Lycoris waited patiently for Alex to finish getting ready for the night, feeling better inside and more relieved that things went well for everyone.

Lisianthus stopped and turning around, she shook her head and replied sadly,

"No, leave me alone. I need to be by myself for a while. Just go to bed; you collapsed earlier, remember? Don't push yourself."

(Back and free now.  I had work today although I usually wouldn't but because of the way the holidays fell this year and all, I had to go out.  But it's all good.  XD)

Alex quickly washed up and changed into a pair of pajamas.  Then he left the bathroom and put away his clothes.  Approaching Lycoris, he then said,

"I'm done.  Are you ready?"

Ryan looked saddened that Lisianthus wanted to be alone but nodding, he replied, "Ok, I understand but come to bed at some point to get some sleep, ok?"

(Ahh welcome back. XD)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yup, I am."

She got up carefully and with Alex's help, she followed him to the bathroom so he could help her get ready for the night.

Lisianthus nodded without saying anything and then left the room, heading towards her office, wanting to be alone for a while as she felt quite stressed and saddened.

Alex helped Lycoris to brush her teeth and wash her face.  Then he fetched a nightgown and handing it to her, he said,

"Here's your nightgown, Lycoris.  Call for me when you're done and I'll help to brush your hair."

Ryan returned to bed and sighed to himself.  Although he knew he had done the right thing, he hated that Lisianthus had to be hurt in the process.  But he didn't know whether she could do the right thing if she knew the truth.

(I feel kind of bad for Lisianthus although I understand everyone's reasons for not telling her what's going on.  :/)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Ok."

She waited until Alex left the bathroom and closed the door, then changed out of her clothes and into the nightgown. Once she was all done, she reached out for the door again and opening it, she called out,

"I'm done, Alex."

(Yup, I agree there. There was no way she would have let the shapeshifter go regardless of anything. XD)

Lisianthus went to her office and gave her orders for the soldiers there to leave her alone. She felt terrible, for she felt that she was failing at facing the problem at hand, and that if anything happened to Lycoris or Alex, it would be her responsibility. She was worried about them, afraid to lose any of them and terribly angry at herself that the castle's security had become so weak.

Unusually, Lisianthus felt like crying or screaming but she didn't, as she couldn't look weak in front of herself, never.

(Yup, and I'll skip Ryan's part unless he's needed.  XD)

Alex approached Lycoris and taking the hairbrush, he gently brushed her hair.  After he was done, he hugged her from behind and said,

"You look beautiful and all ready for the night."

(Ok. XD)

Lycoris smiled softly and gently putting her hands over Alex's, she happily said,

"I am sure I do thanks to all your help. But tell me, do you still look as handsome as you used to, hm?"

Alex blushed deeply and replied, "I sure hope so.  After all, you only deserve a handsome man to be with you."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on the cheek and gazed at their reflections in the mirror.

Lycoris blushed as well and getting an idea, she carefully turned around and reached out gently for Alex's face, touching it ever so softly and feeling it. She then smiled softly and said,

"You do look as handsome as ever, I can tell."

Alex blushed more and shyly replied,

"Thanks, Lycoris.  You only deserve the best, after all.  Now that we're both ready, how about we get some sleep?  I'll hold you in my arms so you can be safe and happy."

Lycoris nodded happily and agreeing that getting some sleep was a good idea, she replied,

"Ok. Lead the way then."

Alex nodded and gently holding Lycoris' arm, he led the way out of the bathroom and back to bed.  There, he placed Lycoris on the bed and then put away her clothes.  Climbing into bed beside her, Alex wrapped his arms around her and softly said,

"Good night, Lycoris.  Sleep well and see you in the morning."

Lycoris smiled softly to Alex and said, "Good night, Alex. Sweet dreams."

She reached out to kiss him gently on the cheek then placing her head on the pillow, she closed her eyes, soon falling asleep.

(I'll start off the next morning.  XD)

The next morning, Alex woke up a little after the sunrise.  He felt refreshed after having gotten some sleep and he gazed happily at Lycoris, who was sleeping peacefully beside him.  He wondered what the day would bring but would have to wait until he could meet up with the others to figure out what to do next.

(Alright and I'll start the day for Ryan and Lisianthus. XD)

A little after Alex woke up, Lycoris opened her eyes and woke up as well. She felt better as well after a good night's rest. She asked softly,

"Are you awake yet, Alex?"

The next day early in the morning, Lisianthus went out of her office and headed to the room to meet with Ryan, see if he had woken up yet. She was in the same mood as the night before if not worse. She did get an hour of sleep in her office but spent the rest of the time trying to figure out a solution for the problem but unfortunately in vain.

(Ok.  XD)

Alex smiled softly upon hearing Lycoris' voice and replied, "Yes, I'm awake.  Good morning, Lycoris.  Did you sleep well?"

Ryan had woken up but he noticed that Lisianthus didn't return to the room at all last night.  He was worried that she had stayed up the entire night and he couldn't help feeling that he was part of the cause for Lisianthus' distress.

Lycoris smiled softly as Alex replied to her and replied,

"Good morning, Alex. Yes, I slept well and what about you?"

Lisianthus made it back to her and Ryan's room and after knocking gently on it, she entered the room. Seeing that Ryan was already awake, she smiled faintly to him and said,

"You're awake. Good morning. How are you feeling today?"

Alex nodded happily and replied, "I did, too.  It helped to have you beside me as I slept."

He smiled softly and looking out the window, he added, "It looks to be another beautiful morning."

Ryan smiled a bit and replied, "I'm all right.  I got some sleep but what about you, beautiful?  You didn't come back at all last night, did you?"

Lycoris smiled softly and replied, "I hope the day is equally as beautiful. We should get up and start the day. Hopefully, it can be a nice day with good news."

Lisianthus shook her head but she replied, "I didn't but I got a bit of sleep at the office. Don't worry about me, ok?"

She paused then said, "The others are probably gathering for breakfast by now and we shouldn't keep them waiting. You can use the bathroom first and I'll want to wash up and change my clothes afterwards."

Alex nodded and replied, "That sounds like a good idea.  I'll get ready first and then come get you."

He gave Lycoris a kiss on the cheek and after getting out of bed, he took a change of clothes and went into the bathroom to shower.

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok.  You should get some rest while I get ready."

He got up and gave Lisianthus a quick kiss.  After taking a change of clothes, he went into the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day.

Lycoris waited patiently for Alex to finish using the bathroom, looking forward to the day's events and what it brings.

Lisianthus took a seat in one of the chairs but she couldn't rest, as she worried about how she would carry the news to everyone else. What would Avi say? How would Nerine react, when she must have been so worried about Alex? What about Bryan and Rosaline, who would be quite worried about their friends? She felt like she was failing everyone else and couldn't shake off that feeling.

Alex quickly took his shower and after drying off, he put on a pair of blue jeans and a white shirt.  Then he combed his hair and left the bathroom, putting away his pajamas.  Then he prepared a warm bath for Lycoris as well as set aside clean towels and a bathrobe.  Once that was done, he approached Lycoris and said,

"I'm all done.  Are you ready?"

Ryan took his shower and quickly dried off.  He put on a pair of black jeans and a dark green shirt.  After combing his hair, he left the bathroom and approaching Lisianthus, he said,

"I'm all done.  The bathroom's yours, beautiful."

(Oh if I'm really slow in posting, it's because I'm chatting with two friends as well as playing Area-X all at once.  lol)

(Ahh no problem, take your time. XD)

Lycoris nodded and replied, "Yup, I am ready."

She carefully got up and waited for Alex to lead her to the bathroom.

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Ok, I'll be quick."

She found herself a change of clothes then entered the bathroom to wash up and get ready for the day.

Alex gently held Lycoris' arm and escorted her into the bathroom.  There, he guided her hands as to where the bathrobe and towels were.  Then he guided her hands to the water in the bathtub and asked, "Is the water warm enough?"

As Lisianthus got herself ready for the day, Ryan put away his pajamas and then decided to tidy the room a bit.  He was worried about Lisianthus' state and without a doubt, he would need to talk to Duchess Irene again.

Lycoris felt the water with her hands and nodding, she said, "Yup, it feels good. Thanks, Alex. I'll finish quickly then let you know once I am all done."

Lisianthus took a quick shower then changed into a brown blouse and a short jeans skirt. She arranged her hair and let it flow beautifully down her shoulders. She did look pretty tired but she hoped that she could mask that with good clothes and hair.

Once she was done, she went out of the bathroom and put away her clothes then said, "All done, Ryan. We should head downstairs."
