine hurried to Helena's side and looking worriedly at her, she said,

"Are you alright? He didn't hurt you, did he? That man is so terrible."

Alex nodded and replied, "Ok."

He continued to lead the way to one of the caves, making quick time.

Helena replied, "Other than trying to squeeze the life out of me or breaking my arm, I'm fine.  I see why you dislike him."

The shapeshifter followed Alex to the cave, and soon they were at the entrance. However, there was no sign of any life present there, nothing unusual. It was dark without any sign anyone being there.

The shapeshifter groaned and said, "Looks like they aren't here."

Nerine sighed and nodding, she said, "I told you. You were admirable to be so strong against him but it's best that you don't get on his nerves again. I am sure Alex and the others will come to our rescue soon but until they do so, we don't want him to hurt us."

Alex looked disappointed and said,

"There's no one here.  I hope your mom and the chancellor have better luck."

Helena replied, "I won't let him hurt you but I can stand on my own against him.  I know his type.  He's used to getting his way through fear and I won't let him do that to me."

The shapeshifter replied, "Let me contact them and see."

She contacted her mom telepathically, asking her if she and the chancellor found anything. To her dismay, the answer was negative.

Groaning, she turned to Alex and said, "Nothing as well. Either they went further from here, or they aren't in the humans' world in the first place."


Nerine shook her head and replied, "Don't do that. We don't know how patient he will be with us and if you get on his nerves again, he won't hesitate to hurt you or worse. I don't want something bad to happen to you, Helena."

(Ahh ok.  XD)

Alex replied, "But from what my darling told me, they must still be in the humans' world.  It is big, though, and she didn't give me much.  Let me try contacting her again."

He reached out to Nerine via telepathy and said,

Darling, it's me again.  Are you there?


Helena replied, "Then what do you suggest that I do?  Act like the poor, helpless victim he wants me to be?"

The thought of that put a sour taste in her mouth.

Nerine sighed and replied, "I know you don't like the sounds of it but at least it's better than having him lay a hand on you again, right?"

She heard Alex's communication just then and said, "Hang on. Alex is contacting me again."

She replied,

Yes, Alex, I am here. Where are you? Hurry, please. That awful captain was here and he almost hurt Helena.

Alex replied,

We tried searching two caves near Devenshire where we thought you two could be but there was nothing.  We need more information.  Please, darling, anything you see, smell, feel could help us.

Nerine felt helpless and replied,

I don't know. I told you of everything I can. I am not even near the entrance so I can't tell you anything about the surroundings. Is-is it possible that you won't be able to find us?

Alex replied,

If we don't get more information, then it could take a long time before we find you.


He turned to the shapeshifter and said, "I'm talking to my darling but she can't give us any more information on where they are.  What do we do?"

The shapeshifter was in deep thought but then she replied,

"The search will take us a longer time, unless the captain contacts us before we find him and I expect him to do that. He kidnapped your wife for a reason after all; to give her back in exchange for Lycoris."

Alex nodded and replied, "I know and we can't let that happen.  That's why we need to get her back now." 

Thinking of something, he said, "I have an idea."

He then communicated with Nerine and said,

Darling, can't you yell at one of the guards and demand to get some fresh air?  That way, at least you can see where you are and then we can get to you sooner.

Nerine was unsure about that idea but replied,

I'll give it a try.


She got up and talking to one of the soldiers at the door of their cell, she said, "Sir, the air here is quite suffocating, you know. Can I go outside please to get some fresh air?"

The soldier looked sternly at her and said, "Go back inside and shut up. You aren't a princess here, prisoner."

Nerine was a little taken back by his response and telepathically said to Alex,

They aren't as friendly as you imagined here, Alex.

Alex frowned and replied, 

Ok, I'm going to talk to Helena.


She then communicated with Helena, trying to see if she had a clue as to where they could be, as she was better familiar with the human world.

Nerine waited patiently as Alex contacted Helena, hoping she would be more helpful to him. She didn't want that they stay hostages under the captain's mercy for much longer.

Helena was more observant, as she told Alex of all the sights, sounds, and smells of where they were.  After she was done, Alex thanked her and then he returned his attention to Nerine.

Darling, I might have another idea of where the two of you could be, but please pay attention to your surroundings.  Any tiny, little thing could help but we'll get to you as soon as we can.

Nerine replied,

I'll do my best but please hurry. This captain isn't planning for anything good. 

Alex replied,

I know.  We'll hurry but if you observe anything else, please let me know right away.  Any information will help.

Nerine replied,

Yes, yes, I'll do my best. Please hurry, Alex.


The shapeshifter waited silently meanwhile, hoping Alex was able to figure anything out about the girls' location.

Alex replied,

We'll hurry.


He then turned to the shapeshifter and said, "My darling wasn't much help but Helena provided me with some information.  There is a cave further out from here and it's pretty well hidden.  Unless you've lived in this area for a long time, it's easy to miss.  Let's contact your mom and the chancellor and get over there.  I get the feeling that's where my darling and Helena are."
