Ryan nodded and replied, "I-I will."

Although he knew that Avi thought of Lycoris as more than a sister, Ryan thought it better not to tell Lycoris, as it would only add complications to her feelings.  He then continued,

"Well, you can probably guess how Duke Collins is although I have a feeling that he'll soon be leaving the castle."

Lycoris was a little surprised but she replied,

"Was he still looking for me? And why is he leaving? I hope he's finally giving up."

Ryan replied, "Yeah, he kept coming to the human world without Sia's permission, looking for you.  He claimed that she wasn't doing enough to find you even though that wasn't the case.

As for why he'll leave, he leaked out confidential information about the shapeshifter's escape.  It's causing some panic in the gods' world and Duke Collins is the cause so once he confesses, Sia can order him away for good.  I can't stand that guy.  All he does is cause trouble."

(No problem. XD)

Lycoris furrowed her eyebrows and replied,

"That's quite mean of him. Why did he do that? He must be still trying to harm Sia and such, I suppose?"

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yeah.  That man only thinks of himself but we'll put a stop to him soon.  I don't want you to worry about him although I thought you might be curious as to what he's been up to."

(Random but you might be interested in Locked Heart.  It's a free VN that just came out although I haven't had a chance to play it yet.  I have a lot of games to play now, courtesy of my significant other.  ^^)

(Ahh I see. ^^ I took a look at it and it looks pretty nice. I'll check it sometime although maybe after I am done with my exams and all. XD)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "I see. I am glad he will be leaving soon. He really does cause a lot of trouble and Sia must have a lot on her hands just because he's around."

(Cool.  If you get a chance to play it before I do, I'd like to know what you think of it.  ^^)

Ryan nodded and replied, "Yes, that's true.  But enough about him.  Melody's doing well, too.  I see her often, more so than Sia does.  I think Melody is in love with me as well.  She isn't interested in find a male horse or pegasus to love."

He chuckled a little over his comment.

(Sure, I will. ^^ Thanks a lot. ^^)

Lycoris giggled softly and replied, "I am not very surprised about that. Melody seemed quite fond of you when I met her and nobody can blame her now. You're one of a kind, Ryan."

She smiled softly, her comment coming out naturally.

(No problem.  ^^)

Ryan smiled softly as well and replied, "Thanks.  Did you know that Melody likes white roses, too?  I have to keep our love a secret, though, from Sia since she can get easily jealous."

He chuckled a bit.

Lycoris giggled happily and replied,

"I am guessing Sia is totally against sharing, huh? Though she may not mind when it's Melody. She loves her a lot after all and Melody feels the same way."

Ryan replied, "Yes, you may be right about that.  I'm sure we could have found a nice male horse or pegasus for Melody but she'll only have me."

He smiled softly, touching Lycoris' hands and enjoying her company.

Lycoris smiled and replied,

"I don't blame her one bit. And how is Duchess Irene doing? And everything else in the gods' world? I am hoping things are a little quieter between Sia's people?"

Ryan replied, "Duchess Irene is fine.  She goes to the academy regularly to do her work as a teacher there.  I confided in her about what was going on.

As for the people, they're a bit restless because of the news about everyone escaping but once things quiet down, I think they'll be calm."

Lycoris nodded and after a moment of silence, she said,

"I am a little worried about the chancellor. I-I know that Sia will be furious that he escaped but he said that he's planning to turn himself back in soon. I hope she understands that it wasn't his fault. We-we are the ones who asked him to come with us and helped him escape."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I see.  I was surprised that you all were responsible for the chancellor's escape but I guess since the shapeshifter couldn't be reached at the time, he was the next option to free?"

Lycoris nodded and replied,

"We needed someone who had good knowledge of everything about the castle and the chancellor was a wonderful choice. And he was easier to free, as we knew where he was and everything."

Ryan replied, "I see.  That does make sense and it's a clever decision.  Sia was quite infuriated when she found out about the chancellor's escape but I'm glad to know that he plans to turn himself in.  If it helps, I'll do my best to vouch for him.  I'll tell him that his escape wasn't by choice.  Hopefully, Sia will have some mercy on him."

Lycoris nodded and replied,

"Please do, Ryan. I am worried about what will happen to him and all. I know that Sia must have been quite frustrated and stressed by all that but we really had no choice and I don't want him to be harmed by what we did."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I'll do my best.  Sia did listen to me before when I asked that the chancellor be put in his room rather than placed in the dungeons so she can be merciful if persuaded well.  So don't you worry about it, ok?  I'll take care of it."

Lycoris smiled gratefully and replied,

"Thanks, Ryan. I appreciate it and I am sure the chancellor will be quite thankful as well. He's a good man."

Ryan smiled softly and replied, "Yes, I'm certain of that as well.  His past actions may have been wrong but he did have good intentions.  I understand why he did the things he did.  I am surprised that he wants to turn himself in, though.  He could certainly stay here now that he's free and try to make a life for himself."

Lycoris replied, "He says that he has nothing to run away from and that he's ready to face Sia's decision no matter what it is. He's a very brave man and I do admire him very much."

Ryan nodded and replied, "I see.  He's a very good man and of high character to want to do the right thing.  Hopefully, Sia will see him in a better light once everything calms down and I'll vouch for him."

She paused then thinking of something, she said, "When this is over...only the issue about the captain will remain. He's still free after all. Do-do you think he will try to cause any troubles, hurt anyone when he finds out that my powers are gone?"
