Alex communicated telepathically to the others,

What do we do now?  We can't Lycoris escape with that duke, even if she is an impostor.

The shapeshifter replied,

It looks like we have no choice but to fight them all. Unless anyone has another opinion, we should gather our forces and charge.

Ryan replied,

We should use the smokescreen to blind the enemy and then I can charge in and take down Lycoris.  I know a spell that'll take down her shield.  I can feel that she put one up around herself, the duke, and his forces.

Irene replied, 

In that case, I'll count until three and on three, I'll summon the smokescreen.


She waited for everyone to ready themselves and counting telepathically until three, she then summoned the smokescreen to blind the opposing party.

Once the smokescreen surrounded the enemy party, Ryan quietly charged towards Lycoris and once he was close enough, he cast a spell to take down her shield.  After that was done, he immediately teleported Lycoris away from Duke Collins and to the shapeshifter, hoping that she would be able to knock Lycoris out.

(I hope that's ok even though it makes it sound like Ryan has really incredible powers.  XD)

Lycoris was surprised as Ryan was able to take down her shield and felt him as he teleported them away although she couldn't tell where. The shapeshifter was about to act and knock her out but Lycoris didn't give her a chance to. As she had the spell of feeling their magic presence on, she could tell that she was getting dangerously close and suddenly screaming, she cast a pretty powerful spell, summoning magic energy waves that pushed everyone around her away.

Ryan and Alex were knocked to their feet as Lycoris pushed everyone around her away with a powerful spell.  Although the wind was knocked out of him for a minute, Ryan was able to get up and before giving Lycoris a chance to defend herself, he sent a sleep spell quickly in her direction.

Lycoris had summoned a shield around herself immediately after her previous spell, so the sleep spell didn't take effect. In fact, the look in her eyes was different, for it was even more aggressive and violent. Almost madly, she screamed at the top of her lungs,

"Stay away from me! Why don't you understand?! I hate you all, stay away!"

Alex got up and hearing the anger in Lycoris' voice, he used his telepathy to communicate with the others and asked,

So what do we do now?

The shapeshifter replied with frustration,

Since when has she become so powerful all of a sudden? It can't be that it's the four of us against her and she is standing up to us!


Irene replied,

The smokescreen won't last for long. She'll have more support if we don't act quickly. It seems like this personality of Lycoris knows how to make the best use of her powers.

Alex replied,

True.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to take her down?  We may have to resort to violence at this point.

The shapeshifter replied,

That was my opinion from the beginning. Let's go at her full force. We're all powerful and she won't stand against us for long.

Ryan sighed inwardly and replied,

I don't like it but we don't have a choice.  What's your plan then?

The shapeshifter replied,

Nothing too specific. We'll all attack her until she can't stand it any longer, and then we can knock her out and get out of here. Nothing too complicated but we should do so quickly.

Ryan replied,

Fine.  But should Duchess Irene keep up the smokescreen so that duke and his army can't get near Lycoris?  If so, then it'll be just the three of us.


(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

The shapeshifter replied,

The three of us can take care of it all the same. We aren't to be taken easily. 


Irene replied,

Alright, I'll take care of keeping up the smokescreen. Then you can concentrate with Lycoris.

Alex replied,

Ok, I'm with you then.


Ryan added,

Me, too.  Just give us the sign as to when we should all attack.


He directed his comment towards the shapeshifter.

The shapeshifter nodded and after she was sure that Irene had directed her attention towards the duke and his party to keep them under control, she counted until three and at three, she gave a sign for everyone to attack. 

She summoned a group of energy balls herself and charged them at Lycoris consecutively. Lycoris had a defensive shield around herself but she could feel the attacks.

Alex and Ryan, at the same time, summoned their attacks as well.  Ryan summoned a bunch of dark energy balls while Alex summoned a bunch of fire balls towards Lycoris.  Although neither of them wanted to hurt Lycoris, they felt that they didn't have a choice, as she was being very resistant.

Lycoris did her best to keep up her defensive shield although the consecutive multiple attacks on it weakened it considerably. Groaning, she yelled angrily, addressing Ryan specifically, 

"I can tell how much you love and care about me, see! You're all nothing but murderers, wishing to do nothing but capture me and kill me for what you all want!"

Ryan kept up his attacks but sadly replied,

"I'm sorry but we have no choice.  You're being too resistant and you won't listen to reason."

Lycoris groaned and the shapeshifter kept up her attacks all the same, if not making them stronger. 

Knowing that she would fall sooner or later if she kept defending, Lycoris decided to change her tactic and quickly, she teleported herself to behind the party before attacking them all with a powerful dark wave and resummoning the shield around her.

Alex felt the dark wave coming towards them and immediately, he teleported himself to safety.  Ryan did the same and then both men sensed where Lycoris was and resumed attacking.

(Man, this might go on for a while.  O.O)

The shapeshifter had felt the dark wave as well and had shapeshifted into a bird to avoid it. She moved back to her position beside Alex and Ryan and continued attacking Lycoris, wishing to bring down her defense.

Lycoris groaned angrily as her attack didn't hit but kept up her defensive shield which was strong despite the attacks thanks to her supply of powers. Angrily, she yelled,

"What do you want? To force me to give up my powers when I don't want to? Is that what you want? Even if you'll end up hurting your precious Lycoris!?"

Ryan sighed and replied, "You still don't get it, do you?  Lycoris wants to give up her powers and you're taking away her right to choose.  I love her and I don't want her to die but at the same time, it's because I love her that I'm willing to let her do this."

Alex added, "You have no idea what love is."
