Romance RP

Alex was speechless, as he didn't know what to say in reply to Lycoris' comment.  Of course, it was true that he had taken her here before.  

Meanwhile, Matthew sensed that Lycoris' other self had taken over and thinking of defusing the situation, he looked to Lycoris and asked, "Would you like to go outside for a few minutes, Lycoris?  The fresh air would be nice, wouldn't it?"

Lycoris continued to have the mischevious smile on her face, as Alex's and Nerine's silence pleased her. As Matthew made his suggestion to her, she smiled slyly and replied,

"Oh sure. A few minutes in the fresh air won't hurt. You don't want to join us, Alex?"

She made her invitation towards Alex especially, wanting to get on Nerine's nerves even more.

Alex shook his head and smiling softly, he replied, "It's all right.  You two go and enjoy the nighttime air.  I'd rather stay with my darling, if it's all the same."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Sure, we understand."

(Fortunately, I can post quite a bit tonight since Folke is going to this work thing and my class for the evening got cancelled so I'm here.  ^^)

Lycoris shrugged and replied, "Ok, maybe later then."

She winked at him before following Matthew to outside. Meanwhile, Nerine was silent but she was seething, angry and upset at what just happened.

(Nice.  XD)

After Matthew and Lycoris were outside, Matthew looked carefully at Lycoris and asked, "Hey, are you all right?"

Meanwhile, Alex turned to Nerine and said, "I'm sorry about that, darling.  Lycoris clearly wasn't being herself just now."

Lycoris raised an eyebrow and smiling slyly, she replied, 

"Of course I am all right. Better than ever, right? Hmm, although..." She was silent for a moment before she continued, 

"You are probably wondering about her, not really wondering about me, huh?"

Lady Penelope nodded in agreement and added, "Clearly her other self has taken over although it was so sudden. It doesn't usually happen like that, does it?"

Nerine remained silent however, as she didn't want to talk in front of everyone else and make a scene.

Matthew replied, "Well, yes, although there must be a reason for you to come out suddenly, right?  Do you want to talk to me about what's on your mind?"

Alex shook his head and replied, "No and that's why it's so strange.  What do we do now?"

Lycoris looked playful and shrugging, she said, 

"I was getting bored inside, so I thought I could come out and have a little fun. It isn't fair that you are all enjoying your time together and I am left out inside, right? But what did you think of how I came out? So smooth, right?"

The chancellor said, "I don't think there's anything we can do for now. I suppose Sir Matthew is talking to her at the moment so we can just wait."

Matthew replied, "Well, it was quite sudden actually.  I mean, one minute, the Lycoris we all know is there and the next minute you're here.  I can understand that you're bored but you should just talk to one of us if you feel like coming out, ok?"

Alex nodded and looked apologetically at Nerine.  He hoped that Nerine would be able to calm down and that Matthew could calm the other Lycoris.

Lycoris frowned and replied, "I don't need permission to take control, doctor. I could stay permanently if I wanted to and you would never see that other Lycoris again. That's how strong I've gotten, you see. If it were so sudden, you might just want to get used to having me around more then."

Matthew touched Lycoris' hands and replied, "Hey, I understand.  That's not what I'm saying.  It's just that, you know, most people don't have two different personalities inside so it is kind of a sudden, isn't it?  I didn't say it was unwelcome or anything like that."

He wanted to calm down the other Lycoris while trying to figure out how to get the one they all know back.

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris smiled slyly and holding Matthew's hands in hers, she replied,

"Really? It wasn't unwelcome? So maybe you don't mind my appearance so much after all?"

Matthew replied, "I don't mind you dropping by every once in a while.  It's all right with me."

He gently squeezed Lycoris' hands, as though silently trying to communicate to the Lycoris they all knew and hoped that she would be able to regain control.

Lycoris raised an eyebrow and annoyed, she replied, "Dropping by every once in a while? So that's how you think of me, huh? Some nuisance that shows up every once in a bit but you can bear it?"

Her looks turning a little dangerous and anger showing up in her voice, she quietly said,

"Don't you think that you can get rid of me, or try to erase my existence. I am far stronger than that other Lycoris you fancy so much. And if I am staying in the background, I am doing so of my own will. Do you understand that, doctor? I will come out whenever I want, stay for as long as I want, and leave when I want. Get used to that."

Matthew replied, "Hey, I don't think of you as a nuisance.  That isn't what I said.  You're not unpleasant to be around."

He reached out to touch Lycoris' cheek, to try to calm her down.

Lycoris didn't push Matthew's hand away but she didn't exactly calm down. Smirking, she said, 

"We'll see about that. I'll leave you for now, but you'll see me again soon. Tonight before you go to bed; we have something to talk about after all."

She winked at him before her expression suddenly softened, and there was a look of confusion and a little worry on her face. Obviously, the real Lycoris took control again.

She softly said, "Matt? I-I am sorry. I don't know how this happened. I have no idea how she took control like that."

Matthew shook his head and gently replied, "It's ok, Lycoris.  It couldn't be helped but are you all right?"

He looked at her with worry and concern on his face.

(I'm sorry I couldn't come on earlier to RP tonight.  Folke was helping me with some gaming stuff and it took way too long so yeah, I'm really sorry about that.  :/  I made a post now but it's really late-way too late-so I'll go to bed very soon but I'll post again before I go to work tomorrow.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yes, yes, I-I am fine. A little shaken but I feel ok and even the headache is gone." 

She paused before she tearfully continued, "I-I am sorry, Matthew. I am sorry you had to see that side of me. I-I wish you never had to meet my other side, see what she's like. I am really sorry."

As Lycoris had no idea about her other self's previous encounter with Matthew, she thought that this was the first.

(I'll be going to work very soon but I'll make this post first.  ^^)

Matthew wrapped his arms around Lycoris and hugging her, he gently replied, "Hey, it's ok.  You don't need to apologize.  You had no idea she would come out and you couldn't stop her, right?"

(Ok. ^^)

Lycoris returned Matthew's hug and nodding, she replied, 

"No, it happened so suddenly. This is the first time it goes like this. Even when she's on the verge of taking over, I usually black out or something, but this was like watching myself go into the background all of a sudden."

Matthew nodded and replied, "I see.  I wonder if that means she's getting stronger."

He paused, thinking it over, and then continued, "Do you want to go back inside or do you want to stay out here for a little longer?"

Lycoris took a deep breath and after calming down a bit, she said, 

"Let's go back inside. The others are waiting and I-I should apologize to Nerine for what I said."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Ok and just know that I'll be beside you as we return to the others."

He gently squeezed Lycoris' hand and then escorted her back inside.

Lycoris smiled a bit and nodding, she followed Matthew back to inside. The others looked at the couple as they entered tentatively, except for Nerine, who was rather calm, or cold.

As they took their seats, Lycoris quietly said, "I-I am sorry for what happened. I have no idea how she came out like that."

Matthew's dad was the first to reply and said, "It's all right.  It certainly took us by surprise but are you all right, Lycoris?  Do you feel sick or tired?"
