Romance RP

Matthew looked gently at Lycoris and reaching out to touch her hand, he said,

"Hey, it's going to be ok."

Alex nodded happily in confirmation and Eleanor immediately hugged Nerine and said,

"Oh my, this is such wonderful news.  We're finally going to have a grandchild."

Edward looked on proudly at Alex and said, "Congratulations.  Our family will be expanding."

Lycoris nodded and quickly smiling, she said, 

"Yeah, I am sure. I-I hope the chancellor is able to come up with that spell soon and then everything will go as planned."

Although she did her best to look ok, her voice could tell that she wasn't.

Nerine nodded happily and returning Eleanor's hug, she said,

"I knew that you will be happy to hear the news so we wanted to share them immediately with you."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Same here.  He'll let us know when it's ready."

Eleanor nodded happily and replied, "Of course we'd want to hear this right away."

Edward added, "I'm happy, too.  I wish we could just take you two back home with us now but I guess it isn't safe to do that.  Still, this is happy news indeed."

(Sorry I wasn't able to post at all today. It was my day off and my mom wanted me to go somewhere with her and all. ^^; I'll post tomorrow as usual though before I head to work and all. ^^)

Lycoris nodded and didn't say anything else, deciding to try to enjoy the rest of the afternoon in some peace in Matthew's company.

Nerine nodded and replied, "It isn't safe yet but hopefully everything is resolved soon and we can resume our lives normally. I want our baby to grow happily and peacefully without anymore problems or dangers."

(Aww no problem.  I have work later today so I might be here late.  ^^)

As Matthew spent time with Lycoris, he couldn't help but worry about her and also, he knew that he'd have to talk to Lady Penelope about this latest news.

Alex added, "That is what we want."

Edward nodded and replied, "Yes, that would be what we all want."

Eleanor added, "I can't wait for you two to come home and then I can look after my daughter and our expecting grandchild."

Lycoris and Matthew continued spending time in the gardens for the rest of the afternoon, and soon, it was getting dark. Lycoris asked, 

"Is it around dinnertime yet, Matthew? I can feel the sky changing."

Nerine nodded happily and replied, "Me too."

She paused then said, "Please stay with us to have dinner and spend the evening. I missed you two so very much."

(Sorry I got here late.  I was gaming and that preoccupied my time and then a friend who has just recently returned to the city called me, wanting to meet up, so yeah.  Hopefully, I can post more tomorrow.  ^^)

Matthew noticed the sky changing and nodding, he replied, "Yes, the sun is beginning to set.  We should head back inside and have dinner."

Eleanor looked at Edward and said, "Couldn't we, dear?  I'm sure Matt and the others would be fine."

Edward looked thoughtful and added, "If Matthew doesn't mind the extra company, sure, we'd love to stay and have dinner."

Alex replied, "I'm sure Matt and his dad will be delighted to have the additional company."

(No problem, I understand. ^^)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Please lead the way."

She held on to Matthew's arm and followed him back inside the mansion so they could have dinner with the others.

Nerine nodded happily and said, "I am sure of that too. And after dinner, we can all have some of the cookies I baked. There is plenty for everyone."

Matthew gently escorted Lycoris back inside the house.  Once they were inside, he asked, "Do you want to go directly to the dining room or back to your room first to freshen up?"

Eleanor smiled in delight and replied, "Awww that's wonderful.  A delicious dessert after dinner."

Lycoris replied, "Ahh yes, I'd like that, please. It will be nice to freshen up a bit before meeting up with everyone."

Nerine nodded happily and looking to Alex, she said, "Will you lead the way to the dining room, my Alex?"

Matthew nodded and replied, "All right then."

He escorted Lycoris upstairs to her bedroom and once they arrived, he asked, "Would you like me to ask Olivia to assist you?"

Alex smiled fondly at Nerine and replied, "Of course, darling.  Please come with us, too, Mom, Dad.  It'll be fine."

Alex helped Nerine to her feet and escorted her to the dining room, with Edward and Eleanor following them.

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Please? Unless she's busy or something then I can try to manage on my own."

Nerine followed Alex happily to the dining room, delighted that Eleanor and Edward were with them. There, Lady Penelope and the chancellor had arrived a little while earlier.

Matthew replied, "It should be fine."

Just then, Olivia was walking in the hallway.  Matthew waved to her and said, "Hey, Olivia, Lycoris would like to freshen up before dinner.  Would you mind helping her?"

Olivia smiled kindly and replied, "It'd be my pleasure.  I'll make sure Miss Lycoris arrives safely in the dining room after."

Matthew's dad arrived a little after and upon seeing Edward and Eleanor, he was surprised and asked,

"Hey, this is a surprise although it's wonderful to see you both."

Edward smiled and said, "Alex called for us to come so here we are."

Eleanor added, "If it isn't too much trouble, we'd like to join all of you for dinner."

Matthew's dad smiled and replied, "Sure, we can make room for two extra."

Lycoris smiled gratefully to Olivia and replied, 

"Thank you very much, Olivia. I hope it won't be too much trouble for you."

Lady Penelope was surprised as well to see Alex's parents but it was a pleasant surprise. She smiled and said, 

"It's wonderful to see you again. How have you been?"

Olivia shook her head and replied, "Of course not, miss.  You do remind me of Helena and I dote on you."

Matthew chuckled and said, "Ok, I'll see you at dinner then, Lycoris."

He then left the two of them to go downstairs.

Meanwhile, Eleanor smiled and replied, "Things have been good with us.  We did run into a bit of trouble with the king and queen a while back but otherwise, things have been the same."

Lycoris smiled softly to Olivia and after Matthew had left them, she followed Olivia to her room so she could help her freshen up before dinner.

Lady Penelope looked a little worried and replied,

"Oh my. I hope it wasn't too much trouble with the king and queen. I guess the queen of the gods' world contacted them somehow and they're helping her with the search."

Olivia turned to Lycoris and asked, "What would you like help with, miss?  Washing your face or perhaps a fresh change of clothes?"

Edward nodded and replied, "Yes, we guessed that as well.  We were summoned to the castle because all of you had disappeared from Alex's and Nerine's.  We told them we had no idea where you were."

Alex smiled apologetically and said, "I'm sorry you both had to go through that.  We couldn't say anything, though.  It was just too risky."

Lycoris was thoughtful for a few seconds then replied, 

"Would both be ok? It will help to wash my face and it will be a lot more refreshing to have a new change of clothes."

Lady Penelope gave the same apologetic smile as well and nodding, she said,

"That's true. I know it must have been worrying and troubling for you. We're really sorry. But at least I am sure it will all end soon and everything will go back to normal."

Olivia smiled and replied, "Of course, miss.  Let's first get your face washed."

She helped Lycoris to the bathroom and at the sink, she helped Lycoris to wash her face and dry off.

Eleanor replied, "It's all right.  We're just glad and relieved that everyone is safe."

Matthew arrived in the dining room and upon seeing Edward and Eleanor, he looked momentarily surprised but then bowed in greeting to them and said,

"Hello, it's a pleasant surprise to see you both."

Edward replied, "It's been a while, young man.  You're looking well."

With Olivia's help, Lycoris washed her face and freshened up, getting fresher and ready for dinner. She then waited for Olivia to prepare her another dress so she could change her clothes.

Lady Penelope smiled at Matthew and was surprised for a moment as Lycoris wasn't with him. She said,

"Hello, darling. Is Lycoris not joining us for dinner?"

After Lycoris' face was washed, Olivia helped her back into the bedroom and then approached the wardrobe, picking out a beautiful purple dress.  She asked, 

"How about a purple dress?  And perhaps a couple of barrettes for your hair?"

Matthew turned to Lady Penelope and said, "She's with Olivia now, freshening up.  She'll join us in a bit."

Lycoris smiled softly and nodding, she replied, "That sounds lovely. I trust your judgement, Olivia so I am sure you'll make me look my best."

Lady Penelope nodded and replied, "Oh alright."

She paused then telepathically communicating with Matthew, she said,

Is everything alright now between you two?

Olivia replied, "Thank you, miss.  I'll do my best."

She helped Lycoris out of her clothes and then to put on the purple dress.  Then she gently brushed her hair and carefully arranged a couple of matching barrettes in her hair.  Once she was done, Olivia said,

"You look quite beautiful, if I do say so, miss.  Ready to go downstairs?"

Matthew looked at Lady Penelope and replied,

Oh yes, we're fine, but I sensed that Lycoris was feeling sad about the news...Umm, I don't know if it's my place to say, although the person involved might mention it very soon publicly.


He cast a quick glance at Nerine and then quickly looked back at Lady Penelope.

Lycoris felt good about herself and she felt a lot more fresher. Smiling softly, she nodded and replied,

"I am. Please lead the way, Olivia."

Lady Penelope noticed Matthew taking a glance at Nerine and wondered what news he meant that Lycoris would be sad about. She nodded to him but didn't say anymore, waiting for things to unfold themselves.

Olivia nodded and gently touching Lycoris' arm, she escorted her out of her room and downstairs to the dining room, where the others were waiting.  She then helped Lycoris into her seat and said,

"Here you are, miss.  I'll leave you to the company of your friends."

Matthew smiled at Olivia and said, "Thank you for helping and escorting, Lycoris."

Olivia smiled at him and then curtseyed to the party and went into the kitchen to help with remaining dinner plans.

Eleanor then looked on at Lycoris and said, "Hello, Lycoris.  It's nice to see you again."
